Imam As-Sa'di رحمه الله said “From the reasons that increases Imaan is knowing the beauty and merits of Islam.
The religion of Islam as a whole is beautiful, full of benefits and merits. It has the most accurate of truthfulness and beneficial beliefs. Its mannerism and character emphasize the best, most praiseworthy and beautiful of characteristics. Its legislations and deeds are the most just and the best of rulings.
Whoever views Islam in this light, Allah will cause his Imaan to glow along with instilling a deep love for this religion in his heart. As Allah has bestowed this blessing upon the best of all of His creations, He says:
وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ
but Allāh has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience (to Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ) hateful to you. These! They are the rightly guided ones,
-Surah Al-Hujurat:7”

Is it ever possible to talk about Islamic terror?
Islam orders man to set up good relations around him and have him pleased by people around. It never does otherwise. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) defines a Muslim as follows:
"A Muslim is a person whose hands and tongue harm nobody.
A Muslim always comes out winner when the concerns are peace, tolerance, dialogue. Because a Muslim is always representative of the right and true. Rights and truths spread around the world only through peace, tolerance, dialogue; not through hatred, violence, intimidation, or conflict.
See where the warning in the Surah Al-Hujurat takes peace and solidarity to:
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other).
As you see the verse does not say, We created you so that races, tribes, countries may fight against each other, the powerful may oppress the weak. On the contrary, It warns us about the importance of congregation and solidarity.
What will happen if people meet each other and be in solidarity? Muslims will take the technology from who they are in close touch with and will be prosperous by exporting the production of a number of goods, which are abundantly supplied by them. Besides they will show the truths of which they are representative in this way.
Thus, they will serve humanity in both material and spiritual ways and find opportunity to offer Islam that they are representative of.
The Holy Quran invites Muslims to be both tolerant and patient in this respect and warns them clearly.
In Medina, polytheists and Muslims lived together. As known polytheists had opposite thoughts and faith to those of Muslims. Though they lived together, there was not a single trouble. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was pleased about it. Because a Muslim came out winner from peace; and polytheists, who saw Muslims common sense, controlled their conscience and converted to Islam gradually.
Sensing this situation, one of the polytheists from Gatafan tribe wanted to raise a commotion. Then he uttered improper words to Caliph Umar (PBUH) whom he came across. When he let the point reach to swear words, Umar attempted to attack him. Those who intervened hardly prevented a big riot to take place.
Thus, there appeared a tension and insecurity between Muslims and polytheists. They suddenly adopted two opposite fronts.
At that time, the verses (14-15) from the Surah Al-Jathiya came. These verses announced that Muslims should not be involved in any act of confusion, should disregard their provocations, and both sides will eventually gather before Allah (SWT) for an account, that Muslims should set up good relations with polytheists. The other warnings of the verse, which further clarified the event, is as follows: If anyone does a righteous deed, it endures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord.
The verses that we offer here announced to get on well with polytheists, not to resort to settling accounts if not necessary since Allah (SWT) will call everybody into account in the Hereafter. This is a significant warning and guidance. The religion of Islam does not permit anybody to punish those who do not think and live as we do, because, as the verses stress, it is only Allah (SWT) Who may punish somebody. This punishment will take place in the Hereafter. In short, there is no terror in Islam but there is battle if necessary. And the conditions for a probable war have been laid down in Islamic law clearly and in full detail. The battles observing those rules are called jihad, the opposite is anarchy.

TEFSIR ibn KATHIR
Surah Qaf
Revealed in Makkah
The Beginning of the Mufassal Section of the Qur'an
This Surah is the first Surah in the Mufassal section of the Qur'an, according to the correct view.
It is said that the Mufassal starts with Surah Al-Hujurat. Some common people say that the Mufassal starts with Surah `Amma An-Naba, (Surah 78), however, this is not true because none of the respected scholars ever supported this opinion.
Aws (bin Hudhayfah) said;
"I asked the Companions of Allah's Messenger that how they divided the Qur'an.
They said; `Three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen, and the Mufassal section as one.' ''
This was recorded by Ibn Majah and Imam Ahmad.
If one counts forty-eight Surahs, the next Surah will be Surah Qaf. The details are as follows:
The first three Surahs are: (Surah 2-4)
- Al-Baqarah - Al `Imran - An-Nisa'
The next five Surahs are: (Surah 5-9).
- Al-Ma'idah - Al-An`am - Al-A`raf
- Al-Anfal - At-Tawbah
The seven next Surahs are: (Surah 10-16)
- Yunus - Hud - Yusuf
- Ar-Ra`d - Ibrahim - Al-Hijr
- An-Nahl
The nine next Surahs are: (Surah 17-25)
- Al-Isra' - Al-Kahf - Maryam
- Ta Ha - Al-Anbiya - Al-Hajj
- Al-Mu`minun - An-Nur - Al-Furqan
The next eleven Surahs are: (Surah 26-36)
- Ash-Shu`ara - An-Naml - Al-Qasas
- Al-`Ankabut - Ar-Rum - Luqman
- Alif Lam Mim As-Sajdah - Al-Ahzab
- Saba' - Fatir - Ya Sin
The next thirteen Surahs are: (Surah 37-49)
- As-Saffat - Sad - Az-Zumar
- Ghafir - Fussilat - Ash-Shura
- Az-Zukhruf - Ad-Dukhan - Al-Jathiyah
- Al-Ahqaf - Muhammad - Al-Fath
- Al-Hujurat
After that comes the Mufassal section, according to the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.
Therefore, Surah Qaf is the first of the Mufassal, just as we stated, and all praise is due to Allah and all favors are from Him.
The Virtues of Surah Qaf
Imam Ahmad recorded that Umar bin Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laythi,
"What did the Prophet recite during the `Id Prayer''
Abu Waqid said, "Surah Qaf and Surah Iqtarabat i.e. Surah Al-Qamar (54).''
Muslim and the Four Collectors of the Sunan collected this Hadith.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Umm Hisham bint Harithah said,
"For around two years, or a year and a part of another year, our oven and the oven of the Prophet was one and the same. I memorized Surah, (Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an), from the tongue of the Messenger of Allah who used to recite it every Friday while standing on the Minbar delivering the Friday sermon to the people.''
Muslim collected this Hadith.
Abu Dawud also recorded that the daughter of Al-Harith bin An-Numan said,
"I only memorized Surah Qaf from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah who used to recite it in every Friday Khutbah. Our oven and the oven of the Messenger was one and the same.''
Muslim and An-Nasa'i collected this Hadith.
Therefore, the Messenger of Allah used to recite this Surah during large gatherings such as the `Ids and during Friday sermons. He did so because this Surah contains news of the beginning of creation, Resurrection, the Return, Standing (before Allah), the Reckoning, Paradise, the Fire, Allah's reward and punishment, lessons of encouragement, and lessons of discouragement.
Allah knows best.
Surah Qaf Ayah 1-5
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
1 Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an.
2. Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!''
3. "When we are dead and have become dust. (Shall we be resurrected). That is a far return.''
4. We know that which the earth takes of them, and with Us is a Book preserved.
5. Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.
Allah swears:
Qaf, By the Glorious Qur'an.
Qaf, which is one of the letters of the alphabet that are mentioned in the beginning of some Surahs, such as, (Sad) (38:1), (Nun) (68:1), (Alif Lam Mim) (2:1), (Ha Mim) (40:1), and (Ta Sin) (28:1) and etc.,
Mujahid and several others said this.
We also discussed this in the beginning of the explanation of Surah Al-Baqarah, and therefore, it is not necessary to repeat it here.
The Disbelievers wonder at the Message and Resurrection
Allah said,
Allah swears: By the Glorious Qur'an. means by the Honorable and Great Qur'an, which, Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it: (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise. (41:42)
The subject of the oath contained in this Ayah is specified afterwards, even though it does not appear by word, emphasizing Prophethood, resurrection and affirming that they are true.
There are similar kinds of oaths in the Qur'an, whose subject is included in the meaning but not by word, such as, Sad. By the Qur'an full of reminding. Nay, those who disbelieve are in false pride and opposition. (38:1-2)
Allah said here,
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an. Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!''
They wondered at the wisdom behind sending a Messenger who is a human being. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said in another Ayah Is it a wonder for mankind that We have sent Our revelation to a man from among themselves (saying): "Warn mankind.'' (10:2), meaning, this is not strange, for Allah chooses Messengers from angels and humans.
Allah the Exalted and Most Honored mentioned that the disbelievers also wondered about the Resurrection and discounted its coming,
When we are dead and have become dust. That is a far return.
They said, `after we die, disintegrate, with our organs torn apart and we become dust, how can we be brought back to our original shape and bodies,'
(That is a far return). `it is not likely that it will ever occur.'
They thought that Resurrection was far from happening and will never occur.
Allah the Exalted responded to their statement by saying, We know that which the earth takes of them.
meaning, `We know what the earth consumes of their dead bodies.' Where and how the bodies disintegrated, what they turned into and how they have become, all of this is never absent from Allah's knowledge.
and with Us is a Book preserved, `that keeps all records. Therefore, Our knowledge is encompassing and the Book of decrees has everything precisely recorded in it. Al-`Awfi narrated that Abdullah bin Abbas commented on the statement of Allah the Exalted, (We know that which the earth takes of them),
"It refers to what the earth consumes of their flesh, skin, bones and hair.''
A similar view was recorded from Mujahid, Qatadah, Ad-Dahhak and several others.
Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored, explained the reason behind their disbelief, rebellion and discounting the possibility of what is truly possible,
Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.
This is the state of all those who defy the Truth: whatever they say and utter after denying the Truth, is utterly false.
Marij means, in disarray, in a confused state and defying the characteristics of the Truth.
Allah the Exalted said in other Ayah, Certainly, you have different ideas. Turned aside therefrom is he who is turned aside. (51:8-9)

Usrah Second Session (Al-Hujurat)
Assalamuallaikum wrt. wbt.
Today is my second session for Usrah but I couldn’t attend because I had a workshop to attend, though I did tell my Naqibah about my dismissal. I was informed that we will be learning about Surah Al-Hujurat.
Although, I wasn’t there I did my own informal study about the Surah. Here’s a few takeaways.
From Ayah 1-5, it says that those who came before Prophet PBUH showed their respect by prioritizing his directives instead of asserting their own views.
From Ayah 6-10:  This section throws light upon the communal affairs and the collective attitude of the Muslims. The dealings of the Muslims with one and another should be based on brotherhood and fraternity not on the basis of association with a particular party or group. It is totally forbidden for a Muslim faction to launch an assault over another Muslim faction by trusting the account of an evil doer, something upon which they would themselves feel ashamed later on. In all important affairs they should leave the decision making to the Prophet (pbuh) and follow his directives. To obtain the support and sympathy of the Prophet (pbuh), no party should unduly pressurize the Prophet (pbuh). This would be showing disregard to the blessing of faith the Almighty has bestowed them with. After tasting the sweet flavour of faith, anything done unworthy of it would be tantamount to a return to disbelief and faithlessness. The Almighty has endeared faith to them and made disbelief and wrongdoing abhorrent to them precisely to prevent this return. The surah further gives guidance to the believers when two of their parties take up arms against one another. They must not support either of these parties because of their association with it, instead they should view the whole affair with justice and fairness and try to make peace between them. If one of the parties commits aggression against the other, Muslims should fight against these agressors after they have been made aware of their gross unfairness till they submit to Allah's judgement.
From 11-13:  In this section, the Muslims have been advised to refrain from all those activities which create hatred among them and which ignite the flames of disorder and disruption in the society. No Muslim should mock or defame another Muslim or insult him by nicknames. Muslims should also avoid immoderate suspicion, and also refrain from hunting down each others' mistakes. Moreover, they must also abstain from backbiting. Pride and vanity about one's clan, family or creed are relics of the period of ignorance before Islam and must not be persisted with. The Almighty has created all mankind from a single pair of man and woman. The real aim behind dividing mankind into various groups and tribes is that they should identify each other on the basis of their own separate characteristics, instead of being lost in the vastness of a single group. The basis of honour in the sight of Allah is piety and not association with a particular clan or tribe.
From Ayah 14-18:  The last section, in essence, reiterates what has been indicated in the beginning of the surah. It becomes clear from this section, that the people who are under discussion in the initial verses of the surah are the Bedouin who lived in the whereabouts of Medina and who had accepted Islam only because they were over-awed by its increasing political strength. Therefore, the true essence of faith had not found its way into their hearts and they vainly reckoned that they had done the Prophet (pbuh) a great favour by accepting Islam. As a result, they had developed a vain attitude and behaviour, about which actually they have been warned in the beginning of the surah. Here, at the end, the Almighty has asked the Prophet (pbuh) to convey to these people that they must not think that Islam is indebted to them; the Almighty has full knowledge of their inner and outer selves. Though they have submitted, yet faith has not found its roots in their hearts. They have done Islam no favour by accepting faith, rather the Almighty has done them a favour by guiding them to the fragrance of faith. If they now fulfil the obligations which their faith now imposes on them, they shall be duly rewarded, for the Almighty is watching all their deeds.

THE 7 CONDITIONS OF "LA ILAAHA ILLA ALLAH"
1          KNOWLEDGE: about whom we are worshipping is critical for understanding Islam.  Knowledge in Islam consists of recognizing Allah as the only true God to Whom worship must be dedicated, and denouncing all gods worshipped besides Allah as false, and that they can neither extend benefit nor cause harm.  It calls for complete disassociation from false deities and for the purification of intentions:
“So know (O Muhammad (saw)) that La ilaha illa Allah (none has the right to be worshiped except Allah) and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women.” [1]
The Prophet (saw) said:
“He who died knowing (full well) that there is no true God worthy of being worshipped except Allah, entered Al Jannah.” [2]
2          CERTAINTY:  that the belief in Allah must be unblemished with any doubt.
"Only those are the believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allah” [3]
The Prophet (saw) said:
"I bear witness that La illah illal’lah, (No one has the right to be worshipped except Allah) and I am his Messenger. The slave of Allah who would meet Him (Allah) without harbouring any doubts about this (the testification) would enter Al Jannah." [4]
3          ACCEPTANCE:  that is, to accept all the conditions of the declaration.  Adherence to the meaning of the testification safeguards the believer from arrogance which Allah forbade:
“Truly, when it was said to them: La illaha illa Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it).” [5]
4          SUBMISSION:  that is, to fulfill it's conditions submissively and willingly being content with Allah (swt) as the Rabb (only Lord) and Muhammad (saw) as His last Prophet and Messenger.
“And whoever submits his face (himself) to Allah, while he is a Muhsin (good-doer ie performs good deeds totally for Allah’s sake without any show off or to gain praise or fame and does them in accordance with the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger Muhammad (saw)), then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold [La ilaha illa Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)].” [6]
5          TRUTHFULNESS: that is, to fulfill it's requirements truthfully.  This paves the way for meaningful understanding of the Oneness of Allah (swt) and strengthens the drive towards achieving knowledge about Allah (swt).  The hypocrite utters the testification, but conceals rejection in his heart:
“They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts.” [7]
The Prophet (saw) said:
"There is none who testifies sincerely (from his heart) that there is no God worthy of being worshipped except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, except that Allah will save him from the hell-fire." [8]
6          SINCERITY: that is, to be sincere in worshipping Allah, dedicating all acts of worship to Him alone.  The intention behind the performance of any kind of worship must be purely devoted to Allah.
Say (O Muhammad (saw)): “Verily I am commanded to worship Allah (Alone) by obeying Him and doing religious deeds sincerely for His sake only.” [9]
7          LOVE OF ALLAH (SWT) AND LOVE OF HIS MESSENGER (SAW): and the love of Allah's devotees and the people of His obedience, which means love of all Muslims.  The testification requires that the person: loves Allah and His Messenger (saw) more than anything else, and loves what Allah and His messenger love, and hates or dislikes what Allah and His Messenger hate or dislike (what negatively affects the person’s attachment to Islam)
“And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah).  They love them as they love Allah.  But those who believe love Allah more (than all else).” [10]
The Prophet (saw) said:
“Whoever possesses (the following) of three qualities will relish the sweetness (delight) of Eemaan (Faith): The one to whom Allah and His messenger (saw) becomes dearer than anything else: that he loves a person for Allah Alone (i.e. purely seeking Allah (swt) and His pleasure); that he hates to revert to Kufr (disbelief) after Allah has rescued him from it as he hates to be thrown in hell." [11]
The love of Allah (swt) and His messenger (saw) must translate to a real following of the commands of Allah (swt) and that of the Prophet Muhammad (saw).  This negates the following of any innovator who introduces concepts/ways that are not in accordance with the Islamic teachings.

The Beginning of the Mufassal Section of the Qur’an
This Surah is the first Surah in the Mufassal section of the Qur’an, according to the correct view. It is said that the Mufassal starts with Surat Al-Hujurat. Some common people say that the Mufassal starts with Surah `Amma An-Naba, (chapter 78), however, this is not true because none of the respected scholars ever supported this opinion. Aws (bin Hudhayfah) said; “I asked the Companions of Allah’s Messenger () how they divided the Qur’an. They said; `Three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen, and the Mufassal section as one.’ ” This was recorded by Ibn Majah and Imam Ahmad. If one counts forty-eight Surahs, the next Surah will be Surah Qaf. The details are as follows: The ﴿first﴾ three Surahs are Al-Baqarah (chapter 2), Al `Imran (3), then An-Nisa’ (4). The five are Al-Ma’idah (5), Al-An`am (6), Al-A`raf (7), Al-Anfal (8) and Bara’ah (or At-Tawbah) (9). The seven next Surahs are Surah Yunus (10), Hud (11), Yusuf (12), Ar-Ra`d (13), Ibrahim (14), Al-Hijr (15) and An-Nahl (16). The nine next Surahs are, Subhan (or Al-Isra’ (17)﴾, Al-Kahf (18), Maryam (19), Ta Ha (20), Al-Anbiya’ (21), Al-Hajj (22), Al-Mu`minun (23), An-Nur (24) and Al-Furqan (25). The next eleven Surahs are Surat Ash-Shu`ara (26), An-Naml (27), Al-Qasas (28), Al-`Ankabut (29), Ar-Rum (30), Luqman (31), Alif Lam Mim As-Sajdah (32), Al-Ahzab (33), Saba’ (34), Fatir (35) and Ya Sin (36). The next thirteen are Surat As-Saffat (37), Sad (38), Az-Zumar (39), Ghafir (40), Ha Mim As-Sajdah (or Fussilat) (41), Ash-Shura (42), Az-Zukhruf (43), Ad-Dukhan (44), Al-Jathiyah (45), Al-Ahqaf (46), Al-Qital (or Muhammad) (47), Al-Fath (48) and Al-Hujurat (49). After that comes the Mufassal section, according to the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all. Therefore, Surah Qaf (chapter 50) is the first of the Mufassal, just as we stated, and all praise is due to Allah and all favors are from Him.
The Virtues of Surah Qaf
Imam Ahmad recorded that `Umar bin Al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid Al-Laythi, “What did the Prophet recite during the `Id Prayer” Abu Waqid said, “Surah Qaf and Surat Iqtarabat (i.e. Surat Al-Qamar (54)).” Muslim and the Four Collectors of the Sunan collected this Hadith. Imam Ahmad recorded that Umm Hisham bint Harithah said, “For around two years, or a year and a part of another year, our oven and the oven of the Prophet was one and the same. I memorized Surah,
(Qaf. By the Glorious Qur’an.) from the tongue of the Messenger of Allah who used to recite it every Friday while standing on the Minbar delivering the Friday sermon to the people.” Muslim collected this Hadith. Abu Dawud also recorded that the daughter of Al-Harith bin An-Nu`man said, “I only memorized Surah Qaf from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah who used to recite it in every Friday Khutbah. Our oven and the oven of the Messenger was one and the same.” Muslim and An-Nasa’i collected this Hadith. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah used to recite this Surah during large gatherings such as the `Ids and during Friday sermons. He did so because this Surah contains news of the beginning of creation, Resurrection, the Return, Standing (before Allah), the Reckoning, Paradise, the Fire, Allah’s reward and punishment, lessons of encouragement, and lessons of discouragement. Allah knows best.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. Qaf. By the Glorious Qur’an.) (2. Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: “This is a strange thing!”) (3. “When we are dead and have become dust. (Shall we be resurrected) That is a far return.”) (4. We know that which the earth takes of them, and with Us is a Book preserved.) (5. Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.)
(Qaf.) which is one of the letters of the alphabet that are mentioned in the beginning of some Surahs, such as,
(Sad.) (38:1)
(Nun. ) (68:1)
(Alif Lam Mim.) (2:1),
(Ha Mim.) (40:1), and
(Ta Sin) (28:1) and etc., Mujahid and several others said this. We also discussed this in the beginning of the explanation of Surat Al-Baqarah, and therefore, it is not necessary to repeat it here.
The Disbelievers wonder at the Message and Resurrection Allah said,
(By the Glorious Qur’an.) means by the Honorable and Great Qur’an, which,
(Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it: (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise.)(41:42) The subject of the oath contained in this Ayah is specified afterwards, even though it does not appear by word, emphasizing prophethood, resurrection and affirming that they are true. There are similar kinds of oaths in the Qur’an, whose subject is included in the meaning but not by word, such as,
(Sad. By the Qur’an full of reminding. Nay, those who disbelieve are in false pride and opposition.)(38:1-2) Allah said here,
(Qaf. By the Glorious Qur’an. Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: “This is a strange thing!”) They wondered at the wisdom behind sending a Messenger who is a human being. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said in another Ayah
(Is it a wonder for mankind that We have sent Our revelation to a man from among themselves (saying): “Warn mankind.”) (10:2), meaning, this is not strange, for Allah chooses Messengers from angels and humans. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored mentioned that the disbelievers also wondered about the Resurrection and discounted its coming,
(When we are dead and have become dust. That is a far return.) They said, `after we die, disintegrate, with our organs torn apart and we become dust, how can we be brought back to our original shape and bodies,’
(That is a far return.) `it is not likely that it will ever occur.’ They thought that Resurrection was far from happening and will never occur. Allah the Exalted responded to their statement by saying,
(We know that which the earth takes of them.) meaning, `We know what the earth consumes of their dead bodies.’ Where and how the bodies disintegrated, what they turned into and how they have become, all of this is never absent from Allah’s knowledge.
(and with Us is a Book preserved,) `that keeps all records. Therefore, Our knowledge is encompassing and the Book of decrees has everything precisely recorded in it. Al-`Awfi narrated that `Abdullah bin `Abbas commented on the statement of Allah the Exalted,
(We know that which the earth takes of them,) “It refers to what the earth consumes of their flesh, skin, bones and hair.” A similar view was recorded from Mujahid, Qatadah, Ad-Dahhak and several others. Allah, the Exalted and Most Honored, explained the reason behind their disbelief, rebellion and discounting the possibility of what is truly possible,
(Nay, but they have denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a Marij state.) This is the state of all those who defy the Truth: whatever they say and utter after denying the Truth, is utterly false. Marij means, in disarray, in a confused state and defying the characteristics of the Truth. Allah the Exalted said in another Ayah,
(Certainly, you have different ideas. Turned aside therefrom is he who is turned aside.)(51:8-9)
(6. Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no Furuj in it) (7. And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon Rawasi standing firm, and We planted in it every lovely (Bahij) pair.) (8. An insight and a Reminder for every servant who turns to Allah in repentance.) (9. And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith Jannat and grain that are reaped.) (10. And date palms Basiqat, with arranged clusters.) (11. A provision for the servants. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the Resurrection.)
Allah’s Power and Ability over what is Greater than Resurrection
Allah the Exalted notifies the servants of His infinite power, which He demonstrated by creating what is bigger than that which they wondered about and whose possibility they discount,
(Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it,) with lamps;
(and there are no Furuj in it) i.e., clefts, according to Mujahid. Others said that Furuj means, rifts, or cracks. All these meanings are close to one another. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said,
(Who has created the seven heavens one above another; you can see no fault in the creation of the Most Gracious. Then look again: “Can you see any rifts” Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out.) (67:2-4) fatigued, unable to discover any imperfection or shortcomings. The statement of Allah the Exalted, the Blessed,
(And the earth! We have spread it out, ) means, `We made it spacious and spread it out,’
(and set thereon Rawasi standing firm.) which are the mountains to save the earth from shaking along with its inhabitants,
(and We planted in it every lovely (Bahij) pair.) every kind and species of plant, fruit and vegetation,
(And of everything We have created pairs that you may reflect.)(51:49) Allah’s saying `Bahij’, meaning a beautiful scene,
(An insight and a Reminder for every servant who turns to Allah in repentance.) Allah says that observing the creation of the heavens and earth and all the great things that He has placed in them provides insight, proof and a lesson for every penitent servant who submits in humbleness and repentance to Allah feeling fear, in awe of Him. Allah the Exalted said,
(And We send down blessed water from the sky,) meaning beneficial,
(then We produce therewith Jannat), means special and public parks, gardens, etc.
(and grain that are reaped) grains that are harvested for food and for storage for later use,
(And date palms Basiqat,) meaning, tall and high, according to the explanation reported from Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, `Ikrimah, Al-Hasan, Qatadah and As-Suddi. Allah said,
(with arranged clusters.) producing fruits arranged in clusters,
(A provision for (Allah’s) servants.) for (Allah’s) creation,
(And We give life therewith to a dead land.) this is the land that was barren. However, when rain falls upon it, it is stirred to life; it swells and produces all of the lovely pairs such as flowers and the like — amazing on account of their beauty. All of this comes into existence after the land was without greenery, yet it was stirred back to life and became green. Indeed, this should provide proof of Resurrection after death and disintegration; thus Allah resurrects the dead. This sign of Allah’s ability that is seen and witnessed is greater than the denial of those who discount the possibility of Resurrection. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said in other Ayat,
(The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind;) (40:57),
(Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, is able to give life to the dead Yes, He surely is Able to do all things.)(46:33) and,
(And among His signs (is this), that you see the earth barren; but when We send down water to it, it is stirred to life and growth. Verily, He Who gives it life, surely is able to give life to the dead. Indeed He is Able to do all things.)(41:39)
(12. Denied before them the people of Nuh, and the Dwellers of Rass, and Thamud,) (13. And `Ad, and Fir`awn, and the brethren of Lut,) (14. And the Dwellers of Al-Aykah, and the people of Tubba`. Everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My threat took effect.) (15. Were We then tired with the first creation Nay, they are in confused doubt about a new creation.)

Wahabbi Militarism Perverted The Prophet's Teachings
Tumblr media
A deadly ambush by ISIS that left 26 people killed and 25 more wounded has left the Egyptian Coptic Community shaken. The attack happened when there were two buses and a truck full of Coptic Christians on their way to the Saint Samuel Monastery. ISIS has publicly stated that it will escalate its war on Coptic Christians. Referencing an article in the New York Times, ISIS justified these attacks on the rationale that Christians are considered polytheists. From their perspective, they have an Islamic duty to wage war on polytheists and drive them out of Muslim lands. Terrorist groups such as ISIS draw a lot of their inspiration from Wahabbi ideology. The theological basis at least in part for their conviction is a scriptural passage from the Quran (At-Taubah 9:31) that reads- “They have taken their rabbis and their monks (as) Lords besides Allah and the Messiah, son (of) Maryam. And not they were commanded except that they worship One God. (There) is no god except Him. Glory be to Him from what they associate (with Him).” While the roots of this violence start back with the teachings of Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab, that is not the whole story. He eventually formed an alliance with Muhammad Ibn Saud (a desert chieftain of the Najd) who adopted his ideas. An alliance was soon formed between them. However, while Wahhab disdained the current Islamic practices he saw around him, he believed that the proper way to spread his version of Islam was through study, education and debate not spreading it by the sword. Ibn Saud on the other hand was happy to spread Wahhab’s teachings at the point of a sword if it could advance his political position.  Wahhab died in 1791. Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad bin Saud Al Saud, Ibn Saud’s son and successor, had no such inhibitions and under his rule the idea of Takfir was greatly expanded. Those Arab Muslims who would not submit to Ibn Saud’s rule or Wahhabi Islam were judged to be apostates whose blood could be freely spilled and property confiscated. Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad bin Saud Al Saud basically ignored the rules of war originally laid down by the prophet himself on what constituted appropriate conduct towards non-combatants or the confiscation of property during wartime. In 1801 Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad bin Saud Al Saud led a Wahabi army of 12,000 on the military sacking of Karbala, Iraq. Over a period of eight hours, they completely ransacked the city’s wealth (requiring 4,000 camels to carry away the war booty), and slaughtered 5,000 inhabitants (men, women, and children). Osman Ibn Bishr Najdi, the historian of the first Saudi state, documented that massacre saying, “we took Karbala and slaughtered and took its people (as slaves), then praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and we do not apologize for that and say: ‘And to the unbelievers: the same treatment.’” It was this conquest that hardened the rift between Sunni and Shia Islam. Abd al-Aziz was assassinated in 1803. It was during the third House of Saud that the Wahabbi ideology went worldwide. With the discovery of oil, and billions of dollars flowing into its coffers in the mid-20th century, Saudi Arabia was able to finance its hard-line version of Islam worldwide with the building of mosques and madrassas. The funding of Saudi’s hard-line version of Islam became a matter of concern as hard-line Wahabbi Islamic religious material infested US Mosques. This was well documented by Freedom House. Unfortunately, the devil is in the details. The concern is over fatwas such as these that dehumanize our Christian brethren in addition to a well-known Wahabbi internet publication “The Ten Nullifiers of Islam” that at least imply that the recognition and granting of equal rights to Christians is tantamount to apostasy or infidelity. It is considered “cooperating in sin and transgression” for a Muslim Soldier to protect churches: http://www.alifta.com/Search/ResultDetails.aspx?languagename=en&lang=en&view=result&fatwaNum=&FatwaNumID=&ID=5445&searchScope=7&SearchScopeLevels1=&SearchScopeLevels2=&highLight=1&SearchType=exact&SearchMoesar=false&bookID=&LeftVal=0&RightVal=0&simple=&SearchCriteria=allwords&PagePath=&siteSection=1&searchkeyword=067104117114099104101115#firstKeyWordFound It is considered “impermissible” for the to the Philippine government building a complex at the airport in Manila building several houses of worship under one roof http://www.alifta.com/Search/ResultDetails.aspx?languagename=en&lang=en&view=result&fatwaNum=&FatwaNumID=&ID=11951&searchScope=7&SearchScopeLevels1=&SearchScopeLevels2=&highLight=1&SearchType=exact&SearchMoesar=false&bookID=&LeftVal=0&RightVal=0&simple=&SearchCriteria=allwords&PagePath=&siteSection=1&searchkeyword=083121110097103111103117101#firstKeyWordFound Thus, scholars have unanimously agreed upon the prohibition of building temples such as churches in Muslim countries. Likewise, it is not permissible that two religions are recognized as formal religions in the Muslim lands, and there must be no rituals or temples for non-Muslims such as churches or any other building. Scholars unanimously agreed on the obligation of destroying churches and other places of worship if they were built recently in the Muslim lands. It is not permissible to oppose the Muslim ruler in destroying them, but you must obey him. http://www.alifta.com/Search/ResultDetails.aspx?languagename=en&lang=en&view=result&fatwaNum=&FatwaNumID=&ID=10807&searchScope=7&SearchScopeLevels1=&SearchScopeLevels2=&highLight=1&SearchType=exact&SearchMoesar=false&bookID=&LeftVal=0&RightVal=0&simple=&SearchCriteria=allwords&PagePath=&siteSection=1&searchkeyword=066117105108100105110103032099104117114099104101115#firstKeyWordFound The message that comes out of this is that the rights of Non-Muslims such as Christians can be disregarded. Unfortunately, these fanatical and bigoted Wahabbi fatwas coming out of Saudi Arabia (especially by Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz)  are seen and treated as authoritative despite assertions by the authorities that they are simply one person's opinion. A popular argument by Saudi religious authorities is that would you accept a math teacher who taught that 2+2 = 5? The answer is no. But religion is not math. Mathematics is quantitative. Religion is not. It is philosophical and religious viewpoints about God cannot be measured in quantities the same way math can. Our human nature makes this challenging for us to accept but there are verses in the Koran that support the concept that religious diversity is simply a normal part of the human condition. Surah 49:12 (Al Hujurat) “O mankind, we created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female. And made you into Nations and Tribes that you may know each other (Not that ye may despise each other). Surah 3:84 (Al Imran): Say “We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us. And what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets. From their Lord, we make no distinction between one and another. Among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam). Surah 5: 48 (Al Maidah): To thee we sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety. So, judge between them by what Allah hath revealed. And follow not their vain desires, diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. To each among you, have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, he would have made you a single people, but (his plan is) to test you in what he hath given you; so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah: It is he that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute. In fact, the equal rights of individuals regardless of religious affiliation isn’t some new-fangled idea that came out of the 20th century, it was a necessary human right that was realized by the prophet himself drawn up in a social contract known as the Charter of Medina. The Charter of Medina provided a human rights instrument and a model for non-Muslims to practice as full and equal citizens in a Muslim State. It has been long overdue for Saudi Arabia to come to grips with it's Wahabbi distortions of Islam's tolerance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_Medina http://www.constitution.org/cons/medina/con_medina.htm https://freedomhouse.org/sites/default/files/inline_images/Saudi%20Publications%20on%20Hate%20Ideology%20Invade%20American%20Mosques.pdf http://www.newstatesman.com/world-affairs/2014/11/wahhabism-isis-how-saudi-arabia-exported-main-source-global-terrorism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahhabi_sack_of_Karbala http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alastair-crooke/isis-wahhabism-saudi-arabia_b_5717157.html Click to Post

TEFSIR ibn KATHIR: Surah Hujurat Ayah 4-8
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
4. Verily, those who call you from behind the dwellings, most of them have no sense.
5. And if they had patience till you could come out to them, it would have been better for them.
And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.
6. O ye who believe! if a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
7. And know that among you there is the Messenger of Allah.
If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble.
But Allah has endeared the faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, Fusuq and `Isyan hateful to you.
Such are they who are the rightly guided.
8. (This is) a grace from Allah and His favor. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
Admonishing Those Who call the Prophet from behind Dwellings
Allah says,
Verily, those who call you from behind the dwellings, Allah the Exalted and Most Blessed admonished those, such as the uncivilized Bedouins, who used to call to the Prophet from behind the dwellings which belong to his wives, most of them have no sense.
Allah the Exalted and Most Honored then ordains the better behavior in this regard,
And if they had patience till you could come out to them, it would have been better for them.
Investigating the Reliability of the News conveyed by Wicked People
Allah the Exalted says,
O ye who believe!
if a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
Allah the Exalted ordered investigating the news that sinners and the wicked bring, to make sure of its authenticity. Otherwise, if the sinner's word is taken for granted and a decision is based on it, regardless of whether the information is true or not, the authorities will be taking the lead of the sinners. Allah the Exalted and Most Honored forbade taking the path of the corrupted and sinners. This is why groups of the scholars of Hadith refuse to accept narrations from narrators whose reliability is unknown, for they might be from among the wicked people, in reality.
The Prophet's Decision is Better
Allah said,
And know that among you there is the Messenger of Allah.
`know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. Therefore, honor and respect him, be polite with him and obey his orders. For he is more knowledgeable about what benefits you and is more concerned with you than you yourselves are. His opinions in such matters are more complete than your own.'
Allah the Exalted and Most Blessed said in another Ayah,
The Prophet is closer to the believers than themselves, (33:6).
Then He clarifies that they fall short in overseeing their own benefit;
If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble.
`if he obeys all of your opinions and desires, you will earn trouble and hardship.'
Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said,
And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted!
Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder. (23:71)
Allah's statement,
But Allah has endeared the faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts,
`made faith dear to your souls and beautified it in your hearts.'
Allah said,
and has made disbelief, Fusuq and `Isyan hateful to you.
`He has made disbelief, sins, whether major or minor, and `Isyan -- all types of sins, hateful to you.'
This statement transfers us from one level to a better level, to perfect Allah's bounty.
Allah's statement next, Such are they who are the rightly guided.
those who have these qualities are the rightly guided ones whom Allah has granted guidance and correctness.
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Rifa`ah Az-Zuraqi said that his father said,
"During the battle of Uhud, when the idolators retreated, the Messenger of Allah said,
Stay in straight lines so that I praise my Lord, the Exalted and Most Honored.
They stood behind him in lines and he said,
O Allah! Your is the praise.
O Allah! There is none who can withhold what You send, or send what You withhold, or guide whom You send astray, or misguide whomever You guide, or give what You deprive, or deprive whom You give, or draw closer whom You cast or cast whom You draw closer.
O Allah! Bestow on us from Your blessings, mercy, grace and provisions.
O Allah! I ask You for the eternal delight that never ends or fades away.
O Allah! I ask You for provisions on the Day of deprivation and safety on the Day of fear.
O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the evil repercussions of what You have given us and from the evil of what You have deprived us of.
O Allah! Make faith dear to us and beatify it in our hearts and make disbelief, Fusuq and `Isyan hateful to us, and make us among the rightly guided.
O Allah! Allow us to die as Muslims, live as Muslims and join us with the ranks of the righteous ones, without tasting humiliation or turmoil.
O Allah! Fight the disbelievers who deny Your Messengers and hinder others from Your path; send on them Your torment and punishment.
O Allah! Fight the disbelievers who were given the Scriptures, the True God.''
An-Nasa'i collected this Hadith in `Amal Al-Yawm wal-Laylah.
Allah said,
(This is) a grace from Allah and His favor.
meaning, this favor that He has bestowed on you is a favor and a bounty from Him to you,
And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
All-Knower in those who deserve guidance and those who deserve misguidance, All-Wise in His statements, actions, legislation and the destiny He appoints.

Allah the Exalted notifies the servants of His infinite power, which He demonstrated by creating what is bigger than that which they wondered about and whose possibility they discount,
(Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it,) with lamps;
