Cynthia is, in short, exhausted. It's been a tough day: classes, cooking duty, more classes, then some training. It takes a lot of work to be this strong, she tells herself. Still, she's looking forward to some dinner, and maybe she'll go to bed early. Idly, she wonders if she should seek out company before going to sleep.

She stretches as she walks, letting out a big yawn. Boy, maybe she should skip dinner and head straight for bed. A girl walks past her, and Cynthia doesn't pay her much mind. There's something about that dark blue that feels familiar.

Cynthia turns around. No way. It can't be, right? Lucina disappeared, right? It's not like Cynthia did a good job of keeping up with everyone after everything happened, but-

"Lucina?" Cynthia calls. Then, once she's certain, "Lucina!"

She gives the other woman no time to prepare before charging for her full speed. She can't decide whether she'll pick Lucina up, or let Lucina pick her up - she supposes she'll leave that choice up to Lucina.

my nonbinary ass personally doesnt like addressing the different gendered robins as seperate ppl (my attitude w all the FE my units in general outside of design preferences but since robin doesnt apply to that i genuinely see no discernable difference between frobin and mrobin) but while frobin's supports w chrom are kinda anime cringe (at least chrom also gets walked in on so. gender equality ig) it gets absolutely eclipsed by the absolute insane amount of angst by lucina being ur daughter later on in the story. like holy shit that scene where she tries to kill u to protect chrom but cant force herself to do it

askr chrom is way more fussy and prone to panicking because he hasn't gone through like seven or so months of "character development"—which basically consists of everyone from his pregnant wife to the man who may as well be his real dad for how much unconditional affection he's given him and his sister to like gaius and even tharja giving him pep talks about how he's going to be a great dad.

and then lucina's born and he turns out to be a great dad like everyone knew he was going to be and he doesn't accidentally crush her with his monstrous strength

because for regular chrom, that sort of increases the bar of how low he can truly go because his first thought upon seeing his daughter is "she's perfect" and his second thought is "i love her" and then once that wave of affection washes away, his thought is "i want to make the future a better place for her."

so like he's already more family oriented than his dad lmao. and like his wife points out, if he ever hurts lucina's feelings, then he can just apologize and listen like he does with her. he's allowed to meet his daughter without the tragedy of the future hanging over his head

and also because his wife's not going through a crisis in askr like she is in the regular timeline so his attention is just on the kids, that's also a reason why askr chrom is so panicked

like, askr chrom is just introduced to his baby girl with no prior introduction, unlike what regular chrom goes through. he's not even married, and that in and of itself is like a shock to his system. he hasn't even lost emm yet—he's just told his future wife about how terrible his father is and that kind of frames his actions because it's so fresh in his mind

and he doesn't ever want to let his kids down, but his kids have already suffered so much. and he doesn't get his pep talks in, except maybe with frederick and robin, because the kids are already so attached to him that no one offers him unsolicited advice on how to be a good dad because they already think he's a good dad

because of this, he's slightly more sensitive to perceived rejection, as opposed to it being robin in the other two timelines, because in the bad future one, she grew up knowing she was grima's heart and in the regular one, she found out who her father was and started having an inkling of what was going on

but in askr, robin is mostly chill, because chrom's not, so she has to be, but they do take turns. because chrom doesn't want to be his father, ever. he'd rather be the really fussy dad who cares about the little details aka freddy than be like his father

he's also specifically afraid of morgan rejecting him, because the boy already doesn't remember him, and fell morgan exists and allegedly hates his guts, despite chrom doing all he can to support him. morgan, of course, adores him, and eventually, he gets over that fear, but it sticks with him for a while

(regular chrom also kind of shares that fear, up until he interacts with morgan like five times and he's like, oh, i was worried for nothing)

feel like morgan/lucina is kinda underrated like i get why. but also like… duuude… take it from lucinas perspective: the kid of the fell god that betrayed your father turns against you despite years and years of friendship and most definitely knowing eachother since birth (do you honestly think chrom and robin wouldnt set their kids up on play dates immediately? really??) and despite how much you love them you know they’re beyond saving and you have to leave them behind to succumb to grima when you go back in time to save the world, accepting that youll never see them again! oh shit buts whats this… they show up in the past anyways? having forgotten all the time you spent together, the trouble they caused, everything you meant to them? but its them, its morgan and for the first time in years youre able to see them again happy, carefree, and in complete control! should you feel sad? scared? overjoyed? i dont know! but slap some yuri on that and you got a crazy ass little sideplot all im saying!!!

it was such a great end scene for lucy & celina in this episode because it truly shows how far they’ve come in their professional and personal relationship, and how they can not let one interfere with the other. respectful & receptive were the perfect words for them to use too!! 💙

i didn’t realize until reaching the child paralogues in fe awakening that project thabes adds BOTH morgans as playable units (renaming m!morgan to marc) which is super awesome BUT i married robin to chrom so now this poor gay ass lord and tactician have gone from zero to three children in a matter of days 😭😭

i'm doing my best to recall my shauni lore to figure out who your last post is about, but I got nothing lmao. I don't recall you ever having an issue with Lucina and F!Alear isn't years old on the M!Corrin banner, and none of the other banners have characters on them that I remember you being a particular fan of. mind elaborating for my nosy self?

asdfghjklm It's Lucina, yeah XD I haven't really talked about it because I made this blog during the Fates golden era and Awakening was no longer on my mind (besides Henry, of course), but back in the day I really did not like her.

I always found her kind of boring but, honestly, it's mostly because of one incident. For context, I had bought Awakening (after a friend recommended it to me) solely for Henry, and (very) lowkey speedran the game until Chapter 13, which is when you recruit him. I did not know about Chrom marrying your Avatar if you 1) were female, and 2) had stood next to him once or twice in combat. I grinded for hours, because I like to do that. I skipped the cutscene showing Chrom's wedding and Lucina's mother. Saved. Realized my Avatar and Chrom were married, thus locking me out of Henry's romance. Had to restart the entire freaking game. Enters Lucina's C-support with the female, non-mother Avatar where she accuses you, a married woman, of trying to steal away her dad, a married man. I know it was for comedy, obviously, but back then I thought it was in such poor taste. Girl, I restarted this whole game, lost hours of progress, exp, gold and supports because I did NOT want your dad-

She also, for some reason, had terrible stats growth during my first playthrough (and no, her mom wasn't the village girl, it was Sumia), to the point I ditched her entirely because she was too weak. And I genuinely believed she was intended to be like this until my friend showed me her Lucina (who was a killing machine).

Since then, it's my own inside joke that Lucina hates me XD

I'm over it now, obviously, but I got so many Lucinas pulling for Legendary!Mamui...

[ Ylisse ] - Though he is far from the first winged person she has come across ( and, she suspects, will not be the last ) Lucina has never had the pleasure of dancing with one. Likely in large part due to her general aversion to dancing as a whole, but she supposes this is just another thing add to ( and then immediately cross off of ) her bucket list.

"These steps," she muses as they move alongside one another, "are native to my homeland. Though I never much suited them..."

Which she proves in the awkward stiffness of her movements, undeterred by the lessons learned back in Ylisstol's old ballroom. Inigo had always tried to remind her that to dance is no different than to take up a sword, but never had she really figured out what that meant.

"You are quite the natural, however."

A touch flustered, she reaches to unearth a crystal from her pocket, offering it to him as they exchange hands yet again.

"It has been a pleasure to be your partner for the moment," lips curl into something of an awkward smile. "You may call me Lucina."

Among the special talents of the Heron Clan that its members are born with is the ability to naturally pick up new rhythms, melodies and dance steps. Though Rafiel has never before had a chance to hear a melody from the faraway land of Ylisse, it is not long before it begins to come to him on its own.

The company of a young lady from that very country is also helpful, he finds. Even if she does not realize it, her heart beats in perfect sync with the melody from her homeland all the same, singing to him of love and devotion. It is a tune he listens to attentively, taking it in.

"Ah, thank you," he responds to her compliment, smiling. "Us Herons, we do indeed have a natural affinity for music. We fall short in other areas, though, such as combat... So there may come a time where you will have the ability that I lack."

When it comes time for the gift exchange, he gratefully accepts the small crystal, and offers her the small bell he carries tonight.

"The pleasure is all mine. I am Rafiel. I will soon be helping out at the infirmary, so don't hesitate to drop by if you ever need me."
