An update on everything here. Yes Tymer did die. She had been battling ling cancer with a decent sized tumor on her lungs. On 3/24/20 she was carried in with a wagging tail to the clinic because she couldn't walk. Her Dr and I came to an agreement earlier that year that she would be straight up with me as if it was her own pet on when it would be time as I didn't feel confident I would ever be able to make that decision. So on the 24th she was humanely euthanized after eating chicken and yogurt all morning as her last meal.

Aussie 2020 was put on indefinite hold (thanks covid) though future breeder was super understanding and was told to just reach out when time was right.

On October 2019 my dad decided to buy a puppy (Dulce) from a litter ad on Craigslist (what could go wrong there). A few months after having her he decided he would be too busy for the next month to properly watch her so I looked after her and after four more months decided she was better off with me than him

Tymer (retriever x rottie x amstaff) would jump in freezing cold water to fetch anything. If she lost it in the water she would just swim in circles until she found something to bring back. She also was a hobby lizard hunter, and even managed to kill a squirrel at the age of eleven years while in a six foot leash.

Dulce ( amstaff x cattle dog) is quite nippy and tries to control movement dogs/people when playing. She's still a pup so I'll have to see if anything else pops up as she gets older

Those of you who have pet dogs, are there times when your dogs display characteristics that reflect the job their breed was developed for even though you dont work them?

Do your mixed breeds personalities resemble more closely one of their breeds or are they a blend?

I just wanna hear about all your dogs!

Someone's genetic tests came back. Tymer is 62% American Staffie, 12% Rottweiler, 12% Labrador retriever, and 12% breed group of terrier, hound, and guard dog. One parent was pure staffie and the other was the staffie mix

We did our first trial! We got DQ because I didn't know she couldn't have tags on her collar 😂. I have a whole video of our trial where I messed up multiple times. People were really nice and I think they like the fact that I immediately bombarded her with hugs and kisses when we finished, even though I did pretty shitty.

So they found a tumor in her left lung, and I just honestly feel so blindsided. We were only looking for heart murmur issues, but instead found a decent sized tumor. The doctor is very confident she has lung cancer and it took everything in me to not burst into tears right then and there. I definitely didn't want my new Co workers to see me become a mess. She said o could go to a cancer vet but didn't recommend as Tymer is 11 and chemo is costly. She said I should think more about keeping her comfortable, what I would even get out making her do chemo, etc.
