La 9ème séance ShortCuts a eu lieu le jeudi 29 janvier 2015 à Télécom ParisTech.

Au cours de cette séance, nous avons découvert le court-métrage Souffle court de Johann Dulat, primé - entre autres - cet été au festival Alpinale. La séance a été l'occasion de dialoguer avec le réalisateur qui était venu pour l'occasion.

"Antoine peut retourner dans le passé. Il utilise donc son pouvoir pour rencontrer de nombreuses filles, mais il ne trouve jamais la bonne. Jusqu'à un beau matin... Avec Souffle Court, j'avais envie de parler d'amour, au sens romantique, dans un monde où il n'y a que des relations à usage unique. Je voulais aussi faire un film "moderne", je voulais retrouver un impact que Godard avait réussi à susciter avec la Nouvelle Vague. Il se trouve qu'à cette époque, j'étais en train de rédiger un mémoire sur les grues cinématographiques, et j'ai donc eu envie d'utiliser cet outil pour mettre en valeur ma narration. Je me suis amusé avec une Supertechno 30...".
