Crazy busy over here!!! Sorry for missing last week and this week’s post being late. Last weekend we were at the wonderful wedding of two of our best friends. It was a beautiful ceremony and a really fun reception. It was kind of my last hurrah. My husband and I are thinking about starting a family. So this wedding I told everyone I was getting drunk. It was funny because most of my friends had never seen me drunk. I don’t drink that often and in 5 years my friends have never seen it. I danced a lot and forced my husband to dance as well. It was a good time had by all. The best is how perfect the newlyweds are for each other. I couldn’t stop smiling and was shocked when the Best Man’s speech made me tear up.
On Thursday I went to see Hanson again live!!! It was a free show and couldn’t pass it up. Especially because I got to catch up with my best friend who I haven’t seen since my wedding. The only thing that sucks about free shows is you get people there who might not even know who the band is. At this one there were a bunch of people like that who left after a few songs. A woman came in late, sat next to me and asked “when do the Blues Brothers come on?” I looked at her and said they don’t. She then got up and left. The worst though was the people who came with a friend who likes Hanson, but decided to make fun on the band the entire concert. I don’t understand why people can’t let people like the music they like. Every time I mention that Hanson is my favorite band people make fun on me. I don’t think there has been a single time yet that people don’t at least give me a funny look. They are a great band, but no one seems to be able to get past there “Boy band” history. Even though they never were a true boy band. They always played their own instruments and rarely dance. But nothing anyone says will stop me from enjoying their music. I was on my feet for the whole show, dancing along with every song.
Over Labor Day weekend I spent a day camping with my family. It turned into a buffet for the bugs. I have never seen a campsite that buggy. When I showed up I thought my nephews had chicken pox because their faces were covered in bug bites. We kept putting bug spray on almost every half hour and I still left with at least 10 bug bites. I’m not a fan of camping. I only go to spend time with my family, but this time I don’t think anyone was enjoying it.
I’m looking forward to this weekend. It is my husband and I’s 1st Anniversary. I can’t believe its been a year already.
Well until next week!
Jolene
