Cut low moisture mozzarella cheese into 3/4 inch cubes cubes. Store in refrigerator while preparing the meat. In a large mixing bowl combine: 1 pound ground beef 1 pound hot Italian sausage 1/2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper 1 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup parmesan cheese 2 eggs 1/2 cup whole milk 1/2 cup chopped parsley Roll golf ball sized balls with the meat mixture. Squish mozzarella cube into the center and pull the edges of the meat ball around it until it’s a new ball again. Arrange meatballs in slow cooker and cover in tomato sauce. Cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours.

I would think you could do it with anything "wet" - tomatoes, zucchini, leafy stuff like kale and spinach etc. (I like to brown sausage in a pan, then saute spinach in the leftover grease. I buy cubed butternut squash "steam in bag" - nuke that while I'm doing the sauteeing - then toss it all together :D Best w/super spicy sausages :D
Thanks! I'm gonna keep all this for when I go out for groceries later.

You can probably do that with most vegetables if you cut them up small :)

Summer squash and zucchini saute really well. Same with mushrooms Carrots, celery, onions, bell peppers, you can pan wilt like any kind of greens, and you can even steam vegetables in a pan if you have a tight fitting lid.
Sounds good! I need more quick fix recipes n' stuff so I figure the veggies would be a good place to start.
