Here's a first look at a redesigned Wandering Cryptids band woop woop! Included are the bois' face claims.

I'm just gonna come out and say it; I'm doing a soft reboot of the Wandering Cryptids series. I'm just not happy with how the story is going, and my influences/ideas have changed since I started this project three years ago. I've also been extremely slow at working on the damn comic, like I can't believe I've been doing it for two years, yet I only have four episodes done. (Episode four's not even finished lol)

So, since I'm adopting this attitude of "Fuck it, We Ball" for the new year, I'm gonna do what I really want and give the Cryptids a soft reboot. I'm gonna take some time to do some rewrites for the chapters, fix the timeline and write proper scripts for each episode. It's time I take this more seriously and plan things better than fly by the seat of my pants like I normally do.

Anyway, I'll work on a new lineup and story stuff soon, so for now I'll leave you with a revised playlist for the band:

I've changed Philip's design because I can't really look at his old design anymore because of stupid reasons, but I think the direction I'm going in is better. He's inspired by 90s Seth Green, specifically his role in the movie Ticks. I also did some werewolf experimentation but I think I prefer the look I gave them beforehand.

Cody and Jason have changed the least during this design update crusade lol

Sharing some older drawings of one of my music ocs; Jake Ruben.

Jake is a teenager who has a very successful career as a teen idol during the late 60s and throughout the 70s. He starts off as an actor and later gets into music, which leads to him making connections with The Wandering Cryptids and joining their "Circle of Fools" group.

He's one of my favorite music ocs because his story is about overcoming trauma, self love and growing as a human being. During the height of his career and later fall from grace, he struggles to see himself as a person because almost everyone around him uses him and push him into being whatever they want him to be. He feels like he can't be who he really is because he fears rejection, so he constantly masks and hides himself from others. As his story goes on, he slowly heals and learns to love himself and others, as a few people make positive impacts on his life.

There's more to talk about but my brain is foggy and his Toyhouse page is not updated right now, so this will have to do for now. Enjoyyy

Yaaaay I made designs for my Folk/Jazz Fusion band Buttercup Butterfly.

Buttercup Butterfly is an all-female band formed in the mid 60s, starting out as a Folk Rock band with just three girls; Joni Lee King, Margaret Hammett and Peggy Wyatt. The group traveled to California to chase their dreams, and ended up working at a Jazz club where they met Ruby Raize, Melanie Ottoman and Carol Cobra, all of whom were local players at the club. Together the girls formed their band, and struggled to get noticed until they were discovered by producer Nickolas Corpeshi, who helped them get their start in the music industry.

The girls' career is marred with a lot of personal growth and setbacks, some of which centers around Joni Lee and Margaret's tense romantic relationship. Their story mostly focuses on the band's relationship and their struggles in the industry as female musicians.

Buttercup Butterfly is actually my third oldest oc band I've created, being made shortly after Rattlesnake. I never really had solid designs for them though, which is why I haven't really shared them until now. I'm quite happy with how the lineup turned out.

Designs for the main characters from Hitchhikers From Hell. I'm planning on turning this into a graphic novel someday, but for now it's just another thing for me to draw.

To learn more about it, I'd recommend checking out HFH's Toyhouse page. The profiles are empty right now, but when they eventually get done I'll share them. Just know that Rick and Eduardo are crazy hitmen/serial killers, Steven Reinhardt is an obsessive detective, and Lita is his assistant who's just tired of everything.

Roy is laid back, cool and a daredevil, and she loves fast cars and hot dogs. She’s always getting into trouble, and a lot of times Dawn has to get her out of it.

I played God tonight and I loved it

Continuing my thoughts from this post, I feel like I've lost touch with my fantasy roots when it comes to Andromeda's Earth. For a long time now, I've defaulted to making my ocs into humans, and I haven't really bothered with any real world building stuff. I think the lack of variety is the reason why I've been bored with my ocs lately and choosing to do fanart stuff instead.

But yesterday, I spent all day rearranging my Pinterest boards, and for some reason that really inspired me into wanting to jump back into fantasy stuff.

So anyway, I took time today to do some experimentation with my version of humans. I'm definitely gonna make more doodles for this, but this is what I've come up with so far.

Iggy and Charlie are what I would call "standard homo-sapiens" who are like, the main human species on Adreama. I also added Neanderthal and halfling ideas, and while I really like the homo-sapiens, I feel like my concept for Neanderthals need a little work. But overall, I'm really happy with this and I wanna continue this train of thought before I dive into anything else. Expect more weird designs in the near future. :)
