DAY 15: follow forever + my thanks

So those who have been around for the last few years know I usually post this on the last day of cheercember as a thanks for those who participated and sent in requests as well as just to thank all the lovely mutuals for hanging around and for giving to the fandoms in the way that they do. As you can see it's only Day 15 and that just kind of explains my year skjfslkjf. For those who don't know I was promoted earlier this year and I now have a dual role at my job and slowly as the year went by in order to keep up with things as well as for other reasons that happen within my career I started working 85-90 hours every two weeks. December was no different and by the time I got home I had little energy left to be creative or to sit in front of my laptop. However, that being said I do still plan to finish the requests and even my list (yes I had a list). I will slowly push them out through Janurary.

Now that that's all out of the way, I do really want to thank everyone (followers included) for making this such a fun space as we all need a little escapism in our life. And I also always appreciate your support! I hope you all have a happy new year and that good things find you throughout the year. The last one I made was a while ago, so I had to try how to do this again 😅 And I like to connect those callenges with my tropes-collection - I always have enough stuff to work with without the need to collect new content 🙈

Most of the times I just try to be realistic with my coloring. Even when I try to be a little bit adventurous, I can't really do it and I come back to what I know. The sharpening makes quite a difference and often helps with slightly grayer/foggier videos. Most of the times the gifs look soooo much better just with the sharpening. And after that I play with everything I have in my repertoire…including Selective Color, Vibrance, Curves, and if the image is too dark I prefer to work with Exposure rather than Brightness/Contrast. With series like "Lita" or "Ghost Host, Ghost House", which have a strong yellow basic setting, I try, before the actual processing, to take out and weaken something of the yellow.

Well, the before are the lower sections without any editing and my after are the upper sections with sharpening and coloring.

Please, this fucking line sent me spiraling through the five stages of grief in .2 seconds.

Ray is selfish. He’s the center of his own world. He’s so singularly focused on himself, his own pain, his own shitty lot in life (perceived or real, whatever) that there’s zero chance of him understanding why “can we be friends?” is the worst fucking thing he could say to Sand in that moment.

Sand is fucking invested in him. Ray threw hands, called him a whore and Sand still showed up for him, pulled him from the car, took him to the hospital and said, “I know you’re hurt but you need to hear this” and shoved some truth at him.

Ray is infuriating in his self-pity. I want to grab him by the shoulders and shake him until he gets his head out of his ass, takes off his fucking Mew-colored glasses and realizes that Sand is the best thing in his life and – like his life – he seems intent on destroying it.

Why would Sand want to be friends? He’s head over ass in love with you, you’ve just thrown him over for your bestie (who is continually a dick to you and clearly using you) and you think he wants to be friends?

I’m going to need Ray to get a fucking clue.
