So apparently they're going to add a speed bump to my street, which I'm actually totally on board with. They're putting in a lot of "traffic calming measures" around the city that are mostly just causing a lot of problems, but I live on a residential side street with no real traffic, and people come flying down at 50mph all the time. There's always pedestrians crossing at the end of the street and it's a bit of a blind corner, so a car flying around there is especially dangerous.

THAT SAID they're also taking out multiple parking spots to do so (we have angled street parking) and parking is already a fucking nightmare around here. So. Less pleased about that aspect.
