i also wrote this one in bed (i've written a lot of these in bed...)!! and it was after much mental simpery over wen junhui and the pics from his new drama that i gave into the idea of general!jun (i've also been dying to write something historically adjacent).

longest fic: incantations ☆ ji changmin

i remember conjuring about four ideas for the dbn halloween event before ultimately settling on yet another demon au TT like there was a cultish monster hunter au, a fallen angel reincarnation au, and a zombie apocalypse au... i honestly didn't know if i would make it or not lol and i had @justalildumpling proofing while i wrote the ending haha i can't say if i'm completely satisfied with it, but i can say that i think my world building and plot building skills have def improved, and you can see it in that fic

most popular fic: leave the window open ☆ choi san

tbh i thought this fic was gonna be a flop at first bc it wasn't until maybe a day after i posted it that it started to get traction? i also had the idea for it haunting my brain for MONTHS and i was so glad to finally get it out into words haha suffice to say, i am still so surprised by how well it did, but pleasantly so!

personal pick: creature ☆ ji changmin

i could talk about this fic, this series, this CHARACTER for DAYS. at this point, nt!changmin is a completely different entity to the changmin you think you know LOL creature is my self-indulgent character study of a demonic being who loves a person so much that he doesn't know what to do with himself

pretty self-explanatory — i honestly have no idea how i wrote over 300k last year, but i'm still pretty happy with how much i was able to write this year! i took a lot more breaks, and more time to write, and this def doesn't encompass just how many words i've written that are still in drafting stages and not published :')

to my friends, mutuals, and readers, thank you so much for being by my side this year! it's been brutal out here, not gonna lie, and i wish i had been able to post and write more this year. alas, life happens. i also find that writing longer fics that are more fleshed out just satisfy my creative needs a lot better—meaning that i will likely not produce as many fics, quantity-wise, as i used to.

on that note, i hope to at least give you some idea of what you can look forward to in the new year! i have several ideas for my superhero collab, including (but not limited to): mutant angel!jeonghan, scarlet witch!minghao, and venom!changmin. i'm also actively plotting out ventures with our sebongs, particularly a dokyeom knight fic and a fake dating dino fic! as for my current ongoing wips, i am hoping to get more finished for terra nova (high sci-fi/fantasy ateez fic), birds of prey (mafia hongjoong), and other secret projects 😌

I did not stop thinking about this fic for WEEKS especially the line “I am lonely but not when you’re here” it’s just so Chanhee coded!

Tbh this fic is just so pure 🥺 the way chani gets jealous of Juyo (I love jealous men and I kid you not I am a possessive chani believer) made me want to bang my head against the wall SHSHSHSHSHS

You guys don’t know how much I love this series 😔. I have never watched any musicals (NOT MY FAULT NOTHING LIKE THAT IS IN MUMBAI OKAY??) but I genuinely saw this one clip (it was in the first chapter of this fic) of the chandelier falling and oh my the way I was like “I NEED TO WATCH THIS MUSICAL!?” But not only do I love this fic because it’s Chanhee but also because ik how much this means to Als 🥺🫶🏻.

Because we all know Chanhee is not a sporty type of person so him trying to win this just made me want to bash my head against the wall 😭🤧. I was literally balling my eyes out because no way in hell would I treat my best friend (why be a best friend when you can be my best boyfriend tho?) Chanhee the way the reader did 🙄. Like?? But I love how Chanhee still showed up to her wedding (wanna make it our wedding instead?) despite everything the reader said to him 😭.

duckie!! hi i miss you so much 🥺 i’ve been really stressed lately due to midterms and this past week was definitely rough with the news so i’m sending hugs and love back to you <3

i have three midterms coming up just in this week. there’s a lot of stuff i have to do for school so i haven’t been able to do many other things which kind of sucks but we’re getting through this quarter 😭

i did get accepted into an internship i’ve been wanting for so long and i’ll be interning for a lab this summer! i’ll be doing pretty much the same thing i do at the aquarium but here on campus and i’m excited!! i just have to get through this quarter.

i’m also….such a simp i’m so disappointed in myself LOL. but there was this guy in my biochem class last quarter who was also in my physics class the quarter before and he’s omg i swear he’s so cute and he seems really smart and sweet. i always sat in the same row as him during lectures but i never said anything besides ‘oh sorry :)’ before moving my backpack so he and his friend could get to their seats but omg i swear he seems so sweet and i never talked to him but i saw him last thursday and i swear i’ve only been thinking about him since i’m going to scream. i keep coming up with scenarios trying to convince myself to talk to him but like there’s no convenient situations bc i saw him when he was walking the other direction and i was walking with a friend 😭 i’m too nervous to just up and ask for his number bc i don’t want to seem creepy or anything but omg i swear i’m literally hhhhhh 🙃 anyway, how are you?

hi duckie! omg it's been a pretty exciting first week, i already have a lot of crazy stories to tell lol. i've been alright with my classes so far but i'm nervous about what's to come, haha. i know i do need to prioritize my work.

my classes are sorta fucking far from my dorms unfortunately. might think of skateboarding around campus....

also, i definitely met a lot of people and formed a friend group already—it's insane. we go on boba runs, play video games, all tata fun stuff. ngl i come home so late LOL like today i was learning a dance from my school's hip-hop dance club because their auditions are wednesday. then later we cooked in my friend's communal dorm kitchen. i lwk hate my dorms (love my roommates, just hate the location and how boring it is there.

i miss my bf a lot. sometimes i feel bad when i don't get back to him because i've been out for the day and doing crazy stuff. i wanna hug him sometimes. more like all the time. i feel a lot more disciplined having an LDR like i would evenetually be flirting my ass off if i didn't have a bf ngl.
