You weren’t even thinking about Suna when you walked into the gym that afternoon. Honestly, you’d almost forgotten about the way you’d left him hanging at that party—well, not forgotten. The memory of his wrecked expression, the way his body had trembled under your touch, was still seared into your mind. But you’d moved on.
Suna, on the other hand…
You spotted him immediately. He was leaning against the squat rack, water bottle in hand, wearing a loose tank top and shorts that did absolutely nothing to hide the way his body was strung tight with tension.
And he was staring right at you.
You felt it the moment his eyes locked on you—like a physical pull, drawing you in. But you didn’t give him the satisfaction of acknowledging it. Not yet.
Instead, you ignored him, walking past without so much as a glance, heading straight toward the treadmill.
But you could feel him watching you.
The weight of his gaze followed you as you stretched, adjusted your ponytail, and climbed onto the machine. You kept your pace slow, giving yourself time to settle in, but your mind was already miles ahead.
How long can he last this time?
Five minutes.
That’s all it took.
You heard the shuffle of footsteps behind you, followed by the distinct sound of a water bottle being set down a little too hard on the machine next to you.
“Y/n.”
His voice was low, controlled—too controlled.
You didn’t look over, but you felt the corner of your mouth twitch. Oh, he’s still trying? Cute.
“Rintarou.” Your tone was cool, casual, like you hadn’t worked him up and abandoned him last weekend.
“Been avoiding me?”
That made you glance over—just for a second.
Suna was leaning against the handlebars of the treadmill, arms flexed just enough to make it clear how tense he was. His jaw was clenched, his lips pressed into a thin line, but his eyes…
His eyes were pleading.
“Why would I do that?” You arched a brow, your tone light, playful. “I didn’t realize I was supposed to be keeping tabs on you.”
“Y/n…” His voice was quieter this time, strained.
Ah.
There it was.
You slowed the treadmill, stepping off and grabbing your water bottle before turning to face him fully.
“Something wrong, Rintarou?” You kept your tone innocent, but the way you crossed your arms, tilting your head just enough to make him feel small—that wasn’t innocent at all.
Suna’s jaw worked as he tried to find the words, his eyes flickering down to the floor for a split second before meeting yours again.
“I…” He swallowed hard, and fuck—his throat was dry.
You stepped closer, just enough to invade his space, your body brushing lightly against his.
“Use your words, baby.” Your voice was barely above a whisper, but it was enough to make his breath hitch.
“I can’t…” His voice cracked, and his head dipped down, his forehead almost brushing against yours.
“Can’t what?”
“Can’t stop thinking about it.” His confession was so quiet, so raw, that it sent a shiver down your spine.
“Thinking about what, Rintarou?” You knew exactly what he meant, but you weren’t going to make this easy for him.
Suna’s eyes lifted, and the desperation in them was impossible to miss now.
“You,” he murmured, voice barely above a whisper. “That night. The way you…” His breath caught, and his jaw clenched again, but this time, he didn’t look away. “I can’t get it out of my head.”
A wicked smile tugged at your lips, and you leaned in just enough for your breath to ghost over his lips.
“Aw.” Your voice was soft, but the satisfaction dripping from it was impossible to miss. “Poor baby.”
Suna’s hands flexed at his sides, like he was fighting the urge to grab you—like he was begging for permission to touch you.
“Please.”
The word was barely a whisper, but it was enough to make your pulse spike.
“Please what, Rintarou?” Your lips brushed against his, so close but not giving him anything. “Tell me what you want.”
Suna’s eyes fluttered shut, his breathing uneven, and when he spoke again…
“Please,” he murmured, his voice thick with need. “Let me be good for you.”
Fuck.
You had him. Again.
And this time, you weren’t going to let him off so easy.
You tilted your head, letting his words hang in the air for a moment, savoring the way his body was practically vibrating with anticipation. His jaw was clenched so tight it looked painful, and his hands were fisted at his sides, like he was physically holding himself back from reaching for you.
“Hmm.” You dragged a single finger down his chest, tracing the defined lines through his tank top, and felt the way his muscles tensed under your touch. “You want to be good for me, huh?”
“Yes.” His voice was hoarse, strained, like he was barely holding it together. “Please.”
“Please what?” Your nails scratched lightly over his abs, just enough to make him suck in a sharp breath. “I don’t know what you’re asking for, baby.”
Suna’s eyes fluttered shut for a second, his lips parted as he fought to steady his breathing. When he opened them again, there was nothing left of that cocky, unaffected façade he always wore.
Just raw, unfiltered need.
“I can’t…” His voice cracked, and he swallowed hard, trying to keep it together. “I can’t stop thinking about it.”
“About what?” Your lips brushed against his jaw, and the shiver that ran through his body made your core ache.
“About…” His breath caught as you dragged your nails down his stomach, lower, until they teased just above the waistband of his shorts. “About the way you…”
“Made you fall apart?” you murmured, lips grazing his ear, and the soft, broken noise that slipped past his lips sent a thrill down your spine.
“Yeah.” His voice was barely a whisper now, and his hips pressed forward, chasing your touch. “Please.”
“Aw.” You pulled back just enough to meet his eyes, your smile wicked as you watched him crumble for you. “Look at you.” You dragged your fingers up his chest again, watching the way his body shuddered under your touch. “You’re already falling apart, and I haven’t even touched you properly.”
Suna’s breath hitched, and his eyes fluttered shut again—like he was trying to ground himself. But it wasn’t working.
“Rintarou,” you murmured, your lips brushing over his, so close but not giving him anything. “What happened to all that control you’re so proud of?”
“I…” His voice was barely there now, and his body was trembling, his restraint hanging by a thread.
“Gone already?” You cupped his jaw, tilting his face up so he had no choice but to meet your gaze. “Poor thing.”
“Y/n…” His eyes were glassy, lips slightly swollen from how hard he’d been biting them, and his breathing was ragged—completely at your mercy.
“Shh.” You dragged your thumb over his bottom lip, watching as his mouth parted for you instinctively. “I’m not done playing with you yet.”
Suna’s body practically sagged against you, his forehead almost brushing against yours as he exhaled a shaky breath.
“Please.” The word was barely a whisper, but the way he said it—like he was ready to drop to his knees for you right there in the gym—sent a pulse of heat straight to your core.
“Alright, baby.” You dragged your nails lightly down his chest again, feeling the way his body shuddered under your touch. “But not here.”
His eyes snapped open, and you saw the flicker of confusion mixed with frustration—like he was barely holding on.
“W-Where?” His voice was breathless, shaky.
“Come with me.” Your smile was sweet, but the glint in your eyes was anything but. “And be a good boy.”
You didn’t give him a chance to respond. You grabbed his hand, lacing your fingers through his, and led him out of the gym without a word.
Suna followed without hesitation, his body tense, practically vibrating with anticipation.
You didn’t go far.
The locker room was empty—mid-afternoon on a weekday meant most people were either in class or already gone.
Perfect.
You pushed open the door and pulled him inside, backing him up against the nearest row of lockers before he could even process what was happening.
“Y/n—”
“Shh.” You placed a finger over his lips, silencing him.
Suna’s breath was ragged, his pupils blown wide as he stared down at you, waiting—begging—for whatever you were about to do to him.
“You’ve been such a mess since that night, haven’t you?” Your voice was a whisper, but it echoed in the empty space, filling the air between you.
Suna swallowed hard, his jaw clenched as he fought to keep his composure—but you could see how badly he was losing that battle.
“Can’t sleep,” you murmured, dragging your nails down his chest again. “Can’t focus.”
His breath hitched.
“Been thinking about me every time you touch yourself, haven’t you?”
Suna’s body jerked at that, his head falling back against the lockers with a soft thud as a strangled noise slipped past his lips.
“Fuck.”
You leaned in, your lips brushing against his ear as your fingers dipped just below the waistband of his shorts, teasing but not giving him what he wanted.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Your voice was pure sin, dripping with satisfaction. “Thought you could handle me.”
“I can’t…” His voice was barely there now, strained and shaky, and his hips pressed forward, chasing your touch. “Please.”
“Please what?”
“Touch me.” His head tilted forward again, his forehead almost brushing against yours. “I—” His breath was ragged, desperate. “I need you.”
You smiled, dragging your nails lightly down his stomach again, just barely grazing over where he was already painfully hard.
“Hmm.” You tilted your head, pretending to think about it. “I don’t know, Rintarou.” You met his gaze, your lips curling into a wicked smile. “Do you deserve it?”
“Please.” His voice cracked, and for the first time, you saw something in his eyes that made your heart skip a beat—complete surrender.
“Good boy.”
And just like that, you had him.
The moment the words left your lips, Suna’s body melted into your touch, his head dipping forward until his forehead was almost brushing against yours. His breathing was ragged, uneven, and you could feel the way his body trembled under your hands—completely at your mercy.
But you weren’t going to make this easy for him.
Not yet.
“Hmm.” You dragged your nails lightly down his chest, feeling the way his muscles tensed with anticipation. “I guess I could give you a little something…”
“Please.” His voice was barely above a whisper, and the way his hands twitched at his sides—like he was dying to touch you but knew better—made your core ache.
“Such good manners.” Your lips brushed over his jaw, your breath ghosting over his skin as you trailed soft kisses down his neck. “Maybe you do deserve a reward…”
Suna’s breath hitched when your hand finally slipped beneath the waistband of his shorts, fingers wrapping around him with just enough pressure to make his knees buckle.
“F-Fuck.” His head fell back against the lockers with a soft thud, and his lips parted as a strangled moan slipped past them.
“Aw, look at you,” you murmured, your voice dripping with satisfaction as you stroked him slowly, deliberately, just enough to make him ache. “So desperate already.”
“Y/n…” His voice was barely there now, and the way his hips bucked into your hand made it painfully obvious just how close he was to losing control.
“Shh.” You tilted your head, pressing your lips against the shell of his ear. “I’m in charge, remember?”
Suna’s whole body shuddered, and the broken moan that escaped his lips sent a pulse of heat straight to your core.
“Y-Yes.” His voice was strained, and you felt his hips jerk again, chasing your touch even as he tried so hard to hold back.
“Good boy.” You tightened your grip just a little, dragging your thumb over the head of his cock, and the whimper that spilled from his lips was downright sinful.
“F-Fuck,” he breathed, his head tilting forward again, his forehead almost brushing against yours as he struggled to keep himself together.
“You’ve been thinking about this all week, haven’t you?” You kept your strokes slow, teasing, just enough to make him ache.
“Y-Yeah.” His voice was barely above a whisper, and his breathing was so uneven now, you could feel how close he was.
“Been touching yourself to the memory of me?” Your tone was sweet, but the wicked smile tugging at your lips said otherwise.
“Y-Yeah.” His head dipped lower, and the soft, broken noise that slipped past his lips made you ache for him.
“Poor thing.” You dragged your lips down his neck, nipping at the sensitive skin just enough to make him shiver. “Bet it wasn’t enough, was it?”
“N-No.”
“Bet you still felt empty afterward.”
Suna’s whole body trembled, and the whimper that spilled from his lips was so soft, so wrecked, that it made your core throb with need.
“Y/n…” His voice was broken now, barely above a whisper.
You tightened your grip again, your strokes picking up just enough to have him teetering on the edge.
“You close, baby?”
“Y-Yeah.” His hips bucked into your hand, and his breathing was so uneven now, you knew he was seconds away from falling apart.
“Gonna be a good boy and come for me?”
“Please.” His voice cracked, and his eyes fluttered shut as his body tensed, his muscles coiling as he chased that release.
“Hmm.” You pressed your lips against his jaw, your hand still working him expertly.
And then—
You let go.
Just like that.
You stepped back, pulling your hand away completely, and the choked noise that tore from Suna’s throat was downright devastating.
“W-What—” His eyes snapped open, wide and glassy with desperation as he stared at you, his body still trembling, so fucking close he could taste it.
“Aw.” You pouted, tilting your head as you watched him fall apart in front of you. “What’s wrong, baby?”
“Y/n…” His voice was a wrecked, broken whisper, and his hips jerked forward instinctively, chasing a touch that was no longer there.
“Did you think I was gonna let you finish?” Your smile was downright wicked now, and the way Suna’s eyes pleaded with you made your core ache.
“P-Please…” His body was shaking, his muscles tense as he fought the urge to touch himself—because he knew better.
“You didn’t think I’d make it that easy, did you?” You leaned in, brushing your lips over his ear again, and the shiver that ran through his body was impossible to miss.
“Y/n…” His voice cracked, and you could feel how close he still was, teetering on the edge but unable to fall.
“Not yet, baby.” You pressed a kiss against the corner of his mouth, your tone soft but firm. “Be patient.”
And then—
You stepped back.
Suna’s eyes flew open, wide with disbelief, his lips parted as he struggled to catch his breath.
“W-Where…” His voice was barely there, broken and desperate. “Where are you going?”
You smiled sweetly, grabbing your water bottle and slinging your bag over your shoulder like nothing had happened.
“Class.” You winked, turning toward the door, but not before throwing one last look over your shoulder. “Be good for me, Rintarou.”
And then you left.
Leaving him there—desperate, wrecked, and aching for you.

part five: rin became rintaro; then it became suna
Tumblr media
"oh baby... nobody said that it was going to be easy." mei cooed, her voice softer than usual. she repeatedly kissed the top of your head as you cried into her lap.
"i k-know but.." you spoke through your sobs, snot along your sleeves. "i-i really hoped t-that he would ch-change.."
it's been just over two months since you've started changing your behaviour around rin, but he didn't seem to react to it—no, he may have changed, but only a bit. it wasn't enough.
you knew that this was unavoidable, and that it had to be done. the longer it takes for you to get this over with, the longer it will take for you to get over it.
so when mei sent you home that night, she reassured you that it will all be worth it in the end, and that you will find someone better.
but the fact that he was waiting for you at the same table that you used to wait at, every single night, didn't help at all.
"where were you?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
you stood there for a second with your shoes still on, and folded over with laughter.
his heart flutters. whens the last time you laughed in front of him?
"sorry," you sniffled through the laughter, the aftermath from crying earlier doing you no justice. "it's just that i used to sit in that same chair, waiting for you to come home, you know?"
hesitating for a moment, he decided on getting up and walking over to you, although he didn't know what to do.
"y/n." he's looking down at you now, resisting the urge to reach out and take hold of your hands.
"rintarou."
now that caught both of you off guard.
it slipped out without a second thought on your end, and you were visibly shocked.
as was suna, except he was more afraid than anything else. he knew what this meant—he was no longer rin to you, but rintarou.
he should be grateful though, because he knew what eventually might come next. he knew that it wouldn't be rintarou for long, and that as soon as it changes, it would be over; everything would be over.
"were you crying?" he whispers, reaching out to wipe at your tear stained cheeks. except you wouldn't let him, grabbing his wrist in time. God—mei would be so proud; as would that kind lady from the cafe.
"why should you care?" you spat, letting go of his wrist to remove your shoes.
"because im your boyfriend." he said, although you didn't miss the quiver in his voice from that last word, as if he wasn't so sure anymore.
you move past him and head straight for the bathroom; but suna didn't miss it. he heard what you mumbled on your way out—and it had him slumped against the wall (when you were out of sight, that is)
his fists are clenched and his heart is beating a little too fast, but he can't get his mind off of what you said.
"yea, well not for long"
five words, and yet they seemed to foreshadow his future.
-
there were two possible reasons that you could be waking him up at 10 in the morning.
you were either waking him up to tell him that it was over, and that you were leaving, or that it was over, and that he had to leave.
turns out there was a third reason.
"do you have practice today?" you asked, your voice a whisper.
"yeah.. why?" he got up into a sitting position, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. its been a while since you last entered this room, moving all your things to the guest room.
"oh. nevermind." you make a gesture to leave but he panics and grabs your arm. this could be an opportunity, and he wasn't about to lose it.
"i could um.. take the day off." he nods his head.
"are you sure?" when he nods his head yet again, your features soften.
"okay, well get dressed. i feel like going to a theme park."
you leave the room before he has a chance to answer, but he complies anyways.
his mind wanders to the picture that he broke in the heat of the moment awhile back—the one where you were both smiling at an amusement park, kids laughing in the bakground.
-
"let's go on that one!" you exclaim, pointing at the rollercoaster.
a soft grin takes over your face—and while it may not be your typical energetic one, at least it was still there.
now, suna wasn't a big fan of rollercoasters. he prefered to have you go on them, while he took the photos, but today's been the first time in a while that he's actually seen you happy, and he wanted to keep it that way.
you've been here all day, and it was already pretty dark, so they might be closing soon anyways.
when the cart had finally come back around, you and rin got on, with a guy slipping in on your side.
"you guys here together?" he asked, looking over you to make eye contact with suna.
you nodded, and he chuckled.
"im here with my girlfriend, but she doesn't like roller coasters as much as i do."
now you and him are making small talk, and suna is resisting the urge to tell the guy to shut up, and to go back to his own girlfriend.
when the ride finally starts, he feels relieved, even slipping his hand into your own.
your hand tenses, and he looks up to find a look of guilt soaked into your features.
he quickly unravels his hand from yours, settling it into his lap and looking away. he got too carried away to remember that a day of rides and fun wasnt enough to fix his mistakes.
as the ride starts climbing upwards, fear pumps through his veins.
he shuts his eyes, dreading the fall.
when it finally came, he opened his eyes and hugged himself to keep from screaming.
he looks over to you, and his heart does that thing again—it flutters.
with your hands in the air, your screams adorning his ears, he fell in love. all over again.
the moonlight caressed your pretty features as your eyes shut in pure bliss, and suna found tears falling out of his own.
the tears fell but he didn't sob—not once. you didn't look his way either—not once.
instead he looked away, quickly wiping the tears before someone could catch him. he missed this; he missed you.
when you two got off the ride later, he wonders if you would ever go to another theme park with him.
-
when you decide to leave, suna finds an employee walking around the park with a polaroid camera.
he asks him to take a picture of you, and places it in his wallet. he can't break it this time.
suna misses the look of guilt that slips past your face, as if it were never there.
-
when the car pulls into the parking lot, and you both get out, suna realizes that you weren't walking beside him.
he panics and turns around, where he finds you smiling. tears in your eyes.
"thank you for today, suna."
he freezes. he can't move anymore. he can't think.
"don't be silly. let's go inside." he's walking again, but when he doesn't hear a second set of footsteps, the tears wash over him.
"why aren't you coming?" his voice cracks as the tears stream down his face.
"i'm going to mei's. it's-it's over." you smile, wiping continuously at your eyes.
"y/n please, we can talk about this." he's running over to you, taking hold of your shoulders as he bends down to make eye contact. "we're fixable, okay? i promise we are." he doesn't make move to wipe away the tears that are falling.
you wipe away his tears, pulling him into a hug. "i'm so sorry."
he wraps his arms around you and holds you tight, afraid of having you slip out of his grasp. "please, don't leave me. i'll do anything, just give me another chance. i need you."
you wriggle out of his arms, and his fists clench at his sides.
"i gave you chances. i gave you too many. i have to go."
you're running now, and he can't decide if he should run after you or not. has he not caused you enough pain?
instead, he falls to his knees and cries.
that was it. he lost you—he lost everything.
the polaroid picture was burning a hole through his wallet.
-
when he finally musters up the courage to check the guest room a few days later, he sees all your things packed up in boxes.
you had it all planned out, didn't you?
-
when mei comes later that day to pick up your things, she finds suna curled into a ball on the guest room floor.
"suna. wake up."
his eyes open slowly, and she finds them red, his eyebags puffy and cheeks tear-stained.
"is y/n gonna come back?" he asks, his voice nothing more than a whisper.
mei shakes her head, and suna cries again.
she looks away, thanking the heavens that she wasn't in a relationship. she couldn't help but pity him as she collected her best friend's things, suna's sobs as a sort of background noise.
she couldn't be surprised—the lost of your entire world was enough to make any grown man cry.
-
heartbreak isn’t easy, but suna’s heart hurts without you. where he sleeps, where he bathes, it all reeks of your touch.
you’re everywhere here, all memories playing back to him like a movie. he’s reminded of you, and recovering addicts don’t test themselves; they dont stay around said addiction to see if they can restrain themselves.
and so suna moves out, running from the place that you’ve drenched in your presence.
he leaves the polaroid picture on the table.

he’s stupid, coming here like this, but its 4 am, and he doesnt know who else he could go to.
he doesn’t know anyone else that might accept him into their room, and allow him to wallow in self-pity.
maybe it’s a bad idea, coming here. after everything you’ve been through, a few of those things being because of him, he’s sure that you don’t want to see him right now.
so he won’t be upset if you send him away, but he needs this right now.
he knocks at your window, once. he waits a few minutes before doing it again. he doesn’t hear anything moving inside, and assumes that maybe you aren’t home.
its getting cold, so he pushed up the window himself, and slowly crawls inside. your room is practically empty, something he noticed the last time he was over. the walls are soft shade of gray, but thats it. there’s a bed, a closet, and a bedside table.
and on the bed, you’re there, sleeping.
he moves closer, and examines your face for a second. there’s a scar under your chin, one he hadn’t gotten close enough to notice earlier.
you stir in your sleep, turning to face to face him, before your eyes flutter open.
your eyes light up like you’re about to scream, and he rushed to cover your mouth— “it’s me, rin,”
you pry his hand from your mouth, reaching over to turn on your bedside lamp, your face settling in relief.
but then you take a closer look, and your face drops.
“rin? what happened to your face?” you reach out with one hand to cup his face, your head tilted and eyebrows furrowed in worry.
it was rather embarrassing for him, but he thinks he prefers this over having you telling him to leave and get over it.
theres fresh, silent tears streaming down his face, and he’s got a pink turning purple bruise on his cheekbone.
his lips pouted in an attempt to not make any noise. “who did this to you, love?”
your voice is soothing, as he closes his eyes and nuzzles his face into your palm. “i dont wanna talk about it.”
but his voice breaks into the middle of the sentence.
your move further into the bed, lifting the sheets as an offer to let him in. he climbs in slowly, and you pull him closer to cuddle him, his face nuzzled under your chin.
he turns onto his side and wraps his arms around your waist, and sobs.
his body jolts with every cry, and for a second you worry that someone might hear, but you dont care.
they never seemed to hear you when you were crying, begging for help.
he must’ve been through hell to have come all the way over here, and wear his heart out on his sleeve for you. he was vulnerable and broken, and he trusted you with himself.
“im sorry, rin, im so sorry.” you rub circles against his back, whispering sweet soft encouragements in his ears, telling him he’ll get through this.
“people are dicks, rin. they don’t care about how you feel, and they never will. wether you’re crying or not, the world is gonna keep moving,” you pause, and even he stops crying to hear what you have to say.
he looks up at you, catches you looking off at one of your walls, before you smile down at him.
“set the world on fire before they do.”
(if not, they’ll watch you burn.)

—  this chapter is written in the narrators pov, because it displays both y/n and suna’s feelings (that is why there aren’t any strikethroughs for y/n’s thought process—we aren’t in her head)
—  suna basically broke in y/n’s room, crying
—  where’s that bruise from?

with the flowers (3)
part three: all the good stuff
pairing: suna x f!reader
summary: if a teacher had been the one to catch suna dangling on the edge of inarizaki’s roof, he definitely would’ve been in trouble. except it wasn’t a teacher that caught him, it was you—the school whore. yea, he’s starting to wish it was a teacher.

suna pretends he cant hear her.
it works the first three times, but then theres an arm around his shoulder, and you’re pouting at him. “i know you heard me calling you, rinnie.”
“i told you not to call me that.” he deadpans, never once stopping to give you time to fall into step with him.
“actually, you told me not to call you onichan.” you wink, and he scoffs at you.
“what do you want?”
“you’re getting lunch, aren’t you?”
“no, im going to go dig my grave.”
your shoulder starting to ache because of your height differences, you settle on linking arms with him instead. “double suicide?”
he narrows his eyes at you, shaking his head. “what is wrong with you.”
“even i couldn’t answer that.” you shrug, your lips pulling into a smile when you catch him stifling a laugh. “anyways, since we’re getting lunch, can we stop at my locker? i need to grab my wallet.”
“whos we? i’m getting lunch; you’re simply harassing me and following me.” he tilts an eyebrow at you, but ultimately allows you to lead him down another hallway.
he can feel the eyes boring into his head, all the stares and dirty looks that bypassers were sending your way. he was simply caught in the crossfire.
he looks down at the shorter girl walking beside him, assuming that you were oblivious to all the eyes that were trained on you—but he could tell you weren’t from the way you obviously avoided eye contact with a majority of them, your eyes straight ahead
“don’t worry, pretty boy; it isn’t you they’re staring at.” you assure him, completely unbothered by it.
and he trusted you were, assuming that this was a daily occurence. before today, he was also one of the people that stared.
“you’re gonna love my locker,” you tell him, running ahead when you spot it. “it’s probably the best one in the entire school, all nice and pretty—”
you’re cut short when you notice that your lock was cut off, laying on the floor.
“nice, pretty, and—unprotected?” suna teases, tilting his head to mock you.
rolling your eyes, you tug open your locker.
suna expected a few things—maybe stickers, a penholder, a mirror (all the typical things), and probably bright lights or something, since apparently it was pretty—but what he didn’t expect, was a dozen packs of condoms falling out, unpackaged and used.
with all his effort put into keeping his face neutral, he looks at you.
for a few seconds there, you look like you’re about to cry. then you looked disgusted.
in the end, you shake your head, and disappear into the ladies room.
he assumes that you went to cry, but a minute passes and you’re back with a plastic bag and a bunch of tissues. “i hope you don’t mind waiting a little, rinnie. this’ll only take a sec.”
he’s silent at this, still in shock and processing.
while you use the tissues to push the condoms into the bag, he asks a question. “does this happen a lot?”
you let out an airy chuckle, shaking your head but never making eye contact with him. “used condoms in my locker? no, this is a first.”
“other things?”
you pause for a moment, recollecting your thoughts, before continuing. “i’ve gotten used pregnancy tests, sticky notes, death threats, all the good stuff.”
“oh.”
“and my wallet stollen.”
his head shoots up in your direction. “when?”
“just now.” you sigh, searching through your locker. “it’s fine, i only had a bit of money in there anyways. most of it’s at home.”
closing your locker and disposing the bag of used condoms, you spin on your heel and head in the opposite direction.
suna, however, is quick to grab the back of your shirt, halting you so fast that you almost trip. “jeez rinnie, we just met!”
suna scoffs and lets go of you. “where are you going?”
you arch your eyebrow at him as if it was obvious, “i’m going back to class, i don’t have money to buy lunch.”
rolling his eyes, he takes hold of your wrist and drags you along. “i’ll pay for you.”
“no—it’s okay. i don’t need charity.” you giggle, but he doesn’t stop.
“you’re obviously paying me back, stupid.”
you smile and let him pull you along.

— this in fact has not been the first time that y/n has gotten junk like this in her locker

part five: rin became rintaro; then it became suna
"because im your boyfriend." he said, although you didn't miss the quiver in his voice from that last word, as if he wasn't so sure anymore.
you move past him and head straight for the bathroom; but suna didn't miss it. he heard what you mumbled on your way out—and it had him slumped against the wall (when you were out of sight, that is)
his fists are clenched and his heart is beating a little too fast, but he can't get his mind off of what you said.
yea, well not for long
five words, and yet they seemed to foreshadow his future.
-
there were two possible reasons that you could be waking him up at 10 in the morning.
you were either waking him up to tell him that it was over, and that you were leaving, or that it was over, and that he had to leave.
turns out there was a third reason.
"okay, well get dressed. i feel like going to a theme park."
you leave the room before he has a chance to answer, but he complies anyways.
his mind wanders to the picture that he broke in the heat of the moment while back—the one where you were both smiling at an amusement park, kids laughing in the bakground.
-
"let's go on that one!" you exclaim, pointing at the rollercoaster.
a soft grin takes over your face—and while it may not be your typical energetic one, at least it was still there.
now, suna wasn't a big fan of rollercoasters. he prefered to have you go on them, while he took the photos, but today's been the first time in a while that he's actually seen you happy, and he wanted to keep it that way.
you've been here all day, and it was already pretty dark, so they might be closing soon anyways.
when the cart had finally come back around, you and rin got on, with a guy slipping in on your side.
"you guys here together?" he asked, looking over you to make eye contac with suna.
you nodded, and he chuckled.
"im here with my girlfriend, but she doesn't like roller coasters as much as i do."
now you and him are making small talk, and suna is resisting his urge to tell the guy to shut up, and to go back to his own girlfriend.
when the ride finally starts, he feels relieved, even slipping his hand into your own.
your hand tenses, and he looks up to find a look of guilt soaked into your features.
he quickly unravels his hand from yours, settling it into his lap and looking away. he got too carried away to remember that a day of rides and fun wasnt enough to fix his mistakes.
as the ride starts climbing upwards, fear pumps through his veins.
he shuts his eyes, dreading the fall.
when it finally came, he opened his eyes and hugged himself to keep from screaming.
he looks over to you, and his heart does that thing again—it flutters.
your hands in the air, screams adorning his ears, he fell in love. all over again.
the moonlight caressed your pretty features as your eyes shut in pure bliss, and suna found tears falling out of his own.
the tears fell but he didn't sob—not once. you didn't look his way either—not once.
he looked away, quickly wiping the tears before someone could catch him. he missed this; he missed you.
when you two got off the ride later, he wonders if you would ever go to another theme park with him.
-
when you decide to leave, suna finds an employee walking around the park with a polaroid camera.
he asks him takes a picture of you, and places it in his wallet. he can't break it this time.
suna doesn't catch the look of guilt that slips past your face, as if it were never there.
-
when the car pulls into parking lot, and you both get out, suna realizes that you weren't walking beside him.
he panics and turns around, where he finds you smiling. tears in your eyes.
"i'm going to mei's. it's-it's over." you sob, wiping continuously at your eyes.
"suna. wake up."
his eyes open slowly, and she finds them red, his eyebags puffy and cheeks tear stained.
-
suna moves out.
he leaves the polaroid picture on the table.
