Why are people so salty about the theory about Qrow being Ruby's father?
It's a speculation. Speculations are part of the fandom life. Aren't some fanfictions speculations? Get over it. No one is required to like or support the theory, but it shouldn't anger people this much.

My favourite RWBY Ships In No Particular Order
1. Renora because come on guys they are confirmed canon and they have been with us since the beginning and it’s hella cute.
Tumblr media
2. SunnyBees because I love bumblebee but I also really love BlackSun so I love the ship idea of all three of them being in a happy polyamorous relationship.
Tumblr media
3. Fairgame because it looks genuinely sweet and I love the idea that Qrow is slowly becoming a better person and knowing his place. Like how he stopped drinking and got embarrassed over that when talking about it. I see Qrow as bisexual and I’m totally happy about that, as should be the fandom. We need more bisexuality representation especially in males. And what better way to do that than in one of rwby main characters.
Tumblr media
4. SummerQrow - i know ts a dead ship and I know it’ll never be canon like ever but I read a really good fanfic about it and I love the headcanon fhat Qrow is Ruby’s father. I KNOW HE ISNT that’s why it’s a headcanon people.
Tumblr media
5. RoseGarden because I love my farm boi son being happy and i]ruby is so cute with him. And I love how it’s very fluffy, pure and innocent because tbh I don’t like reading smut personally. I just love the purity of this ship it’s so sweet. It makes me happy.

Since nobody bothered to say this out in the open, two things that really bothered me about the Summerqrow/Qrow’s dad crowd being upset that it wasn’t canon was:
1) “Summer is the rebound chick then and that’s bad”
Excuse you. I think cheating on someone who already had his heart broken is a bit worse than just being the rebound chick. And no, bitch, cheating does not make a character “multi-layered” and “deep”--it makes them the opposite: shallow.
And that aside, you’d think it was criminal for Taiyang to find a second love after his first fell through. Fuck that. I happen to believe being willing to look for love again and being willing to give love again after getting your heart smashed is a brave thing.
2) Half of them were using it to prop up their Yang/Ruby ship by saying it wasn’t incest since they weren’t blood siblings.
These people apparently forgot that Qrow and Raven are twins, and that’s still incest. Yang and Ruby would still have been cousins. I’m definitely glad those people got shut down.

In your opinion, what are the worst RWBY ships out there?
In terms of the obvious, any ship that involves creepycreepy interactions or would in some way be pedohilia or incest (Ozcarose, Rosewick, Cinderruby, Yang/Ruby, etc...) gets an automatic score of 0 and its shippers will automatically earn the brand of Terrible People.
But in terms of things that are not “automatic disqualification” I can think of a few--Bumbleby’s fandom has been infamously poorly-behaved and hilariously deluded about just how much or how little material there is to their ship and how very much I do not want it shoved in my face.
In terms of “this ship has nothing and its fandom keeps shoving in my face how much material and evidence they have, in the most obnoxious way possible” Qrow’s main straight ships--Qrowin and Summerqrow--are just bad. It’s on the same level as Miraxus from Fairy Tail--please, stop yelling at me about your ship and come back down to Earth.
In terms of “canon screwed me over on this ship” we have--no, not Tauradonna--Seamonkeys and Ladybug. There just hasn’t been the screentime and interaction that, after such good beginnings, would’ve been nice. It’s pretty disheartening to be a Seamonkeys fan these days.
