OK GUYS: it’s deep into July and I still don’t have a Summer Jamz Album. Requirements are: one album, any artist (or multiple, it can be a soundtrack or compilation or w/e), any year, any genre.
Only absolute rule is: no skips. You gotta be able to recommend EVERY SONG on the album.

Hey I know you are looking for original songs for your GOT fic but I just wanted to let you know, there is an album called "Gods of the Earth" by The Sword which is a GOT inspired power metal album. I know it isn't quite what you asked for but I did want to share it with you just in case!
OK first of all that's AWESOME, and I will be listening to it immediately. Second I may well use some of the lyrics from this but I was hoping for some specific subjects that a quick gander at this album it looks like they don't cover (nor would I expect them to!). Although it WOULD be amazing to have these fics be cross-tagged as "Game of Thrones (TV)" and "Gods of the Earth (music album)."
#posting this publicly because I've just listened to the first song and it's a banger folks#maybe this is my Summer Jamz Album?

I married her. I carried her
On the very same day I ferried her
'Cross the channel in the cold, dark water,
And in the evening how a chill had caught her,
And she looked so pale
In our lateen sails,
Like a long white veil

jasmine & papyrus
woooooo let's do this!!
jasmine ⇢ do you have a movie or book you loved but will never watch/read again?
movies are tough, because i can put anything on to fall asleep to it, but the book that instantly comes to mind is never let me go by kazuo ishiguro. that book is gorgeous and haunting, but so bleak in both what it answers and what it doesn't. the movie ties up a lot of loose ends that the book kept open ended on purpose, which makes it a rewatchable piece of art, but ultimately not as impactful. i don't think i'll ever read it again, but i did love it.
papyrus ⇢ if you put your ‘on repeat’ playlist on shuffle, what’s the first song that comes up? what do you like about it / associate it with?
the song that just popped up is anti socialite by the foxies! this song is bratty in a way that's fun, not looking to be put in its place, but simply a statement of all the things our protagonist is fed up with. the sound of this group is one that's so electric and fresh, and i'm so grateful that you put timothee chalamet onto the summer jamz list because i never would have found these kids otherwise!
fun and weird ask meme!

Happy summer folks!
This is my 2024 Summer Jamz playlist. Listen to it on random when driving. (Don’t let Spotify make suggestions, cause they’re terrible.)
Let me know what you love & hate. This has moody synth pop, some classics, & even a sad country tune. Send me your favorites! I always love hearing new music.
This is gonna be the best summer ever!
