I saw people in that poll saying that Suletta and Miorine didn't even share a hug, and weren't actually canon, and that we fell for queerbait.

I keep seeing people complain about Suletta and Mirorine winning the shipping bracket and claiming no one has heard of them... My coworker who hates anime literally saw me reblog them amd went 'isn't that those two lesbians from that space show all over facebook and twitter?' Like come on now, these two are not only actually in love, but very popular. You sre just mad that a lesbian couple won something.

I dunno the craziest thing about Sulemio beating Destiel is that there's so many tags of "I don't even know what franchise those girls are from, I've never heard of it before." Like Sure I can buy that they've never seen Witch From Mercury... but you've never heard of Gundam before? That's honestly on the level of saying "I've never heard of Doctor Who before." with as long as Gundam has been around and how prolific it is globally.

So here's the best thing about the Sulemio vs Destiel poll (other than Sulemio won) I've seen a lot of tags that have been like "I should watch the Gundam show" or "This poll convinced me to give Gundam a try" or "This poll made me watch Witch from Mercury and I loved it so much!" Like that's amazing and incredible to me. And despite everything I'm glad this poll spread the love of Gundam to some people.
