there is no fixed “mom” or “dad” figure in gaang because every member thinks the other person is the “parent”. Ask Aang, and Sokka’s the dad. Ask Sokka and Katara’s the little sister and mom and pain in the ass + Aang’s the grandpa and little brother. Ask Katara and Sokka’s the pain in the ass dad and older brother. Toph is big sister and little sister and grumpy aunt and possibly little brother They’re all taking care of each other in different ways and play different roles.

#gaang #katara is very caring but she also stole stuff planned a scam with toph destroyed a factory broke into prison and almost killed a man #sokka is the planner but he also broke into prison(swt siblings have a thing lol) drank random desert juice & got high and does ill-advised #things all the time #aang is very wise and has lots of stories but he also detoured the entire training arc for vacation spots #toph....where do i even begin?#suki is older sister figure but lbr she too would do stupid shit #zuko....once again where tf do i begin?#older brother/ grumpy uncle/ maaaaaybe dad #but his crimes are endless so lets not
