I know one necessarily asked and no one probably cares, but i wanted to list my favorite bands (not in order). Most are metal (folk metal/viking metal, most especially), but some are just general alternative rock, i guess.

Melodic Death/Folk Metal from Düsseldorf, Germany

Exactly 30 years to the month after the band was founded, German melodic/celtic death metallers Suidakra will release their 15th studio album “DarkanakraD” on November 7th! Musically, the band seems to be reflecting on their early years, as DarkanakraD is undoubtedly dominated by melodic death metal, but at the same time it also represents a further development. The album, whose title translates as “Armageddon”, concludes the “Realms Of Odoric” trilogy, which began in 2016 with the album of the same name. We can be excited, because “Darkankrad” contains everything that has shaped the band over the last 30 years and is an album that couldn't have been a better present for the band's anniversary to themselves and their die-hard fans! The album will contain 11 songs and will be released on CD and vinyl.

If I don’t know them:

First song youtube took me to: March of Conquest

First Impression: A nice start, i like the general tone even if it's a bit... basic (but they might even go for that?). I feel like the song is not well mixed.

Do I like it?: I don't know? They kinda sound good, but they're not hitting the right vibe with me, if you get me?

Would I listen to more from them?: Yes, definitely. I'll give them a few more songs before i decide if i keep them around in my playlists or not :)

Additional info: I hope it's not too weird that i judge bands/songs a little bit more harshly if it's a genre i feel more at home at?

"Stone of the Seven Suns": I like it way more than the March of Conquest. I don't know how to say it, but i feel like it's just better.

"A Life in Chains": It's way way better than March of Conquest, but there are a few moments that kinda just don't feel right. They got overall better though, with time.
