Christmas Day had finally arrived, the day you'd been eagerly waiting for all year. It was your favorite holiday, and the excitement bubbled inside you as you jumped out of bed, quickly ate breakfast, and showered. You couldn't wait to see what this Christmas would bring.

You picked out a cozy, light grey knitted sweater dress, paired it with black leggings, and slipped on your favorite pair of black flats with white polka dots— a gift from last year. As you got dressed, your phone chimed with a new message. A smile tugged at your lips as you read it and quickly typed a reply, almost breaking a record for fastest texter.

Setting your phone down, you turned on some Christmas music. The sweet melody of EXO's "Christmas Day" filled the room as you hummed along, hurriedly finishing up. By the time you were ready, you turned off the music, stuffed your phone into your pocket, grabbed your jacket, wrapped a long white scarf around your neck, and rushed out the door, feeling the excitement grow.

The world outside greeted you with a magical sight— freshly fallen snow glittering in the sunlight. "It must have snowed last night," you thought, locking the front door and heading to your car. As you climbed in, you smiled at the sight of couples heading to their gatherings, all cheerful and festive. "You wouldn't really blindfold me, would you?" you teased, half-smiling.

Lay held up a bandana. "Yes, we would."

"Okay, okay. I promise I won't peek!" you said, closing your eyes tightly and covering them with your hands.

The guys whispered and shuffled around you, their movements too quiet to make sense of. After what felt like an eternity, they told you to open your eyes.

You blinked, letting your eyes adjust to the light, and then gasped in surprise.

Jongin stood before you, smiling, with his body forming a heart shape. He was wearing a red ribbon tied around his neck like a bow, a snug black sweater, and black jeans.

"Merry Christmas, Blondie!" he said, his deep voice making your heart flutter.

as long as you dont solely use korean fcs on non krp forums, you're eager to plot and as long as your character has a solid background for development opportunities, the jcink rpc is pretty chill after a lot of very huge resource site shut down. the issue was a mess too, causing a lot of people to leave both from lack of resources available for public use for free and people just decided to focus more on irl things now that half of the community comprises of mature writers. but the remaining peeps who are still actively contributing are very eager to help anyone willing to join! my advice is to check the member directory for each site to see if there's a diverse range of faces used. but dont use this as an excuse to make only korean characters and try not to use exclusively korean faces. also, reach out to other members for plotting opportunities as well!

sleepless in seoul (rl crime) is a newly established rp, but the members are pretty active. i also haven't had the time to make a character but the rp has an interesting premise with lots of interesting character requests to grab! and the admins are always happy to welcome newcomers and im sure they're happy to help you get situated on how jcink roleplaying works <3

overall, these are the sites im in/was in/have heard of that are pretty welcoming with asian faces! im pretty sure there's many more western forum rps that are pretty welcoming with poc faces but i dont have any experience with any other sites besides the ones listed above so i cannot say much. i would also like to add that the roleplayers in the jcink rpc are mostly in their mid 20s to late 30s, meaning that everyone are adults with irl responsibilities, so thread replies can be pretty unpredictable. but dont let that bother you or make you sad because the rp is inactive! the jcink rpc in general is pretty lax with their activity and wordcount requirements. hmu at discord @loeykji_ if you need to get situated to forum roleplaying 🫶🏻

Twice ATLA AU being Jihyo centric... it's what she deserves. Cause I don't really know enough about EXO, EXID, NCT or Seventeen I guess we'll stick with the Twice AU for now.

Nahyo as not only super talented firebenders, but also being nobles. That's the good shit right there. Fr exactly how I would've characterised them. Maybe even Jihyo being related to the firelord (perhaps even his daughter/heir, but I feel like even maybe as his niece or something). And Nayeon being the carefree/rebellious (doesn't care about her nobility) daughter of like some high ranking military general. They're besties. Obviously

Sana being a waterbender however, now that's a surprise. Off the top of my head I think I would've had her as maybe an airbender? But the more I think about the more waterbender Sana just makes sense, like I can see the vision, and I'm loving it. I can see her as maybe more of a healer than a fighter. The assistant of the head healer, or the next in line to be head healer (not sure how that would work, but I think you get what I mean). I don't think she'd be related to the chief or anything, but she'd still be very much known (and loved) by the whole community.

Are you going for it being more set in like ATLA, TLOK, or even completely different time period?

Do the other members (or even members of other groups) make an appearance? And if so, have you got backgrounds for them too? Because I have some ideas on a few members, but would love to hear your interpretation -🪃

you hit the nail on the head with Nahyo. I, too, see Jihyo as being related to the Fire Lord, probably a niece. She's outwardly responsible while being secretly a little bit of a troublemaker and then there's Nayeon who's a little shit ALL the time lmao it's why they work so well as friends. They're similar enough AND different enough for the dynamic to be healthy and comfortable.

As for Miss Sana! She definitely strikes me as a girl who grew up with brothers/male cousins and so while she IS a healer and (in general) a pacifist, she is a fierce bender when she needs to be. Her focus, though, is definitely healing. She likes holistic medicine and bending for medicinal purposes and so that's what she's studying at the university. It's a far cry, of course, from Jihyo who grew up fighting competitively and treating bending like the ultimate weapon. (But in life, and in AUs, opposites attract.)

I'd definitely say that this is set in the ATLA universe/time period rather than TLOK. It's an alternate timeline, of course, in which the Fire Nation is NOT trying to destroy the entire world but in terms of technological advancement and whatnot, it's ATLA for sure.

There's definitely other idols (some Twice, some non-Twice) and they DO have their own stories and plots but it's been a while since I've given those much thought! I know there are a few members of EXO and EXID specifically (Jongin, Suho and Solji from what I can remember) who are from Sana's tribe and part of the plot once Jihyo arrives at the South Pole!
