Every three months or so, the ex-E Class come together and meet at the mountain, given their availability allows it, and not only clean up the place but bring music and treats and drinks and everything in between. Long ago did Sugino brought up a grill and Itona and Ritsu wired up some speakers and lights around the area, overall making the space a good hangout for the ex-students.

And, even with them all going to different schools with different planned paths, they all kept in contact. However, some were harder to get into contact with than others. Of those, Karma and Nagisa being the most difficult, even with their relatively consistent communications with Nakamura and Kayano respectively.

So colour the class surprised when they see Nagisa and Karma in a more secluded area near the old campus building as they gather for another one of their hangouts.

Or; Nagisa and Karma are rarely ever able to make it to the get-togethers that the ex-E Class has but happen to be found dancing? fighting? flirting? in a field of flowers not far from the old campus building.

001 for Assassination Classroom?

Egads, is this an ask I see? *holds the precious*

Favorite character: Tie between Karma and Nagisa, each for different reasons. Shuu is an extremely close second. (I also get a kick out of him being second in everything. XD) Least Favorite character: Gastro is an absolute waste of a character. Sorry not sorry. His gun into ramen does make for some really funny memes though. XD 5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): KARMAGISA FOR LIFE!!! I also firmly support Shuuritsu, Karushuu, Sugizaki/TomoYuki, and Chihaya. Character I find most attractive: Karma... Character I would marry: Karma but not Karma because I know better than to get tied down to that. Wait... maybe Nagisa. He'd make for a wonderful house husband. ^^ (He still gets to be a teacher though.) Character I would be best friends with: This one's kinda hard actually, and random. Probably Itona. He seems like he'd be pretty chill to hang out with and I'd love to sit back and talk shit about the Terasaka gang while we do our own thing in the background. a random thought: Why don't I like Gakuhou more? (Or was this supposed to be and actually enlightening answer? You asked for a random thought and this randomly popped up in my head when I read it. How much more random can you get?) An unpopular opinion: Hiromi is redeemable. Now hear me out! Until I wrote it into Life in Retail, I hated her just as much as the next person, but surprisingly? She's just as much a victim of the same type of abuse as Nagisa, and that's just sad. :/ No it does not make it okay, but generational trauma is quite difficult to overcome for anyone of any age. My Canon OTP: I feel like there's only one to choose from, so Karasuma x Irina. My Non-canon OTP: KARMAGISA! Most Badass Character: So, I'd say Karma, but it's a tie between Nagisa, Itona and Kaede imo. They're all unexpectedly badass because of their height, and I love that. Most Epic Villain: Tentacled Reaper 2.0. 😢 It's also very sad. Pairing I am not a fan of: Fuwa with anyone. She's a queen all by herself. 😊 Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Tie between Karma, Shuu and Nagisa. Karma because they always make him so heartlessly cruel sometimes and he really isn't. Shuu because they basically make him Karma as though he weren't his own, completely valid person. And Nagisa because they make it seem like he likes girly things when he clearly has issues with his femininity. Like, come on people. (Realized I answered this for fanfic writers, not Matsui. 😅) As far as Matsui goes, I don't think he did anyone wrong. That's probably also an unpopular opinion, but if everything was done right and perfect, then you'd have nothing to add, and as an avid fanfic writer, I think the more perfect characters are the ones your own mind can add too. Their background, their personality, anything really. And Matsui has an all-star cast of characters that do just that, feed the imagination with a good foundation. Favourite Friendship: Another tie between Nagisa & Sugino and Karma & Rio. Character I most identify with: Karma Character I wish I could be: Karma XD

SHIP #3 (friendzone aside… they’d be an adorable couple)

It’s the most obvious fact that Sugino is head over heels to Kanzaki, but our girl here is either too oblivious or she actually knows about it and just simply sees him as a friend. Anyhow, there are reasons why I think that they’d be good for each other (besides the fact that Sugino is a jock and Kanzaki is the school beauty, which makes them a cliché but sensible match). 

I think it’s a given why Kanzaki is ideal for Sugino. She’s perfect in every aspect - looks, intellect, personality, strength, and she’s even good in video games. Every boy will definitely yearn to be with her especially if they get to know how tough and genuinely humble she is.   

Although Sugino is, at first, entranced by Kanzaki because of her beauty, he was the first one (if not amongst) in class to approach and befriend her as shown in the class field trip when he introduced her to Nagisa and co. to include her in their group. Usually, guys would come to woo her, but Sugino did so for a different and innocent intent - he wanted to be close to her because she’s her crush but that’s it - considering that he’s innately friendly and gets along with everyone. 

It’s mainly for that reason why I think that if Kanzaki was to choose someone to go out with, it’d be our baseball lover boi. 

Other than that, we can observe in the class field trip how Sugino has started to fall deeper for Kanzaki other than for her beauty and elegant demeanor. He also doesn’t act like a knight in shining armor with Kanzaki, which other guys will normally do if they crush on her. This goes to show that he knows that Kanzaki is capable enough and doesn’t need a prince on a white horse to sweep her off her feet. Moreover, he is honest about himself even when around his crush, he doesn’t necessarily try to impress her. A few times we’ve seen him simping over her even though he looks like a fool. Then when he received a chocolate from her on Valentines’, he went ballistic right in front of her. 

About the possibility that Kanzaki likes Nagisa, that fact has no reasonable proof except for the Class 3-E relationship chart that I’m not sure if it’s official or reliable. We may have indications, which points us that Kanzaki has a crush on him but those are just speculations on our part. 

Even if it was true, it doesn’t change my opinion that Sugino is a perfect fit for Kanzaki. Despite his undying and excessive adoration for her, they are still comfortable with each other as friends. Then, on Valentines’ Arc, Kanzaki went out of her way to give chocolates to Sugino privately (even if they are only obligatory). That means that she holds him as someone dear to her and who she truly appreciates. 

LASTLY, they look good together aesthetically. The color scheme of their character designs match well. That’s just a minor reason but it’s a charm to their dynamic. 

As to why they rank lower than Nakamura and Sugaya despite having more plausibility of their ship, it’s because Nakamura and Sugaya as a pair is less obvious and has more interesting aspects to explore about. 

For my fourth-ranking ship, it’s Kataoka and Isogai, the class representatives. I’ll be discussing about them next!

“And then, after the pitcher gave it another try, he-” Sugino stopped himself, dropping his hands that had been enthusiastically waving around. “Are you two even listening?!”

“Uh-huh. We totally are.”

He scowled. “You’re not even looking up!”

The two girls finally lifted their gazes up from their game consoles, albeit begrudgingly. “Sorry, Sugino, it’s just that you’ve told this story seven times already!” Fuwa replied.

“Yeah, that’s how great of a story it is! It gets better every time you hear it!”

“When it’s about baseball, not really,” she countered flatly. Kanzaki decided to step in before they could argue.

“I’m sorry, we didn’t mean to ignore you,” she assured him, at least looking guilty as she spoke. “This level is a tricky one, that’s all. As soon as we’re done, you can tell us all you want.”

Sugino sighed, leaning back against his seat. “Fine...”

Kanzaki beamed at him. “You’re the best!”

Just a few months ago, Sugino’s heart would’ve leaped at those words and his face would be brighter than Karma’s hair. But now, as he and Kanzaki had built a strong friendship and he’d realized his feelings for her were too shallow...

“Stop trying to butter me up,” Sugino muttered, earning a laugh from her. His lips curved up despite himself and he busied himself with the baseball next to him, tossing it back and forth in the air.
