Pierre and Carlos would both be ballsy enough to ask her out and I think she would consider a date with either of them. Both are former Max teammates too so they could’ve gotten close then. Both kinda cocky.

Lance is one of my personal favorites. He’s funny, kinda fiesty at times. I don’t think she would care about the nepo aspect and he’s friends with Mick so the intro is there. Plus we’ve seen the pic of her and Lance so we know they’re at least casual friends.

Charles could work too. Casual with Max, not over the top, good driver. No obvious reason against him.

Latifi is funny, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and could’ve been a single date.

Saying Hulkenberg still has a few years left in him is a reach, better drivers retired at his age and he's not on the level of an Alonso to refute the age argument when all the youngsters are pushing to get in. He was sidelined for three years bc teams didn't want him fulltime until he gave haas a call and this will be his last stint (maybe one more with them if he's solid)

i disagree with the fact that it is stretch, anon. it is not really about driving skills, but it is about cognitive ageing among other factors. this is different from individual to individual. some people have a sharp decline in their early 30s, some in their mid-30s and others are well into their 40s before the decline starts. there is no way of knowing when this decline starts and when it will start to impact drivers. it is not like the day they turn 37 then they wake up with a reduced driving skill. there are also factors such as motivation and fitness, i definitely think motivation is an underrated factor in why some drivers hit a wall in their mid-30s (besides cognitive ageing).

there are many factors that play into who gets seats in formula 1, we all know capability is not usually the deciding factor. i am not saying hulkenberg will be at his best, but i do not believe he will be that much worse. i count this year as a year (since the season has not even begun) and then you admit yourself that he might have another year in him. then we are already at two years. i don't see how "a few years" is a stretch then?

i have not seen proof that his driving skill has suffered. he subbed at aston martin and beat lance stroll, did he not? all i am saying is don't underestimate nico hulkenberg.

Of course Lance Stroll's career as a driver is the result of nepotism.

Even Jessica Pegula's career is a result of her having 10 0000000 times the resources of any other player on earth. I remember when I first heard of Pegula, she was just a nothing player who was notable because her father owned the Buffalo Sabres. She's just become the third best female tennis player in the world. It's true that she did all the practices. But there's a huge amount of advantages that allowed her to do this

not having to give up when she got injured or played badly. Many tennis players retire because of injuries they can't afford to treat, or run out of money to travel to the next tournament

having best coaching. She was able to pay Michael Joyce (Sharapova's coach at the time) to teach her. Under his tutelage her play improved tremendously

not having to live the sucky life of a sub 100 player

Yes she still had to do the trainings, cope with losing, cope with the travel. But she had the best travel, best accommodation and food, never had to worry about supporting her family. I hate the fact that Pegula and Stroll's billionaire background is presented as some sort of an obstacle they had to overcome--oh, he/she could just have spent the rest of their life on their parents' private jet/yacht, taking coke, socialising etc etc. THEY WERE BORN ON A COMFY SEXY PILLOW WITH A VIEW FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. If anything else, the wealth means they never had to worry and could outsource logistics to other people.

Now compare that to Lance. His wealth is an even bigger advantage because his father bought him a team and a car and a whole factory worth of Phds. To top it all off his team mates (interestingly whenever Seb is brought up talk turns to how washed Seb was.... yeah he was washed and Stroll still lost) have shown that he doesn't have what it takes.

It's pathetic enough to be bankrolled by Daddy while comparing yourself to other drivers who were so desperate they sold their souls to RB Juniors or signed exploitative contracts promising part of their earnings in order to borrow money. Now he and his fans want us to love him? Shut the fuck up.

Alonso went through the gravel trap at the exit of the final corner as he began his first flying lap of the session. “The quali one damage in particular was really big,” Aston Martin’s performance director Tom McCullough said in response to a question from RaceFans. “So the fact that he made it through was good. “What was a little bit hard for him is every run we were repairing the car. We didn’t actually know how much better it was going to be aerodynamically and therefore the aero balance until we’d actually run the car and got the data. So he was having to adapt and he’s very good at that so he did a really good job on Saturday.” Some teams have found a bump into the way into the ultra-fast corner has triggered porpoising on their cars, but this wasn’t the case for Alonso, said McCullough. “Opening the first lap in quali one he went in and had a snap on the way in,” he explained. “So whether it was a little damp patch, probably pushing a bit hard – it wasn’t any bouncing, so it was just more a low-grip snap, track not quite in good enough condition.” McCullough described the damage Alonso did when he went off. “When you fly into the gravel trap at that speed it’s just like sand-blasting in the car. “The underneath, the strakes and everything, got a real beating. It ripped off some of the veins and winglets underneath as well. So we were definitely quite sub-optimal with the car. He therefore had to adjust to a car which gradually improved through the session. Gallery: 2023 Spanish Grand Prix qualifying in pictures “We were able to, each time the car was in the garage, repair the car and actually slowly improve the car to the point that near the end of qualifying three, we nearly got half of the deficit back from a data side of things,” said McCullough. “Unfortunately Fernando then in the end on his one new set of tyres in qualifying three went in a bit deep to turn 10 and ran wide onto the damp patch. “But yes, it was great job by the crew in the garage. And also we have a group of people monitoring the data back at mission control able to tell us the overall load loss and the aero balance loss as we were evolving through the sessions. Which makes it really good for the race engineers to be able to adapt the flap angle and try to get a balance on the car.” Aston Martin has replaced the floor on Alonso’s car ahead of today’s race. “So it should be back to normal,” said McCullough. Alonso will line up eighth on the grid, three places behind team mate Lance Stroll. However McCullough believes they could have achieved much better starting positions. “I think the car had the potential to be on the front row of the grid with Sergio out, with both drivers I think.
