after 5 years (5!!!), i made the sort-of-not-really-that-big decision of reviving this account! from stvdyblring (old langblr + hs studyblr, rest in peace), we’re now going by studymedisina to reflect the changes that have happened in my academic life since then.

moving forward, i’ll try to post a few tips that have helped me immensely in my undergraduate and now my medical studies, as well as some snapshots in the day of a medical student in the philippines.

also, i’m currently on a follow spree; feel free to drop a like or reblog on this post if you want me to follow you, i’d like to get back into the groove of the studyblr community as soon as possible! and of course, you aren’t obligated to follow me back, but i’d really appreciate it if you did 🙏

Hey guys! So I’ve had this (I guess I could say?) studyblr for quite a while now but I’ve never really posted much original content since I use this mainly as a platform for inspiration. For the new year I thought maybe I should have a fresh start and start posting more as well. I made an introduction post a while back but I felt like redoing it so enjoy :) 

ABOUT My name’s Lydia and I’m from Malaysia. I’m entering my last year in high school which makes me 17 y/o.  > Chinese (but totally can’t speak Mandarin since I was brought up mostly speaking English) > INFJ / Slytherin / Libra > Fluent in English and Malay > Thinking of studying architecture/interior design after high school > ig: @l.chg

INTERESTS > I’m such a geek for personality stuff (i.e. the Myers Briggs test) > Poetry and art > Main genre of music I listen to would be indie/electronic > Youtubers I watch most of the time: Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth, doddleoddle, Will Darbyshire, Dan and Phil (and the occasional Buzzfeed Unsolved) > I watch some TV series’s and anime (i.e. Stranger Things, Westworld, Erased, Another) > Hmu if you want to know more! 

CLASSES I’M TAKING (’17/’18) I’m in the full science stream in my school so pretty much all the science subs which kill me. (Fun fact: In Malaysia, students are streamed into different streams; full science, semi science or art; according to our grades and we have subjects set for us besides the few extra subjects we have a choice to take; i.e. art, computer science)

yes, i have so many! my favorite bands are walk the moon and panic! at the disco. my favorite singers are harry styles, lorde, borns, and niall horan.

2. what’s your favorite breakfast food(s)?

my favorite breakfast food has always been bagels with cream cheese. they’re so good! also i really love cinnamon toast crunch cereal lol.

my top 3 goals are to improve my gpa, study smarter (not more or harder), and to use my planner.

5. what is your dream profession?

dermatologist or surgeon

6. if you had the chance to live in the universe of one tv show/movie, which would you choose and why?

star wars!! i have been a fan of the series and grew up on the movies. the concept and space itself fascinates me.

7. any good book/show recommendations?

8. early bird or night owl?

night owl, i struggle so hard to wake up in the morning, but it used to be the opposite

9. if you could only buy study/stationery supplies from one brand for the rest of your life, which brand would you choose and why?

i don’t own anything from muji, but i would definitely choose them. i’ve only heard great things about them.

10. favorite season?

winter!!

my favorite clothing style is definitely 90s inspired

Since I’m new to the studyblr community, I thought it would be great to make a formal introduction! My name is Bel and I was inspired to do this introduction by @muedestudy, a new studyblr I will definitely be checking out :)

About me

I’m 17 years old, turning 18 in August this year

Born in the UK

I study Psychology, English Literature and Religious Studies at A-Level

I have applied to study Psychology at university

I created this studyblr to motivate myself, as I am the worst when it comes to procrastinating

Interests

I am currently obsessed with Netflix series, I just finished up TVD and am now moving on to Teen Wolf! 

Even though I don’t study it, I absolutely love history. My favourite eras definitely have to be Tudor, Italian Renaissance, Ancient Egypt and the reign of Louis XIV

My favourite artists are Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Sam Smith. I do prefer solo artists, but there are some groups, like Red Velvet, that I listen to

i also love anything and everything musical theatre

i haven’t been quite active on the langblr community for the past year, due to personal reasons. now that my life is back on track, i decided to return to tumblr to begin a studyblr, in order to motivate me to take my studies seriously. my posts and reblogs will now revolve around chemistry and biology, although spontaneous language posts may come from time to time. if this isn’t your cup of tea, feel free to unfollow my blog, but if you decide to stay, feel free to talk to me! i promise, i’m not always this awkward hahahaha. thank you very much, and have a wonderful day!
