"Harlequin Princess" I decided to finish this gorgeous harlequin paper clay doll while my snowmen are drying! Oh my goodness y'all..I I love working with paper clay! I decided while I was painting her to add paper on top of the clay cut out in the shape of harlequin diamonds! I also added a bit of silver paint and rhinestones!!! Y'all know how much I like bling!!! And look at that crown I blinged out!! Oh and the butterfly 🦋! Do you love that collar! Let me tell ya it gave me a fit the first 3 times I tried to attach it! "World's Best Dad" I absolutely love him! As I mentioned before my art creates itself! This wasn't meant to be a male figure at all. But to me it took on a masculine look. I tried to change the look by adding clay removing it, repeat! So I left it be for a bit. Then I decided not to fight it, it wants to be a man...well okay, then you're getting a ball cap! He evolved from there! He does look like the world's greatest dad! He has such a sincere expression! I love all the texture I create on these figures, I adore how expressive they are! There's just something about creating with clay. The way it feels in my hands. I really feel like I'm creating! I look at them from different angles and wait until they speak to me, and tell me what to do next! I know y'all are probably thinking I need a therapist!! Ha..ha! SUNFLOWER. Little Lion. Cushion doll. Pure wool embroidery on pure wool woven suiting fabric in two shades, with wool felt applique. I have embroidered him in on trend colours for Mid Century interiors. He's about 8inches long and 7inches high, lightly stuffed with pure wool roving. The pattern is my own.
