I was never quite sure why the blue mildliner came out so gray on my notebook but I like the way it ended up.

I adapted a weekly spread I saw and loved, to fit my weekly university work log so that each module has it’s own section.
I really need the module reading lists to be released soon though as I’ve already started drawing out spreads for next year!

Starting Uni Advice
I’ve finally got less than a month to go before I go back to uni but I know most people will start before me. This time last year I was next level worried about starting university so like the wise old woman I am I shall impart onto you my best advice for somewhat reducing stresses of uni.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE I HAVE look for scholarships before you go to uni. My uni aren’t great at advertising them and I only found out that I could apply for some by stumbling upon the application page. I’m incredibly fortunate to be a part of a scholarship program and it’s helped me SOOOOO much during my first year.
- Before class starts go to your library and photocopy/scan the chapters of textbooks you’ll need. I paid way too much for textbooks only to find I needed one chapter out of each one. The reason I say go early and scan them is because people will take out the books asap so try get in there first.
- It’s okay if you don’t make friends on the first day! You’ll find your people eventually, just stay friendly with everyone though as it’s always nice to have a couple of people here and there to turn to when you need help (and to help when they need it!)
- If your classes/halls/dorms/year has a group chat try to get added into it. It’ll help when you’ve got minutes before your deadlines and can’t find that one thing you had to include. I made friends before going through the student room as well as group chats so I’d say those are worth a look too. IDK if the student room is a thing anywhere other than the UK though, sorry international people
- Let your parents/friends know how you get on. I live on the other side of the country when I’m at university so I call or at least text my mum everyday to let her know how I’m getting on and find out what’s going on at home and work seriously her office gossip is better than any reality TV show.  They worry about you and want to know how you’re doing too.
- If you’re in a new town or school get to know the place, go for walks around campus or have a nosey in some of the buildings (obviously only the ones you’re allowed into). I found it useful going to the library and finding out how the books were organised and how to find resources using the overly complex system my uni uses.
- Eat well! Don’t forget to have breakfast before you go (I’m awful for not eating in the mornings). Particularly if you have a morning class (but also if not!!) eating something substantial before going off to class will wake you up a lot more than just a cup of coffee. It’s also super important for health reasons but ngl I don’t really know the whole ins and outs of that. Also nobody wants to be the person with a rumbly tummy in the middle of a quiet lecture. It also helps to figure out what meals you can make that don’t cost too much - tip: fresh veg isn’t as expensive if you buy it loose plus it’s super filling and easy to cook.
- If you have lectures and want to meet new people try to sit as close to the middle of the hall as possible. Quiet people tend to sit to the sides and back of the hall (I basically own the back corner of all lecture halls) but the people who want to talk and meet you will likely sit in the most sociable area.
- Most importantly don’t put too much pressure on your first day the pressure will come later in the semester when you have piles of work and exam prep to do it’s just your first day - you’ll have plenty more to go! Remember that everyone will be nervous no matter how chill they seem.

Whilst most of my uni’s students are out seeing S-club at the union, I’m sat at home drinking cheap wine and binge watching Brooklyn-99 for the 4 millionth time. To be fair I did plan on getting ahead with my screenings for film but the DVD I needed wasn’t in the library.
To make the picture somewhat relative (and so I didn’t post a text post for the 400th time in a row) I actually followed my own advice and borrowed my textbooks from the library. Classes start a week today so I’ll finally be getting back to posting notes and pretty study-related things!
