Welcome back to the NEXT EXCITING INSTALLMENT OOOOOF!!! Milo Confuses His Lefts and Rights So Bad He Fucking Dies.

I'm gonna try and give like. Bare minimum context. Bc I don't wanna show my whole hand. Stay with me I don't have words or explanations sorry

I'm trying to follow The Rule. The 180 Rule I think it's called. The Avoid Spontaneously Teleporting Your Characters And Making Them Inexplicably Switch Places Rule. These are just key panels, again, bare minimum to see what angles/movements I'm making here

Okay. You see the Issue. I will show you some more

This is part of my first roughs for this panel/page. Let's unpick this.

1) Seemingly Correct Placement. Yippee!

2) Ran into the same issue written above, where the bodies are blocking MOST of the Most Significant THINGS. I CANNOT stress this enough. There's SYMBOLISM here, that is a Key Component to what you're supposed to fucking infer.

3) Scabbard is on the right side here and should be on the left. Which led me to make that scribbly Alfonse ref I posted earlier.

So I revise it. I was SO FUCKING PROUD OF THIS. Let's unpick it.

1) Eyes are drawn to The Focal Points. Alfonse, hand on his hip, resting on his sword (sheathed). It's a relaxed/at ease pose, so it doesn't Have to mind handedness too much.* Meanwhile, you see more of Moe's pose, staff slung over the shoulder. It's been holding the staff like this the whole time I imagine, just mostly out of frame during page 1.

2) The poses are MUCH clearer due to the placement. However. You are seeing the problem here.

3) THEY FUCKING TELEPORTED (OR MAYBE I'M STILL CONFUSED???? IT IS POSSIBLE.)

*I guess one thought that's occurring to me is maybe the same "don't mind the handedness at rest" approach could apply here??? Edit for Moe here to clarify

This isn't even factoring in whatever the fuck is happening on page 3, but I do think it's fucked. Like, just from my brief overview/take my word for it, I think they are on the Correct sides on page 3. Which may make the Switch/Teleporting more egregious.

So like. Where do I even go from here. Please for the love of god help me.

you know... as barton's #1 hater, it pains me to say this, but he mighttt actually be semi-decent at flirting with someone / seducing someone. LMAO okay, i'm joking about it paining me + being his number one hater (though i AM a hater of his), though let me explain why i'm talking about this right now — because it actually does have something to do with how barton 'lures in' his victims and this is usually by going on romantic dates with them.

and barton purposely does this by putting himself in situations where he'll attract the persons attention and/or where he can flirt with them, OFC, but while they're none the wiser to what his true (and VERY twisted) intentions behind talking to them is 😬 because i know i say this a lot but barton is DEFINITELY not a good person and at the end of that first date, he'll kill them.

and this might be an unnecessary detail, but with how the media unfortunately tends to sensationalize serial killers, i feel like this has earned him a nickname in the papers because of those who have discovered his victims. i'll talk about this more later, though

Laces fell away beneath nimble fingers. Shoes, stripped free and placed carefully on the mat by the door, 90 degree angle from the wall. Tucked tightly between the 27.5cm pair to their left, and the 28cms to their right.

His coat was hung on its peg, pockets emptied of keys and card holder to keep from marring its perfect lines. Both went into the bowl on the nearby side table, a moment spared to hope Gaku didn't walk off with them again.

Soft footsteps to his bedroom, careful not to wake the others. The door clicked shut behind him, locking them out. Alone, again. At last.

The rest of his clothing shed, quickly but methodically. Sweater tugged free, shirt buttons undone. Belt, pants, socks. Cast aside and deposited into the bin for washing. Cleansers and moisturizers beneath his hand, the floor length mirror throwing back his own reflection.

Tenn's body was perfect in almost every way. It was his duty to keep it that way, and one he embraced. Fair skin kept safe from the sun by sleeves and sunblock. Flawless complexion rigorously maintained each night, a dozen creams and cleansers to strip and replenish his skin. Carefully curated muscles, present but slender, clear through his skin without losing that androgynous charm. Hair kept sleek and shining, teeth white and straight, eyes bright. Immaculate.

Except...

Tenn flexed his toes. Misshapen nail beds dug into tapered toes, dark and scarred along their craggy tips. Thick purpled marks marred his pale flesh, clear even through the heavy calluses that gnarled his feet. His second toe was still crooked on his left foot where he'd broken it years past and never let it set right, and the pinkie on his right was missing its nail entirely. Scattered ribbons of silver-pink crisscrossed the tops of his toes and his arch, split skin healed over with time to look almost new. No amount of toe tape or second skin would have been enough to protect his feet from the abuse he had put them under — continued to put them under every day, in practice and performance.

Tenn scowled at them, rubbing them with moisturizer and ointment as efficiently as possible. Even he didn't want to have to look at them and longer than necessary. The one flaw to his otherwise perfect body.

But it was okay. His feet were never visible in their costumes. The fans would never have to see this. No one had to know that he was only almost-perfect.
