Thank you @honey-tea-and-lemon-trees for tagging me! Pulling from a few different WIPs: a one-shot that will be completed soon, a multi-chapter I've been chipping away at for quite some time, and one lovingly referred to as 'the death fic'.

Smirking behind her mask, the woman disappeared as suddenly as she had materialized and Nancy was left stumbling away from the wall dazed and confused.

Metal squeaked across linoleum as she fell heavy against the desk, slumping toward the floor.

It seemed all one needed was dim lighting and the illusion of anonymity to abandon any need for privacy.

Laura looked up at the dumbfounded crowd, glaring as she locked eyes with Ace and Tamura. 

Everyone was equal parts happy and relieved when she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps by pursuing medical school instead of her mother’s more atypical brand of mystery solving.

All I Want for Christmas is You

When Nancy comes home unexpectedly for Christmas from her internship at a Boston Detective agency to no room at the house on River Heights, Ace steps up and offers her a place to stay. Which is great for somewhere to sleep, but terrible for the feelings for him she's been desperately trying to repress. Cue longing, mistletoe, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit.

it's new year's eve & ryan hudson is not about to let his daughter repeat his mistakes.

set somewhere in that month that nancy was avoiding ace in 3x13. ryan fights for nace.

It was New Year’s Eve 2019 and the town of Horseshoe Bay closely resembled the picture-perfect setting in the snow globe on the counter. A light layer of snow was dusting the streets, Christmas lights were still twinkling in windows, loved ones were beginning to gather to ring in the new year, and Nancy Drew was staring miserably at the sorbet options in front of her. “It feels like 2019 has been four years long. I’m ready to be rid of it,” she grumbled to her companion, pausing her pity party only to offer the ice cream shop worker a small smile at the end of her request for a single scoop of raspberry sorbet. Ryan Hudson, on the other hand, was all smiles. Hot fudge sundae in hand, he had already left a generous tip by the time Nancy’s smile dropped. A gesture for her to pick a spot to sit in the completely empty room soon followed. “You’ve been sad lately.” A serious understatement.
