Over the past few years there has been a growing trend on the Hamptons style home. As I meander through the streets of our suburb, Burleigh Heads, I tend to find at least a home or 2 in each street which has a real Hampton's feel to it. I am personally a fan of this style when done well, and I can openly say that our own family home certainly reflects elements of a Hamptons home, with its own little quirky twists of course!! So what are some of the key features to use when trying to emulate a Hampton's style home you might ask? White window trims & doors, timber cladding, shingle roof (in dark colour), high ceilings throughout and shaker style cabinetry (Hampton's profile doors) are just some of the key elements that can transform an ordinary home into a Hampton's one. One of our current projects in Burleigh is a large scale Hampton's renovation and it has been the talk of the street ever since we started construction. The timber cladding, high raked ceilings and shaker style cabinetry are the real heroes of the home. As shown in our progress pics, you can see that the home is certainly starting to take shape & is going to be absolutely stunning when completed. Have a great month! The Davey Constructions Team 😊

With the recent completion of our Hamptons Project in Burleigh Heads we feel grateful for the opportunity to work with such wonderful clients who truly appreciate their new home and absolutely love the new version of their ‘beach shack’.
This build took the Davey Constructions team 6 months from start to finish, which included a new pool, new front fence and all hard and soft landscaping.
We recently had some had some professional photos taken by Rix Ryan photography which really showcase the attention to detail in all the finishes throughout the home. We are so thrilled with the outcome & the results speak for themselves!!

What a couple of months it has been for the team at Davey Constructions. Our new build in Broadbeach Waters is really taking shape with the scaffold about to go up so external cladding can get underway. We have also just completed our second project for the year and our clients are just thrilled with their new home.
In March this year we began demolition on our Hampton’s renovation in Burleigh Heads. Over the coming months we saw this modest little beach shack transform into the talk of the street, quite literally.
Now that our clients are settled into their new home, we look forward to taking some professional pictures in the coming month. Here is a little snapshot of the project process over the past 6 months.
Have a lovely week,
The Davey Constructions Team.

Another busy month here at Davey Construction’s headquarters & work sites. This month we have begun demolition on our new project in Burleigh Heads. This beautiful ‘Hamptons’ style home has been designed by our esteemed colleague Stuart Osman, of Stuart Osman Building Designs.  We have worked very closely with Stuart on a large number of projects around the Burleigh Heads area over the past 4 years. He has an extensive portfolio which ranges from Luxury large scale new homes to small renovations. You can find more info on Stuart Osman Building Designs @ www.sobd.net/
Our Miami duplexes are really starting to take shape now with all the windows/ doors installed and roof on. Over the coming weeks the duplexes will be cladded and plastered ready for the fun part, interior finishes & fixtures.
Just before Christmas last year we finished a beautiful ‘country cottage’ renovation for our very pleased clients up at Parkwood. The beautiful detailed paneling in the kitchen cabinetry, Timber bench top and engineered oak floor really created a sense of warmth and enhanced the overall finish of the home. Take a look at some of our pictures above.
Wishing you and your families a very safe & happy Easter.
The Davey Constructions Team

Final fixtures and fittings are going in at our Banksia Broadway project. This addition designed by our architect @stuartosmanbuildingdesigns has not only doubled the footprint of the home but provided the clients with a view of the Burleigh Heads beach skyline which is just awesome. 🏖#newhome #renovation #stuartosmanbuildingdesigns #burleighheadsbeach #whataview #goldcoastbuilders

Progress on Banksia Broadway...This second story addition of our Burleigh renovation is almost complete. Spotted gum decking, a custom timber bench seat and privacy screening makes this outdoor space a great to entertain. The black framed windows against the timber also gives the home a very contemporary feel.

Last week I had the pleasure of taking one of our clients down to Byron Bay Tile Merchants to look at tile selections for their new build in Palm Beach. The selection of encaustic tiles was amazing!! We were blown away by the variety of tiles there and feel excited about the choices made for all the wet areas.

Where there is mess, there is progress! Our current project in Banksia Broadway, Burleigh Heads is moving full steam ahead. These pictures show the framing stage of the second story complete and the roof trusses on. Selecting colours for clients is one of my true joys and passions. Our current clients have given me a brief on roof, Windows & preferred colour for render (Grey). As there are a myriad of greys out there, it is always good to narrow down to just a few when making a decision. As the clients have decided on colorbond 'Ironstone' roof & 'Black Matt' Windows a warmer grey would work better than a cool one. Favourites in the running for this project are Dulux 'Silver Illusion', followed closely by Brittish Paints 'Grey Fibre'. What are your favourite Greys? Click here to get our e-brochure: http://ow.ly/kBS301niy4. #Dulux #britishpaints #colorbond #bradnams #newhomes #renovations #stuartosmanbuildingdesigns #goldcoastbuilders
