can i maybe please please please get a snippet of the witches au🙏🏼🥺🙏🏼🥺
Absolutely! I also made this 🥺 face when I read your ask. It's so surreal to me that anyone other than me misses this AU. Thank you for letting me know it's not forgotten ❤️ (I swear I will be back with this series. I have some 60k words written and unpublished.)
Sorry I made you wait until WIP Wednesday, but I don't have that many shareable snippets left, so I need to be conservative with them!
“I’ve spoken with Higuruma--” “Must you talk about other men while we’re in bed?” Because Suguru is one in a million and actually enjoys Satoru’s sense of humour, he snickers, shifts to look at Satoru, and gives him a fond pat on the cheek. “Have some faith. I’m not self-destructive enough to be interested in a lawyer.” The post-nut giggles are hitting them hard today. Satoru curls in close to better breathe in the scent of Suguru’s hair as he laughs. They both know Suguru is more than self-destructive enough for an ill-advised relationship. And also that he absolutely can’t stand most people’s close proximity, so if he ever wants to cheat on Satoru, it’ll have to be phone sex or something. Does it mean that Satoru is immune to jealousy when Suguru pays too much attention to other people? Nope! But he gets to be playful about it instead of murderous. “Okay.” Satoru clears his throat. “What did you and your handsome friend with a prestigious job talk about?” Suguru leans in close until the tips of their noses are touching. “He’s too boring for me, Satoru. As evidenced by the fact that he’s agreed to help me review all cases involving homicide or criminal injury from the last five years caused by unusual or unexplained cuts.” Satoru nods, mostly to rub his nose against Suguru’s. “So boring. Why do you want to do it?” “To get more context regarding [REDACTED]’s activity. I’ve told you, there are so many rumours about this guy. I want to know how many of them are real. The stunt he pulled at the conference makes me think he’s no stranger to avoiding the law.” “That’s smart, but way more work than I’d prefer to put in.” Satoru lets his eyes slip shut. Maybe he can get away with a nap before he has to go back to his own research. “I’m not just doing it for you. I feel like I need ammunition against [REDACTED].” A witch’s intuition is a formidable tool. If that’s how Suguru feels, he should absolutely go with it. “Let me know if I can help.” “Higuruma’s going to pull some string to get the case files. If that fails, my next best bet is you.” Satoru turns his face into the pillow with a noise of disapproval. “Stop talking about him and pet me.” Suguru laughs at him, but his hand does end up in Satoru’s hair, so he’s forgiven. Probably, Satoru would forgive him if he committed the worst crimes. Does Suguru know all he has to do to gain the protection of the strongest witch is scratch at Satoru’s scalp for a bit? If he doesn’t, it should stay that way.

hi!! just wondering if you have any stsg fic recs you’d be willing to share? i’m currently gobbling up 2sorcs like a gremlin and looking for something else to read between updates but i only really trust your opinions and characterizations which 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 anyways love ur work and hope you’re doing well!!
Ah! First of all, thank you <3 I do have some fics I really like! I shall rec them and give a little anxiety disclaimer at the end.
Fic Recs - Shorties
it would make a whole - by @diggingupgrave 8.8k, T, First Year, Pre-Relationship, Emotional H/C oh i love this fic so very much. this may have been one of the fics that really got me thinking about their characterization in the first place, tbh.
As You Wish - by @haha-funny-valentine 2.5k, T, Post-Star Plasma Arc, Emotional H/C wonderful characterization here and I am just such a sucker for H/C.
The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom - by @zombieheroine 16.3k, T, Prison Realm Gojo Character Study I took my skin off to check and I am shocked that this fic is not like, Doing Numbers. this fic is SO fucking creative and unique and I just. love. it. Definitely a big inspiration for FIYM. It's like Harrow the Ninth but for Gojo in the Prison Realm and like, oh my god so well done imo.
Longfic Recs with Caveats
and if you take my hand (series) - by @detta-pica 40k (Ongoing), T, Witch AU, Slow Burn Caveat: this is a WIP, and we're in the early part so very much Unresolved Romantic Tension. But I really like the worldbuilding in this and I'm excited to follow it as it keeps going, so big rec here if you like Plot and are down to follow some more ongoing fics. :)
coanda effect - by @bunniehoneys 250k, M, F1 AU, Slow Burn, Eating Disorders, Drugs, Bad Choices I am probably the last person in the world to read this fic so it feels silly to rec, but I'm doing it anyway because I'm a little obsessed. Caveat 1: also technically a WIP for another week or two
Caveat 2: TAGS check the tags. If you are at all sensitive to discussion of EDs, skip this fic, but I think it's done well and adds a lot to the characterization
Caveat 3: I am not caught up on this fic. it's one that I didn't let myself read for a while (see below) but F1 has a special place in my heart (my dad is into it, I used to live in a Gran Prix city, and I have watched WAY too much F1 Lets Play content).
I've been working really shitty hours for the past 48 hours (almost done) due to research that requires specific spans of real earth time. Because I don't have the focus to write right now, I've had the chance to read a little, and I've read about 75% of this gargantuan fic in windowless rooms on my phone, which has to say something about how much I love it lmao.
Disclaimer: I am a bad source of stsg fics because I actually don't read very many. If I read amazing fic then it tends to trigger the "you will never be as good as the old masters" part of the brain, although instead of real art like in the meme, my fic is putting gojo in a minecraft hoodie and making him do the gangnam style dance. Still.
I also get very unhealthy about metrics/numbers, which I mostly manage by using AO3 skins to block stats, but I still have some moments of weakness. So I try to avoid looking at stuff that I know might make me anxious/insecure about my own works and be unable to finish them (this has unfortunately happened to me before in the FE3H fandom, and that continues to weigh on me).
All that to say, there are some really big, nice, and well-loved fics by wonderful authors currently being updated, and I have read almost none of them. So this is absolutely not me saying I don't like their characterizations, I'm just kind of a hermit.

For the alphabet fandom ask game -
G,U,N,P,O,W,D,E,R,,, T,I,M. you agree?
I love you, btw <3
Hi hi hi I love you
G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?
I can't remember my first one because bad memory but one of the oldest is definitely the Doctor and Rose Tyler. I just love them so much and I think about the Bad Wolf so often
U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
Jonathan Archivist Sims (the Magnus Archives) - my beloved asshole <3 He is so creature and I love his moral conflict. And while I think he should get worse and more evil, I love how clinging to his humanity is a central part of his story line
Itadori Yuuji (Jujutsu Kaisen) - he is my precious sunshine whom I love so so much. My boy deserves a happy life. I love how human he is, despite the hellish circumstances. The way he disregards his own life for the sake of others is just so tragic. I am very proud of him and his insane progresss
Jonny d'Ville (The Mechanisms) - bastard (affectionate). Everyone's favorite First Mate. I look at him like this 👁️👁️ while he commits acts of unspeakable violence, I take notes
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
I can't really think of anything? Maybe more queer platonic relationships and focus on friendships without calling them siblings or parent/child
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
TMA AU where Jon is kidnapped by Nikola and becomes the avatar of the Stranger (you already know this one but I couldn't really think of anything else)
O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?
The very first song I thought of was The Old Witch Sleep and The Good Man Grace and starting from 5:30 and to the end of the song it fits sukuita so perfectly
W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
I generally don't hate tropes specifically and will read anything if well executed, but I do dislike "it was all a dream"
Also, I tend to avoid college/school/no powers au because they are pretty boring to me but I don't hate them
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.
Oh, there are so many. Stsg, jmart are the first ones that came to mind. They just don't have anything that makes me want to think about them :/
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?
Nope
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
In TMA it's Jon and Sasha (they could have been best friends!!!) and also Jon and Daisy, especially post coffin. For jjk, it's probably Yuuji and Nobara, their friendship was incredibly precious to me and I need Nobara to be alive and well so bad
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
Can't think of any right now, I don't think so
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Nope, I don't let social media influence my enjoyment of something. If I stop liking something, it's because I lost interest organically and not because people were annoying about it
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Yuuji!! He is a great friend and I am sure we would be besties :D I would say Jarachivist but we would argue about the stupidest thing 5 times a day because our autism would clash in the worst ways

They don’t make it a serious spar. Instead, they compare moves they’ve learned in the years since they’ve last practised together, and goof off. It’s fun. Satoru is still incredibly fast and flexible, the former of which Suguru suspected, and the latter he’s had the opportunity to test recently. He’s also careful about not letting Suguru get hurt, happy to share what he knows, and eager to show off. “You’re a good teacher,” Suguru tells him after Satoru rants for a good five minutes about which of two comparable techniques is superior. “Megumi would laugh in your face,” Satoru says, but he preens, eyes twinkling. “He doesn’t know how good he has it. Although, if you were my teacher back then, looking as you do know, I wouldn’t have learned shit.” The noise Satoru makes is definitely a giggle. “So I’m not good enough to overcome my own tragic flaw? Ah, well, no one can be perfect. I’ve been suffering for my beauty all my life.” “What flaw? Also, I think I’m particularly susceptible.” Suguru then follows Satoru’s instructions, slowly taking the two of them through the motions. “Like this?” Satoru grins brightly. “Yeah! So? Am I right or am I right?” They’re standing so close. Suguru inhales the smell of their sweat and Satoru’s fruit soda excitement. “You’re right.” He presses a hand over Satoru’s ribs just for the pleasure of feeling him breathe in and out. “We should do this more often. I wish…” Satoru dips down until he can press his nose behind Suguru’s ear. “What?” “You’re here all the time, or I’m over at your place.” Suguru shakes his head, laughing at his own sentimentality. “It’s fine. More than.” “Are you saying you miss me when we’re not together?” Satoru teases. His aura tastes of melon soda delight. “Not when I’m working, but the rest of the time, yeah.” Suguru pulls back to smile at him. “Sharing space with you is easy.” Satoru hesitates. They hang on that precipice for a long moment, watching each other. Suguru isn’t going to ask. It would be more fair if he did, but frankly, he’s scared of just how seamlessly Satoru fits into his life. How good it feels to have him close, to be able to look at him or touch him whenever Suguru wants.
Back to stsg witch AU for WIP Wednesday. I want to go back to working on it so badly! Unfortunately, the winter season fic is more time-sensitive and I'm busy for other reasons at the moment.

Hi, I came across your witch AU snippet, and I don't have any criticism to share. However, I did want to let you know that the texture added to the scene with the colors and movements are lovely to ingest as a reader. Especially since they set the scene apart from others of a similar style. I think you're doing great even if this isn't your most comfortable scene type. It definitely intrigued me enough to check through the rest of this AU.
Happy WIP Wednesday!
You’ve definitely made my WIP Wednesday happy <3
I’m so glad the colours etc. work in the scene. I was hoping this approach would add that extra texture, allow me to explore other aspects of the story, and give me something more comfortable to focus on. I guess cheating a little bit/writing with a safety net is the way to go.
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I really needed it. I hope the rest of witch AU doesn’t disappoint!

When he emerges after his own shower, Suguru is not surprised to see Shoko in their hotel room, trying to wrangle Satoru into position so she’ll be able to examine his injuries. Shoko came with them to Kyoto partly for exactly this--to continue making sure that the precious Gojo heir is healing well--and partly to help out with the curse’s victims. So far, she’s only been able to assist with an autopsy. “Geto, come here and hold him down for me,” Shoko says, filling the room with smoky amusement. “I need to take a look at his leg.” Satoru scoffs. “Suguru would never betray me like that.” Suguru grins, slow and predatory. He and Shoko exchange glances, understanding each other without words. Then they pounce. Suguru combines a controlled tackle with a tickle attack, which gets Satoru on the bed, shrieking and kicking like a madman. “Stay still or I’ll sit on you,” Suguru says once Satoru’s giggles die down. He blows damp hair out of both of their faces. “It’s not a betrayal if it’s for your own good, by the way.” “It is when you side with Shoko over me,” Satoru gasps, either because he’s still catching his breath, or because Shoko has gotten her paws on his thigh, and her hands are always cold. “You owe me the best kikufuku you can find after this.”
A very short snippet from witch AU this WIP Wednesday, because I'm sick and haven't been able to write or edit very effectively.

“You need to do your oldschool detective schtick,” Satoru says, still rubbing his leg. Suguru wants to do it for him. As much as they touch, reaching out to each other constantly, he always wants his hands on Satoru’s skin. Suguru doesn’t think he’s ever felt so covetous of anything else. And Satoru knows. He must know. There’s no way Suguru has managed to hide this when his aura floods with adoration at the most innocuous of prompts. Defeated, he picks a spot he can’t see--under the bed they’re resting on--and pulls at the hidden stores of magic that make up a part of his soul. Dragon jumps up onto the mattress moments later and immediately settles against Satoru’s side, purring with the subtlety of a lawnmower. Satoru laughs, sinks his fingers into the cat’s white, fluffy fur. The touch ripples across the very core of Suguru’s being, unfairly soothing for how many boundaries it crosses. “You’re helping,” Suguru says, as sternly as he can while a piece of his soul preens under Satoru’s attention. He grabs the thick file folders from the desk, full of information about the case, and begins spreading them over the empty bed. “Use your big brain for once.” “Well shit. With that kind of encouragement, I’d better.” Perhaps sensing Suguru’s momentary weakness, Satoru summons his own familiar, a slick black cat with purple eyes. Six takes a moment to brush up against Suguru’s shins, then retreats to one of the pillows. It’s funny that the cats not only look like their human counterparts, but also behave similarly. Dragon, clingy and obnoxious, sticks close to Satoru’s side, big blue eyes unblinking. Probably it says something about Suguru, since it’s his familiar. And Six’s behaviour should be a reflection on Satoru. Suguru has his theories about why the cats act the way they act. He’d rather die than speak them out loud.
Another witch AU snippet for WIP Wednesday. It's from a pre-time skip story that I've been sitting on for months now, but can't post.
I've realised that part 8 is going to be a lot longer and more complex than I thought, and I absolutely need to have it fully drafted before I publish any further stories in the series, in case I need to sneak in foreshadowing or adjust some things. So it might take me a little while.
In the meantime, I'm planning a little something for the 7th of December and Christmas Eve.

By the time they’ve arrived, they are both drenched in sweat. The humid heat clings like an evil, suffocating wet blanket. Suguru is still distracted with the case files, so Satoru manages to slip into the bathroom first for a quick shower. When he emerges, in boxers and a thin t-shirt, Suguru’s heart lodges in his throat. Normally, he’d be mesmerised by the glistening skin and droplets of water trickling from Satoru’s white hair. Now, Suguru can’t tear his eyes away from the scars marring Satoru’s right thigh, the side of his throat. Satoru, of course, catches him staring. “Hey--” “Sorry.” Suguru looks away. Horrifyingly, his eyes prickle with gathering tears. “Sorry. I’ll be right out.” He goes to brush past Satoru and into the bathroom. “No.” Satoru grabs him by the arm, jerks him back a step. “You don’t get to look at me like I’m fucking--I don’t know. Broken. Then run away! Stop being a coward and just--” “I’m sorry.” Suguru can’t make himself meet his gaze. It’s enough that he can taste Satoru’s too-hot caramel discomfort and burning pineapple hurt. “I’m trying. I know you’re--” He waves his free hand restlessly. “Okay. I know that.” “Great! So act like it.” “I don’t--it’s not as easy as just deciding to do that. For the longest two hours of my life, I thought you were dead, so--” “So you’re gonna treat me like I’m weak just because--” “No!” Suguru faces him, finally, sees the reddened skin around his eyes. He wants to shake Satoru until he sees reason, and he wants to kiss him until he forgets what it means to be hurt. Suguru gives into the urge to touch, curling his fingers in Satoru’s collar, knuckles brushing against scar tissue. “No. You’re the strongest person I know.” As if to prove Suguru’s point, Satoru bridges the gap between them for real, wrapping his hand around Suguru’s wrist, skin to skin. “It’s easier to be strong when you’re here to back me up.” Suguru almost gives in. Almost lets himself drown in those blue eyes, almost leans in to see whether Satoru’s aura tastes different right at its source. Suguru wants to cradle Satoru close and explain to him that Suguru’s trauma has nothing to do with who Satoru is as a person, and everything to do with the shit they’ve both gone through. That Suguru would love him weak, but hopes, for Satoru’s sake, to never know what that’s like. “I am here,” Suguru says instead. “Maybe I’m the one that’s weak, you ever thought of that? Since I haven’t been able to shake this like you have.” Satoru recoils a little, eyes round and wet. He doesn’t let go. “That’s stupid. It’s like you said--no one’s helping us with this shit. We’re on our own. But that’s fine, right? Who else would we need?” His hope is always so ephemeral, spun sugar melting into nothing on Suguru’s tongue in seconds. Suguru hates the world so much in this moment, he feels like it’s going to spill out of him and stain anyone who touches him. It’s a struggle to transfer the ugly feelings to his familiar, Dragon, and keep his aura free of whatever incriminating colours and shapes Satoru would be able to see. “Yeah,” Suguru says, meaning it. “We’ll handle it.”
A snippet from a prequel fic in the stsg witchcraft AU. I'm a little unsure about the characterisation here, but the AU is a softer one, without all the violence of canon, so hopefully it makes sense that Satoru and Suguru can't hide their feelings from each other/pretend their feelings away as easily as in the manga.

“Did you really ask me, knowing I have to refuse, just to bait me into getting Satoru to do it instead?” Shoko grins, entirely unrepentant. “Think of it as a test. I called him twice and sent him twelve texts. Let’s see how quickly he replies when it’s you.” Suguru doesn’t want to do it. If Satoru is ignoring Shoko, there’s probably a reason for it, regardless of what she may think. It’s baffling how even some of Satoru’s oldest, closest friends fall for his act. Or maybe Shoko sees right through it, but isn’t willing to put in the effort to try and get Satoru to be honest. Suguru can’t blame her. It’s taken him eight years to accomplish it. He shoots Shoko a look. “You think he’ll come running.” “Like a dog, yeah. Come on, Geto, it’s not just for fun.” He has no rebuttal. Potentially improving a young witch’s life is exactly what both he and Satoru stand for. Suguru could do it himself, but with his innate talent, he would need to get in close. No way to hide his presence while hovering over the kid, especially if he’s under the protection of experienced mentors. With a defeated sigh, Suguru pulls out his phone, texts at Tsumiki’s with Shoko. she wants you to take a look at a patient, and waits. He doesn’t even have time to pocket his phone before it buzzes. It’s nearing three in the morning. “He’s on his way,” Suguru says. When he fails to sound smug or triumphant and lands on weary instead, Shoko’s expression dims. “Hey. What are you moping about?” “Systemic injustice. Show me where Kokichi’s room is. I’ll see how close I can get without tripping any alarms.” Turns out, not very close. Suguru tugs on one of his gauges--his most powerful luck and protection charms--and gets zapped with a jolt of magic just as he’s about to turn a corner. Shoko walks into his back and bounces off, huffing. “The fuck?” “How close are we to the room?” “It’s not even on this floor.” “Oh, that’s great. I can’t be here.” He heads for the back exit, straining his senses for any other signs of danger. Once he’s safe in an emergency staircase, Suguru texts Satoru to let him know he’ll be waiting in the car. Satoru shows up about thirty minutes later, slipping into the passenger seat with a tired sigh. He’s dressed in a suit, which is rare for him and therefore deserving of appreciation. “Did Shoko chase you out or something? What did you do?” Satoru asks, grinning. He pushes his glasses up to the top of his head and leans across the console for a kiss. “You look good,” Suguru murmurs against his lips, holding him there by the nape of his neck. He presses his nose into Satoru’s cheek, just for a moment, then pulls back. “I sensed very strong ‘it’s a trap!’ vibes, so I got out of there just in case. Did you drive here?”
A snippet from witch AU for WIP Wednesday. I've been stuck working on something else and I miss this verse badly.

Satoru’s workshop is separated from the front of the shop by an appropriately witchy bead curtain. The heavy wooden table on which he prepares charms is positioned strategically so that he can see the counter, the entrance, and most of the shelves through the wide doorway. He handles orders that have been piling up for a couple of days while Megumi deals with walk-ins. Shadow is a white bunny today, sitting so still on the counter that he looks like he might be taxidermied. They work in silence. Things have been a bit tense since Tsumiki’s reappearance. Satoru tried talking at first, which got them absolutely nowhere, so he figures it’s best to give Megumi some space. Satoru puts the finishing touches on a protection charm he’s working into a silverware set. It’s going to neutralise most allergens, while also helping with less serious ailments like reflux or indigestion. Shoko should be the one handling an order like this, but she’s had her hands full recently with minor injuries striking people seemingly at random. The few hours she spent in Satoru’s guest bedroom might be the only real sleep she’s gotten all week. Satoru gently deposits the silverware into a cut crystal bowl filled with mountain water and fresh herbs, wipes his hands dry, and joins Megumi up front just as the boy flips the sign by the door from open to closed. “You up for takeout, Megumi? I have a craving for burgers, personally.” “No, thank you.” Megumi collects his books--he likes to do his homework while the shop is quiet--into his bag, then picks up Shadow. “I’m not like you, Gojo-sensei. You don’t need to make sure I remember to eat.” Truly, Megumi is an old man in a kid’s body. This used to only be true sometimes, but since the beginning of Tsumiki’s hospital stay, Megumi has become even more responsible. He studies hard, never misses a shift at the shop, takes care of his and Tsumiki’s apartment, and has Shoko send him regular reports on his sister’s condition. He hasn’t beaten up a single punk in over a month. It’s concerning. “Can’t I spend time with my precious apprentice?” Satoru shakes his head sadly. “It’s like you don’t love me anymore.” “I’m here every day. You take up a solid eighty percent of my social life. What more do you want?” “That’s just sad, Megumi. You need friends your age.” Megumi puts his jacket on with aggressive efficiency. “I get together with Yaga-sensei’s apprentices every month. I meet every requirement we’ve agreed on, so please respect it when I take time for myself.” He stomps out of the shop, but closes the door gently. The lock snaps shut on its own.
Another sneak peek at the next present-time part of stsg witch AU. I'm slowly getting back into the rhythm of writing in this verse.

Once again, a snippet from my stsg witch AU:
“What would you be if you weren’t a witch?” Satoru breaks the silence, tone idle but with an obvious trace of curiosity. “You mean for work?” Suguru thinks about it for a moment, and comes up blank. He can’t imagine himself doing anything else. “Uh. Something as similar to being a witch as possible? What do you think I’d be?” “A cult leader,” Satoru says immediately. “All that charm has to go somewhere.” Suguru very deliberately does not react in any way that may be suspicious. He radiates gentle amusement. “You’re so funny. What about you?” “I’d be a teacher.” That is absolutely not something Suguru expected. “Really? I didn’t think you like kids that much.” Satoru’s hand comes into view as it waves vaguely in the air. “Kids get really fucked over all the time. You notice how many cases involve them?” “They feel strongly about things,” Suguru reasons, recalling a book he’s read once that touched on the subject. “There are theories that it’s about the importance of experience. Adults are dull, you know? They’ve seen a lot, they’ve done a lot, little is new and exciting to them. But to kids, everything seems big and important. It makes them vulnerable.” Satoru is silent for a long moment, fingers still in Suguru’s hair. “You’d be a great teacher, too.”

“If, to save someone’s life, you needed to make them suffer, would you do it?” “Ugh. You know I hate questions like this.” Suguru smiles helplessly. “Yeah, I know. You’re kind just because you are, while I need to think about it.” “Pfft. I’m the least kind person around, ask anyone.” “I don’t need to ask anyone. I know you.” He punches Satoru’s shoulder lightly. “Which is why I know you’ll indulge me. It’s the last question, I promise, but it’s important.” “All of them are important, Suguru. That’s what makes them scary.” Satoru pushes his glasses up his nose, covering his eyes. “Doctors do things that hurt in the moment, but are better for you in the long run. Shoko’s treatment is pretty shitty to experience, you know? But I don’t think she’s wrong to do it, or that you’re wrong for forcing me through it.” He makes a jerky, expansive hand gesture. “Does that help? You’re making me suffer through this conversation, so I hope whatever you’re after is worth it.” Suguru closes his eyes, smiles, and nods. It does help. He, too, hopes it’s worth it. “Yeah. Thank you, Satoru.” “That’s it? That’s all I get?” Laughing, hoping he doesn’t sound hysterical, and that his aura isn’t betraying him too badly, Suguru grabs Satoru around the middle and lifts, spinning him around. He presses his face into Satoru’s shirt--soft, because he’s always particular about fabrics, and smelling faintly of fried chicken. Suguru could kiss him. It’s not the first time the thought strikes him, and likely not the last. “Okay, okay!” Satoru’s laughing, too. He presses his hands to Suguru’s shoulders in search of stability. “I’ve been thanked, you can put me down.” He makes no move to free himself.
It's still WIP Wednesday somewhere in the world, right?

“I’m fine.” He is. Suguru knows exactly what he has to do to free himself of the constant, unbearable thought spiral he’d fallen into for a while. Now that he’s decided on his next steps, his mind is blissfully quiet. “Exactly. We’re fine, so stop looking at me like I might disappear any second.” Satoru gets out of the elevator and limps down the hallway. He still moves gingerly around the limits imposed by his injuries, and the sight of it fills Suguru with boundless, directionless rage. Even his new conviction doesn’t help. Yet Satoru pays it no mind, eager to move on from their failure. He’s been spending all of his free time researching more powerful protective charms and reading up on Gojo divination rituals. Suguru understands. Satoru needs to feel in control again, powerful and safe. It’s unfortunate that his method is to create an illusion of untouchability around himself, while the clans continue to make his life miserable. It’s alright, though. Satoru doesn’t need to handle everything by himself. Suguru is here, too. He catches up to Satoru in front of the victim’s door. “I’m allowed to look at you.” “Any time you want,” Satoru agrees. “But be normal about it.” As if to demonstrate, he gives Suguru a once-over over the rims of his glasses, biting his lower lip. Suguru pushes him away by the cheek. Gently. “Focus. Put on your polite face.” “Why? That’s what you’re for.”
Another snippet from the stsg witch AU. Possibly the last part set in their youth.

“Hey, I gotta know. Is your cult a death cult?” “No, Satoru, it is not.” “You sure? Because the residuals I saw when I visited one of the places you held a meeting…” “I’m not making these people kill themselves, or each other.” Satoru waits him out, content to listen to the ambient noises of the train. “…Or anyone else in a way that could be traced back to them.” “Suguru.” “Satoru.” Suguru’s tone is mockingly sweet. “If I tell you, you will feel obligated to stop me.”

When they undress, Satoru runs his hands over the neon colours trapped under Suguru’s skin. They’re easier to look at in the dark, with the magic softer around the edges, its colours diffused and blending into each other. It’s still surreal to see snaking, twisting patterns on nearly every inch of Suguru’s arms and legs, his torso. Satoru presses greedy fingers to the burst of yellow over Suguru’s pec, the splatter of blue stretching from his armpit to his hip. So many colours and shapes, shifting slowly under Suguru’s skin, glowing brightly enough that Satoru can see every curve and ridge, every mole and wrinkle. It’s so overwhelming that Satour nearly misses the large, X-shaped scar, stark even after all these years. Suguru must feel him hesitate, because he takes Satoru’s hand and presses the tips of his fingers to the centre of the X, on his sternum. Their eyes meet. Up close, Satoru knows he’s at a disadvantage. He can only see snatches, not the big picture; Suguru can taste everything. “Anything you can think of, you’re allowed,” Suguru says, breathless but painfully casual. Like it’s a normal thing to say. “Just don’t hurt yourself.” Satoru wants to laugh. He shakes with it, but no sound comes out, and it’s too pathetic even for him, so he wraps himself around Suguru and topples both of them back onto the bed. It’s a long fall. A stretch of weightless anticipation—of exhilaration—then pain. The breath gets knocked out of Satoru, and he finds his voice, wheezing, suddenly filled with so much joy he can’t contain himself. He rolls from side to side, ignoring Suguru’s protests. It turns into a tussle. Satoru laughs, too loud in the dark, until Suguru slots their mouths together and swallows the sound. It’s a lot, all of it, on the edge of too much. Satoru knows it’s because of his talent, the way the magic under Suguru’s skin strains his eyes, magnifying every other sensation. Satoru can’t look away. This might be his only chance to see. He pushes Suguru back, just a little, just enough to watch his own fingers press into skin that glows with colour. If he squints, Satoru thinks he can see the magic reacting, shifting under his hands. He wonders if… His mouth is on Suguru’s bicep before he can properly finish the thought, teeth digging in. It doesn’t taste like anything, but there’s a tingle in Satoru’s lips, his tongue, not unpleasant. “Ow?” Suguru sounds amused, but his aura is almost black, blocking out the world around them, like nothing else exists right now. Deaf to anything Suguru might be saying, humming at the gentle tugs on his hair, Satoru sucks on the skin between his teeth. He blows on it when he pulls back, earning himself goosebumps and a shiver from Suguru. Satoru watches, fascinated, as a different colour rises above the neon hues, this one ruddy, beautifully mundane. The insane impulse to cover Suguru’s entire body in it crashes over Satoru, and he makes a noise he’s never heard himself make before.
Another snippet from stsg witch AU. It’s been a really long time since I’ve attempted anything even mildly spicy, so I am struggling. Constructive criticism is welcome!

When they are in bed, Satoru wraps himself around Suguru’s back, sticking his face into dark hair and inhaling greedily. He might have a little bit of a scent kink. There’s just something so incredibly grounding and comforting about the familiar scent of a beloved person. Satoru thinks he could pick out Suguru out of a crowd by smell alone. “Shoko compared you to a dog once, and I’m starting to think there’s something to it,” Suguru says, amused and fond. Satoru just pulls him in tighter, presses closer against him. He doesn’t know how to explain that right now, all he wants is for him and Suguru to meld into one being, so they’ll never have to be apart again. If Satoru had less self-control, he would bite into Suguru’s shoulder to taste him, and then--he’s not sure. It scares him, sometimes, how gruesome his thoughts become when he feels a little desperate, a little vulnerable. It’ll pass, though, and he’ll settle back into the easy intimacy Suguru has always been able to build between them. It’s passing already. “My familiar’s a cat for a reason,” Satoru mumbles. “You don’t think you have husky energy? They’re independent, wilful, and make a lot of noise.” “Dogs bite, you know.” Suguru laughs, turning his face into the pillow to muffle the noise. “That a threat or a promise? You can bite, Satoru. I’ll just bite back.”
In light of recent events, here's a snippet from an unpublished part of witch AU 🐶
