Sorry I’m just so interested in this and riverclan… I’m guess grassfeather is part of the group that went against storm star in the first book for Sunningrocks what’s is riverclan be like with leopard under control and about the two fractions of river
Don't apologize, I work best when people are asking about this world - makes sure I'm not forgetting things :D
And yeah, Grassfeather sided against Stormstar citing his interclan relationship with Willowbreeze and the resulting death of his kits (barring Silver) as a sign that he wasn't fit.
And for a while it's a Cold War. It's mostly having to tell the other side twice to ensure that orders are followed through, cats being held back from Gatherings to prevent them from spilling secrets and generally snobby behavior
When Tigerclaw came along, it came as Leopardshine's supporters being blocked by Grassfeather's faction from saving her and only Mistyfoot was able to break free and keep her from drowning over and over.

I wonder how that conversation between tallstar and leopardfur went?
Stormstar ended up delivering the message to Leopardfur/Leopardshine and a few cats who had similar builds e.g. Goldfin.
Leopardshine is actually incredibly uncomfortable with the realization of what could've happened to her and sometimes wonders if it was what killed her siblings despite them being too young for it to present.
Leopardshine intends to ask Fireheart more about this during the next Gathering after she rounds up everyone with similar pelts.

Tigerclaw really said “yeetus” didn’t he
He just grabs Leopardstar by the scruff and said “yeet”
Tumblr media
He's big enough to do it to lmao - he just chucks her into the water and acts like everyone else are the Weird Ones XD

Tigerclaw throwing Leopardshine/star's body into the river
Tumblr media
XD He was basically throwing a tantrum with the whole, "throwing her into a river" thing. Leopardshine and Tigerclaw are apprentice-hood friends - Leopardshine actually considered him her best friend

Did tigerstar take all of leopardstars lives? That seems unrealistic. I know it happened to him with scourge but that was a big climax moment and only possible because of scourge knowledge on how to kill and reinforced claws
No no, he killed her once then threw her into the river so she'd be coming back to life underwater. Leopardstar loses two lives but by the time she's recovered, Tigerclaw is holding the queens, kits and half clan cats in the ShadowClan camp to keep the remaining RiverClan cats from rebelling and posted guards to keep her from just walking back in.
Also drowning is so much worse than some people will make it out to be. Truthfully, if it wasn't already my plan for Mistyfoot to fish her out and go begging to ThunderClan for help, I could very easily say she died nine times that way.
A leader breaths in as their first act after being revived - what do you think happens when they breathe in repeatedly underwater with no help? Also Leopardstar still has some drowning related trauma and would likely panic, making the situation worse.
TLDR; No he didn't take all nine of her lives but drowning a leader damn well could absolutely rock them
Also Scourge took all 9 of Tigerclaw's lives completely by accident. Theoretically, any injury of that severity would take all nine lives. He was slit from throat to tail so at most, StarClan could seal it like, an inch at a time. For example, I'm not sure StarClan can actually heal a snapped neck and I'm almost convinced that going for the throat as a killing blow on leaders is a like, form of a respect. So that killing a leader is a battle ending signal rather than a completely tragic one.

I guess leopard was looked down for not being a diver huh
It was one of the things Leopardpaw used to vent to Tigerpaw about. By now she's more than proved herself a capable fighter but many traditional warriors still lowkey talk about her being a LeopardClan marked warrior not using any of the gifts of their god.

The Cats of RiverClan: Leopardstar
Name: Leopardstar, Leopardshine
Meaning: Honorable and Distinctive
Identity: Cisgender Molly - She/Her
Orientation: Lesbian
Rank: Leader
Former Rank(s): Hunter Head, Deputy
A sleek golden furred molly blessed with LeopardClan’s rosetted coat with amber eyes. Leopardshine has as powerful build- her pads and nose are brick red. Leopardshine has a torn right ear and a slice across her nose.
Leopardshine was born to Brightsky and Mudfur- the only survivor of the entire event. Her siblings were still born and only a short while after her birth, Brightsky finally succumbs to a combination of blood and dehydration. Due to her rossetted pelt and the hopes that her ancestors would give her strength, she was given the name Leopardkit.
Being a miracle kit, Leopardkit was coddled and praised by the older warriors of her clan, consistently encouraged for her every forage into warriorhood. This gave her a bit of a big head- something that increasingly alienated her from her den mates. Frustrated with Leopardkit’s arrogance, her nest mate Skykit attempted to drown her during one of their swimming lessons. Though Skykit was firmly punished and was even held back one moon from becoming an apprentice, the damage was done and Leopardkit had developed both a fear of water and a distrust for her den mates.
Though Skykit felt bad about her actions, Leopardkit remained cool to her for the rest of their nursery time and a significant portion of their apprenticehood. Even though Blackkit had nothing to do with the incident, she distanced herself from him too.
Leopardpaw was apprenticed on time at six moons old to Whiteclaw but stubbornly refused to participate in any training activities involving the water. She became easily one of the best ground hunters that RiverClan had but it became very clear that incident she had as a kit had never left her mind. Furthermore, as she was coddled Leopardpaw hadn’t learned to swim either.
Leopardpaw met young promising apprentice, Tigerpaw at her very first Gathering and found a kindred soul in him. He, too, was the sole survivor of his litter with only one living parent. She expressed her frustration with herself and her inability to swim to which Tigerpaw comforted her and tells her that his mother says that the bravest warriors are the ones that overcome their fears.
Feeling cheered and encouraged, despite her fear Leopardpaw makes a genuine effort with water based training for a moon and is relieved when her mentor neither teases her nor seems frustrated by her. Leopardpaw eventually becomes capable of practicing water-based attacks and fishing although she never truly becomes comfortable in the water.
Leopardshine eventually earns her warrior name and reconciles with Skyheart and Blackclaw though it’s clear to anyone watching that she’s not truly forgotten the incident. She’s devastated about the death of her close friend Sunfish and takes on her son as an apprentice in honor of her.
She remains close friends with the now named Tigerclaw despite the struggle between their clans. Although sometimes they argue, Leopardshine considers him one of her best friends- especially after the death of Sunfish. Though she’s worried about his growing ambition and the increasing malcontent she’s getting from him during Gatherings, she’s sure that Tigerclaw’s only blowing off steam and encourages him to be patient and soon, they’ll be deputies together and protect their respective clans. She’s a tad confused Tigerclaw’s ever-increasing reminders of the promise they made upon Sunfish’s death- that when they’re deputies together, they’ll solve the Sunningrocks issue once and for all.
Leopardshine no longer thinks she knows who Tigerclaw is. After the attack on a ThunderClan patrol in which she heard him threaten the lives of their clan, she’s wondering if he’s the same cat she knew from the Gatherings. Her best friend appears to have changed a lot and even though he’s now ShadowClan’s leader, she can’t help but fear that he’s completely done with everything he once claimed he believed in - including her.
She’s torn between pleasure and frustration at finally becoming the leader of RiverClan. Stormstar was a kind and gentle cat, she’s never been afraid of telling him the truth and being honest about her feelings and opinions - he’d left quite the legacy for her, with his final major being to finally secure a working relationship with ThunderClan that allowed both clans access to Sunningrocks. Out of respect for her deceased leader, she took on Stormpaw - his daughter’s son - as her apprentice despite his parentage as a show of support to Silverstream. She can’t exactly stop the whispers and scathing remarks from her clanmates towards the molly but she can at least privately show her support.

Leopardshine actually being nice? Who would have thought
She's mellowing out lmao - in this world, Leoparshine was being dick as a combination of entitlement, starvation and grief. She redirected her emotions at the most convenient target which just happened to be poor Graystripe and Fireheart.
With a full belly and a decent amount of time from the death of Whiteclaw, she's actually not too bad XD
