In IKNBS, how do you think Copia would react to his s/o being a witch? What would his thoughts on it be? I am loving your fics btw!
First of all thank you so much!!! ♡♡
And I am sorry but I'm honestly not sure how to answer this in a satisfying way because in IKNBS Copia has one specific partner who is a painter and not a witch in that sense of the word. I wouldn't want to imagine him with anyone else, not for that particular universe, so I have never thought about any other dynamics really...
If we're talking about what he would do if 'strella was a witch.... I assume you don't mean the dark magic aspects of the story but modern practices of witchcraft? It's hard to say because as you've seen in the last chapter she has some very particular trauma in that regard and in my eyes would not want to touch it again. She had her whole life taken away from her which (at least she assumes) is because of her dabbling in magic as a child. I cannot see her practicing witchcraft of any kind thereafter.
In the IKNBS AU (I will call it that now) magic exists, the ghouls are shadow-y beings summoned from the pit and sorry if this is another spoiler now but paranormal beings and activities are happening outside of the abbey as well as we just saw in the latest reveal. So I think witchcraft would look a bit different than for us. I cannot see a world or AU in which he would not support his partner or even find it fascinating to help them or listen to them teach him about it, though! ♡

Okay so I just finished Androids of Tara and… it’s a mixed bag. There was a part of me that was pretty excited about it, because it’s the first Classic Who story that I hadn’t seen before! And it’s not a well-known story, so I didn’t have any spoilers, so I really didn’t know what was going to happen. However, on that note…
So the Androids are just not in the last part? I thought that the whole thing with ‘George’ would have built up to something but no he’s destroyed at the end of episode 3 and not mentioned again
On the subject of build up, Lamia has this whole thing of being in love with Count Grendel despite knowing he’s an arsehole and him manipulating his feelings for her… and then she dies and so not really resolved. Great.
I was also a bit confused with why Grendel didn’t just kill the King and marry Princess Strella in the first place (once the coronation thing failed). Since apparently she is the only other person with a claim?
And people were certainly not that surprised to see her considering that she had been missing for years!
Also Strella and the King are 100% cousins, since she’s from the royal line of Tara and all… which is a bit well, ew
The beast was completely pointless and looked terrible, it just felt like it was there so that there was a ‘monster’ in the story. A problem Doctor Who has had since the 1970s (despite its reputation, there are actually a fair few Troughton stories with no ‘monsters’)
Romana gets kidnapped a lot in this doesn’t she? Sigh. Oh well, at least she was the one who rescued Princess Strella
Isn’t it funny that both Romanas look like Princesses?
The ‘good’ guys aren’t really that good are they? Like the blond guy just wants to kill something, including the Doctor. And honestly I don’t get why the Doctor bothers helping them except as a means to an end (finding Romana and the key segment). Which I suppose it is, but it isn’t really portrayed that way.
Ugh, I was pretty annoyed that Grendel lived. Especially since Lamia the peasant died. Mind, that is typical of a lot of media – working class minion dies, upper class leader lives.
Grendel was so obviously evil, how the hell had he already not been arrested? I feel like it should have been better shown that Grendel had a tight control of the army (maybe have them accuse him of capturing the King and it achieves nothing, just so it’s addressed)
Grendel was also pretty creepy, I dunno. He just made me uncomfortable at points.
I did like some things, which actually makes this more annoying. I actually thought the world and the concept was interesting. I love medieval settings, so mixing that with sci fi is cool. The outfits in this serial are gorgeous! I especially loved Romana’s outfit, that apparently Mary Tamm designed herself so that’s cool.
This was really a story that had a good idea but really needed some re-drafts.
