Members need rest? Chan knows best!
Words: 4.4k Lee(s): Skz Ler: Channie
Chan laid back after the cruel hours of idol work, feeling his bones turn to mush under the comfortable mattress. The fans had been swarming him like bees to honey the entire day, and don’t get him wrong, he loves stays as much as the next member, but it was tiring to deal with it continuously. A soft smile grazed his face tiredly, finally slipping away into dreamland after what felt like an eternity of staring at the ceiling who glared back at him, courtesy of insomnia.
Then he heard it.
Loud screams of excitement rang through the halls like a fire alarm, making his ears ring. Apparently although the leader was more than done with all the shenanigans he had been through for the day, his members weren’t, having more than enough energy to spare. He closed one eye temporarily, hoping the members would get the hint when the oldest didn’t exit to join in. Alas, they were clueless, only making the noise grow in volume as what sounded like Hyunjin and Changbin arguing rang throughout the halls.
Slamming open his room door, he glared daggers at all 7 kids, who stopped right in their tracks at the long pang of the wood slamming against the wall. The daggers were a cold sting to their heart, making the kids cower into a corner with fear as the oldest grew closer. He sighed, he didn’t want to instil fear into his children whenever he was upset, it hurt to see them on the verge of tears as if he was going to tear them apart limb by limb.
And that’s when he thought of it.
“10 seconds, go hide.” He whispers without context, relieved when the members slowly come undone from their bundle, which he thought was adorable, maybe he would scare them more often. They all looked up at him in confusion, eyes glistening with what he didn’t know were tears or happiness that they weren’t going to die, making his heart melt when he found himself being looked up upon by 7 curious puppies. However, all fun comes to an end, he was meant to punish them after all. He didn’t respond, only counting down slowly, either way it made the kids shriek and run to hide, even if they had no idea what was going on.
If they couldn’t sleep when needed, Chan would ensure they were tired enough.
Trekking along the halls, he hummed a soft tune that echoed eerily throughout the halls, a warning call to the hiding children. He smirked, all of his exhaustion replaced by the desperate need to find all of his children, by hook or by crook. The first kid he found was of course his first child, hiding under Chan’s own bed. A scream of surprise ensued before Jisung was pulled from under the bed by his feet, a very tickle hungry leader looming over him.
The quokka babbled and pleaded for mercy, silenced in an instant when Chan pressed his lips right onto his ribs, blowing as hard as he could as his fingers travelled into his armpits quickly, kneading and massaging the middle. Han absolutely lost it, cackling and shrieking as he tried to squirm away to no avail with the oldest sitting comfortably on his waist.
“ARGH! HYUHUHAHAHA! I’M SOHOHOHOR- EEK!” Jisung tried his best to beg, but a squeal of agony left his mouth when Chris decided on nibbling onto his ribs too, his teeth sinking into the soft flesh between the bones before vibrating his teeth gently there, sending the younger to see stars. He stomped his feet onto the floor desperately, begging for release as tears of mirth streamed down his face, decorating his chubby cheeks.
“Learned your lesson? Now go to bed.” Chan strictly told him, though it wasn’t as intimidating with that wide smile, admiring his kid that panted and wiped at his tears. Jisung nodded enthusiastically, not wanting to experience another round of that torture, it was absolutely ruthless. He didn’t know his hyung was that rough, retreating back to his room, feeling bad for the other members.
1 kid down, 6 more to go.
“Where are my kids hm? I promise I won’t be too harsh if you come out now…” He feigned innocence, singing his words. He turned his head, facing the cat den that was Minho’s room. Usually anyone entering that den was prohibited, even Chan himself, who got quite the harsh scolding from the younger when the older was caught snooping in his room. But he knew he was hiding there, using his kitty privileges to his advantage. He barged in, and lo and behold there he was, resting comfortably on his bed as if Bangchan wouldn’t know of his safe haven.
“W-What are you doing here?! You c-can’t just- AH!” Minho’s scolding which was merely a ploy to hide his anxiousness, not really hidden with the stuttering he was doing. The older simply lunged at the cat without hesitation, letting out sweet Aussie giggles as he wrestled the bunny down. It wasn’t that much of a fight, seeing how he was the second strongest in Stray Kids, easily pinning those arms high above his head, seated nicely on his plump thighs.
“You were saying, cutie?” Chan giggled lowly when the bunny’s face burned a bright red at the name call, Lee Know would never get used to those compliments no matter how many times the older one did it. He kicked under Chris’s hold, trying to lodge himself out of the weight placed off of him. All was well until Minho felt fingers drum onto his lower belly, the fabric of his tank top doing absolutely nothing to protect him.
“Nah ah~ You had so much energy to wake me up right? I’ll tire you out just fine.” The oldest tutted before sinking his fingers right into the younger’s v-line, kneading all too close to his hips and thighs. A piercing shriek left his mouth before he descended into witch-like cackles, his hands weakly pulling at the fingers that invaded his waistline, even with his shirt it felt like they were vibrating right onto his weak spot.
“ARGH! HYUHAHAHA! NAHAHAT THERE! PLEA- NOO!” Another shriek left him when he felt hair brush along his ear before teeth sunk into his neck, nibbling along the pudgy skin that gathered under his ear. Stamping his feet he begged and squealed for mercy, slamming down his chin to his collarbone to block out the head, hands tugging at the fingers that wouldn’t stop kneading his skin, it was all futile. Until tears were soaking his shirt collar, which didn’t take long, he was released from his prison. Minho panted and gasped for air on the bed, curling up into himself. Chan didn’t even have to tell him to sleep, the younger’s eyes closing and promptly falling asleep.
2 kids down, 5 more to go.
Quietly creaking the door shut to the cat’s den, he snuck around the rooms, eyes eventually landing onto his soulmate, none other than his Aussie bro, hiding snugly in a cupboard. Rushing over, he pulled the chick out, more concerned at the weird angle the blonde was in, back following the curve of the cupboard, creeping him out. He held Felix high in the air with his hands under Lix’s underarms to hold him there, inspecting for injuries. The younger sighed, hoping he had forgotten all about the punishment. What a fool he was.
Once ensuring the chick wasn’t injured, Chan gave him a disappointed and knowing look. The sunshine had a terrible habit of doing anything that he could to win or hide, sometimes it was quite the danger. Too bad for Felix, it just added onto the list of reasons on why he should be punished. The sunshine looked genuinely upset at that look, frowning as he slumped under the leader’s arms, whispering a sorry under his breath.
“You’ll definitely be sorry.” Before the sunshine could retort a question of confusion, he felt a mushroom of hair slip under his shirt, lips attaching to the top of his abs, settling on one of the packs near the ribs before blowing harshly. He shrieked, falling into loud, squeaky hysterics as his feet wiggled fruitlessly under the older. He couldn’t move anywhere besides twisting and turning to the side, which only made the sensations worse. Oh how Felix majorly regretted waking Chan up, he was pinned high in the air unless he could pull himself up, which was not possible with the tight grip that held his waist high up.
“PLEHEHHEASE! NOHOAHAHA!” Felix howled with laughter when it in fact didn’t stop, the older’s lips delicately brushing along the younger’s abs before blowing on each pack harshly, before he was face to face with his navel. The sunshine could feel the warm breath that blew into it, making him giggle nervously as he looked down to plead for mercy.
“W-Wahahait! I-I’m sohohory! I wohohon’t do it ahahagain- NO HYUNG!” Felix collapsed when Chan began to nibble along the rim of his belly button, shaking his head both in denial to stop and to rub his fluffy hair along the victim’s tummy, making him squeal. Felix went limp in Chris’s hold, unable to push at his head, only kicking his feet out and shaking his own head as he begged for it to stop. His throat grew hoarse, vision blurring up with tears as he saw the light itself.
Maybe he actually did, because the next thing he knew he felt himself being laid down, seeing his own dreams within seconds. He wondered if he had passed out, only realising that he had fallen asleep the moment Chan had stopped, and was cradled and tucked into bed without another word. He smiled softly, maybe the leader wasn’t as ruthless as he thought, continuing his sweet dreams calmly.
That was 3 kids down, 4 more to go…
Not long after the leader had gone chicken hunting, he immediately found a chick’s predator, a fox. The fox hibernated peacefully under blankets and pillows, making Chan squeal like a school girl at the adoring sight. His heart melted with cupid’s arrow pierced through it, approaching the youngest quietly not to disturb him. As much as he favourites the maknae line, he was hungry for tickles, and he was going to get them all like Pokemon.
“Baby? Are you awake?” A soft whisper coaxed the youngest out of his slumber, yawning that made Chan want to kick his feet absolutely everywhere while giggling. Jeongin nodded slowly, still dazed from being woken up from his slumber. Hands wrapped around his waist, pulling him into a tight cuddle under the sheets. They laid in silence for a good while, Chan almost forgetting what he was here for having the cutie in his arms.
Almost.
“Are the scars on your face still there?” Chan murmured softly into Jeongin’s ear, seemingly out of the blue. They both shuddered at the memory, but swallowing his nerves he could feel the nod in the darkness of his room. And then came a sniffle. Chris squeezed the other’s waist tighter, consoling his insecurities that welled up deep in his heart. He needed to comfort him, and needed it now he did.
So why not kill two birds with one stone?
Chan gently pressed his lips to the skin of the younger’s scars, trailing his lips softly over the rough skin. He smiled when he got a soft squeak and sweet giggles in return, his hands that once laid protectively over his waist holding his hands down, ensuring there was nothing to hide that smile.
“Hyung! W-Whahaha!” Jeongin’s words were cut off with another squeak when fingers traced delicate shapes and hearts into his sides and tummy, along with the persistent loving kisses that rained down onto his scars. His cheeks soon turned a bright red, flustered out of his mind that his gentle loving did wonders to himself, not wanting to admit it. There came no response, only a soft hum that vibrated in ticklish motions along his skin, before continuing his chaste kissing all over his scars.
“Plehehease it tickles so bahahad!” He squeaked out meekly, squealing sharply when teeth nibbled and lips kissed along the back of his ear, close to his neck. Not many people knew, but the members more than often took advantage of that sensitive patch of skin, whenever they did so much as go close to that spot, shoulders automatically scrunched up to protect himself. He fell into high pitched cackling, trying to turn around to no avail with Chan’s hands tight around his torso that bonded his arms together.
“HYUAHAHHA! NOHOHO!” He kicked out beneath the tight cuddles, shaking his head when he realised any attempt to leave was completely futile, left to suffer as so under the hands of the leader. Chris simply cooed, whispering compliments through nibbles and kisses that made Jeongin feel like his face was on fire. Only when he felt Jeongin go limp eventually was he released, cuddled properly to sleep before the oldest slipped away, like a shadow in the night’s sky.
That was 4 kids down, 3 to go.
Sneaking away into the puppy’s enclosure now, he scrambled and turned the room upside down, eager to find Seungmin. His search was fruitless, no signs of any puppy baby being in the room. Or so he thought, when he found the child’s legs peeking out from what he initially thought were a normal bundle of clothes. They didn’t move, nor breathe at first, leading Chan to think he might’ve had a hard time breathing in there, instantly activating his dad instincts.
Grabbing the puppy’s feet, he dragged him out, seeing a red faced Seungmin. Well at least he was right to think he struggled breathing, letting Seungmin catch his breath calmly as he waited. He wasn’t a monster, despite his ruthless attacks he didn’t want to go overboard after all, only seeking to tire his babies out. Once done, he securely headlocked the younger’s feet high in the air, a panicking Seungmin on the floor as he tried to sit up to get his feet back to no avail.
“D-Don’t! If you do, you're old!” Seungmin threatened with a hiss, though Chan knew behind those walls his heart was tugged down by embarrassment and anticipation, and boy was he going to take that to his advantage.
“Still wanna talk back like this hm?” Chan hummed, his fingers descending on one of the willing soles to trace gently along it, under his toes, to his arch then his heel, and repeating. The puppy screeched and giggled like a maniac, not hysterically but it felt so ticklish, so so ticklish with all the anticipation that welled inside his heart. He was lying if he said he didn’t deserve this, but it was torture!
“I-I’m sohohory! Plehehehase dohohon’t tease mehehe!” Seungmin pleaded desperately, unable to take the soft scratching up and down his soles for any longer. It drove him just as crazy as normal tickling, though he would’ve much rather had that than whatever torture method this was.
“You wanna be tickled? Okay!” Chan bubbled enthusiastically, before his manicured nails went haywire onto his bare feet, scratching along any surface of the soft skin he could find. Seungmin shrieked as loudly as he could before descending like those fingers into hysterics, tugging at his feet as his hand pounded into the floor. With the added anticipation along with those nails that felt horrible, he was driven ballistic, it took less than a minute before tears streamed down his face.
“I-IT’S SOHOHO BAHAHAD! PLEHEAHAHAHA! HYUHUHUNG!” He thrashed, tried to kick, arched his back but nothing released himself from the head lock on his feet, begging for mercy that was granted once he saw that Seungmin looked on the verge of passing out, sweat falling down his forehead like it was the most intense workout he’s ever had. Chan smiled sweetly in contrast to the torture he’s putting his children to, kissing away the tears on the puppy’s cheeks before carrying him like a bag of rice, plopping him down and promptly tucking him in.
“Sleep, or else.” Chan’s tone was strict, dripping was threats as his fingers wiggled towards Seungmin one last time, eliciting a squeal before he went out to let him sleep.
That was 5 kids to go, now the last 2 whom he planned the most for…
He pondered where the loud duo could be, steps of his feet drumming against the wooden floors that creaked sullenly when he walked. He entered the art room, a quiet wave of serenity washing over him the moment his feet touched the marble floor. It was silent here, a barricade keeping out the noises that crashed Hyunjin’s focus whenever he tried to make art sealed shut, letting his hands dance over canvases when his feet weren’t on the floor.
Smiling softly at the peace of the room, he snapped his head at the sound of pencils drawing smoothly onto the canvas. Was Hyunjin seriously drawing? A pang of guilt shot through his heart, he’d hate to ruin the ferret’s drawing with his want to punish him, he loved their passion in their respective hobbies, enjoying admiring them in their field of strength more than anything.
Which is why he set up a trap.
Holding a paintbrush in his hands, he tapped gently onto the wall, and almost in an instant a pair of ferret ears peeked from the wall, crawling over and inspecting Chan, as if a cat finding something interesting. The older chuckled softly, letting the analysis happen without a worry, he looked very much adorable this way anyway. Eventually the older got bored, scooping the artist up without a word and planting him onto the bed of the room, where Hyunjin mostly slept when he stayed up late at night.
“You argued quite loudly with Changbin, and now you act like you don’t deserve punishment?” Chan scolded, but the smile he wore was much less intimidating. Grabbing his wrists he pinned them high, high above his head, stretching out his shirt to reveal his tummy entirely. The younger visibly panicked, babbling pleas of apologies as he watched the paint brush he was so curious about draw closer to his tummy. Shaking his head, he was begging on his knees, or lying down, for this not to happen.
“Since you were drawing, how about I draw for you?” With that, Chan attached his lips to Hyunjin’s stomach, blowing long and torturous raspberries all over. Hyunjin shrieked, his sensitivity hitting new peaks as he stomped and cackled.
“ARGH AHAHAHAH! I CAHAHAHN’T TAHAHAHKE IT!” Hyunjin squealed out desperately, trying to pull his arms down from being held like ropes up to head, unable to do anything but thrash like a fish out of water. Chan grumbled when screeches filled the air, maybe he should’ve just ended it at Jeongin. But no matter, there wouldn’t be anymore screeching soon enough.
Lifting his lips from the tortured tummy, Hyunjin panted and gasped for air, pleading for mercy as he pulled at his arms, putting out his lower lip to make him look all the more miserable. Unfortunately, the judge did not rule in his favour, as right then he felt the paintbrush dip into his navel, painting delicate strokes that made him shriek before cackling like a maniac, digging his heels into the bed.
“OHOHO MY GAHAHAHD! MAHAHAKE IT STAHAHAP!” He cried out, going absolutely crazy as if he had lost his wits, much to Chan’s fun. He enjoyed seeing the drama queen being himself, wanting and craving more laughter for his ensemble of a punishment. He knew that the ferret would tap out soon, but those flushed cheeks and crinkled eyes made it hard to resist.
“One last finale…” Chan stuck his lips onto Hyunjin’s side, blowing as hard as he could. A scream loud enough to wake up the entire dorm rang out before it turned pin drop silent, Hyunjin silently begging for mercy as his throat turned hoarse and quiet. The older’s canvas was finished, letting him go as he watched the artist curl up into a ball, giggling away the tingles. He tucked Hyunjin into bed, being careful not to touch him as he twitched in agitated motions from how hard he was wrecked. Leaving the second last room, he ventured out, tickle hungry enough to say he was starving for his last victim.
6 kids down, now for the last one, he’d be saving the best for last.
Humming a soft tune, Chan spins around the halls gleefully, his mood to wreck his children increasing by the second. It put his nerves on end, sent his heart pounding and heightening his senses. He practically flipped the dorm upside down trying to find the last child of a rapper, nowhere to be found. Just as he heaved a sigh of frustration and stomped his feet with a pout, a squeal came from the chick’s coop, a squeal he knew anywhere else.
Bolting and barging right into the brownie boy’s room, he swung open the door faster than lightning, face to face with Minho’s babies, wrestling on the pillows. His eyes met Changbin’s in an instant, boring holes that went straight through the rapper’s soul, sending a chill down his spine. Believe me when I said he dashed out as fast as Chan came in, squealing for his life as a ravenous Chan chased him down.
Unfortunately, the dwaekki was caught almost as soon as he left, hoisted up into the air and slumped onto Chan’s shoulder as if he weighed air. As they trekked into Chan’s bedroom, Changbin squirmed and thrashed, trying to pull away the hands locked around his waist.
“You made me suffer. Through. All. That. Finding. You are so. So. Getting. It.” Chan emphasised his firm point, each full stop he made containing a poke somewhere on the younger’s body, from his ribs to his sides, then his back to his hips, it made Changbin squeal loudly with each poke. Thrown on the bed, the oldest took the sweater he originally intended to wear to sleep before he was disturbed, now tying Changbin’s hands above his head, making him whimper in fear.
“Since you made me go through all that finding, I’ll tell you exactly what I’m going to do to you. First, I’ll scratch these nails into your ribs, right into the crevices while whispering sweet compliments into your ear, not to mention blow wind into them. Then, I’ll knead your hips gently, not enough to make you hysterical but you’ll buck like a wild bull. To keep you down, I’ll nibble along that cute pudge of your tummy, I just bet it’ll be unbearable to you. But too bad, it won’t stop till I feel that I’ve had enough and don’t feel hungry. Aw~ You blushing?”
Chan cooed after meticulously plotting and spilling his actions that would be happening to the poor rapper underneath, whose face and ears were already on fire before anything even happened. He shook his head desperately, digging his heels into the bed as the cat fiddled with his tongue, unable to get words out. Anticipation was killing him, the thought of being told exactly what was doing and having the thought of cackling himself silly drove him up the wall. He shrieked when Chan merely placed his hands underneath his shirt, the warmth of his hands making him burst into sweet high pitched giggles, eyes crinkled shut with a dimpled smile.
“What a cutie~ Haven’t even touched you yet and you’re so giggly? Isn’t that just the sweetest…” The oldest might’ve been a tad bit sadistic for being so cruel, but he was hungry for that laughter, especially after all that searching.
“Pl-Plehehehease! I-I’m sohohohory!” Changbin meekly begged, unable to take the tendrils of anticipation that drove him crazy before any fingers or lips got the chance to wreck him silly, what an embarrassment.
“You want me to wreck you? Want me to wreck you badly?” Chan cooed sweetly with an innocent smile, masking away his sinister intentions as a squirmy Changbin only got redder in the face, nodding timidly. He smirked, he loved getting his way.
Diving his head under Bin’s sweatshirt, he did exactly what he set out to do, teeth settling onto the pudge of fat that lined his tummy before his v-line, going crazy with raspberries and nibbles onto it. His fingers drilled into his thighs, the inner section where the skin would clash the thighs together, switching between his nails scribbling up and down to squeezing it relentlessly.
To say Changbin went crazy was an understatement, a loud, shrill scream akin to Hyunjin’s left his mouth before he cackled himself insane, trying first to close his legs before they were open back up promptly, arching his back, but it only pressed that dreaded mouth against his bare skin more, forcing him to crash back down.
“ARGHAHAHAHAAH! YAHAHAHAA!” He couldn’t even get words out, only shaking his head as he tugged hard at the sweater, who suffered in agony from the sheer strength it was being tugged at, but didn’t relent to let his hands free. Chan chuckled slowly, mumbling against his pudge that made him squeal.
“Can’t even speak anymore Bin? How adorable.” Was all that left his mouth before he got busy on his tummy again, Changbin absolutely hated how his Hyungs knew exactly where to make him go ballistic, his fingers digging into his wrists in ticklish agony. His howling didn’t even make it to two minutes before it cut off, hoarsely but silently begging for mercy as tears streamed down his face like rivulets.
Chan let up, he wasn’t out to kill after all. Lifting himself out of Changbin’s shirt and untying him, he snuggled into Changbin’s hair, taking in the sweet scent of strawberries and kissing the top of his head sweetly. His hands did his usual routine of tracing those hearts into his cheeks, making the younger smile shyly through his greedy panting. They both fell asleep, both tired from hunting and being hunted.
At least now the members knew what was not to mess with now, especially at night when there was a tired chan in bed trying to sleep.

teamfight tactics (tft): a beginner's guide for stays
chan has been having fun playing tft during his lives recently and i know a lot of stays are unfamiliar with it so i wanted to put together something in case people wanted to understand the game a bit! also basically everything i know about tft is just from watching streams or videos about it so this guide is super simple and won't explain how to play or win 😅
first is to clear up that tft is different from league of legends! it's a spinoff game made from the same company (riot) and the champions in tft are from lol. since they're both under riot, you use the same account to play both tft and lol
you can play either on pc or mobile. chan has mentioned he plays on mobile (when he was saying he never even uses the chat function since he plays on his phone).
the basic premise of tft is that you create a team of champions (aka units) and fight 7 other people's teams. you start with one unit and can level up to put more on the playing board.
this is the starting carousel to choose your first champion, which also comes with an item. this picture only has one player, but normally there are 8! (so all of skz can play together haha)
this is an example of what the board looks like on mobile! there are a bunch of things on it, but i've labelled the ones most important to know. the pc version is similar, but has even more info displayed on the screen at once
tft is an auto-battler game which means you just place the units on the board and you don't control them while they fight. the main things you can control are:
1. what units you have
2. what items you put on each unit
3. placement of units
when choosing your units, there are different synergies you can create based on the type of unit and these will give you things like extra speed, damage protection, etc. on the side of the screen, you can see how many units are needed to get the benefit of the synergy
there's a store to buy different units. if they don't have the units you're looking for, you can use gold to reroll and change the units available. you can also buy xp to level up and put more units on the board (normally your level corresponds to the number of units you can put on, so level 1 means you can have 1 unit, etc). units can either be 1, 2, or 3 star (3 is the strongest) and you can level them up by buying more of them. three 1 star units of the same champion will combine to make a 2 star unit, and three 2 star units will combine to make a 3 star unit. this screenshot shows the pc version of the store.
next are the items you can put on the units. they have a lot of items and you an also combine them to create better items!
once you have the units you want and any items on them, it's important to position the units. some units are better for close combat or defense and some for long range.
before each round, there's time to move units around, buy more, and put on items. then the combat round starts and you pray your team does well, then celebrate if they win and cry if they lose
at the start of the game, each player has 100 hp. when they lose a fight, they'll lose a certain amount of hp depending on the damage dealt and how many enemy units are still alive. at 0 hp, you're out of the game. after each round, you can see who won ✅️ and who lost ❎️
there's also strategies for win or loss streaking bc you will get more gold after each round for consecutive wins/losses. also if you have certain amounts of gold (based on increments of 10) then you get interest and can earn even more gold
tft is super complicated and requires a lot of strategy and knowledge so i consider chan a big nerd (affectionate) to have platinum ranking and play it for stress relief. i'm so glad he was able to get his account back and i've been having a lot of fun watching him play it!
anyway that concludes my very bad and very simplified guide on tft basics! there is lots that i didn't mention and also lots i don't know so i'm sorry if i got anything wrong and feel free to correct me
#i hope this is helpful#and not too confusing#but tbh tft is pretty confusing at first#which just proves chan is a genius#i'm so happy he plays it during lives now#i love that he's so comfortable during channie's room#and it's so fun to see him this excited#you can tell he enjoys it a lot#thank you riot for giving him back his account#even tho it shouldnt have been taken in the first place#also some of the pictures are sooo blurry and super big#bc they're cropped screenshots lol#chan#bang chan#skz#stray kids#channie's room#tft#teamfight tactics#bang chan playing tft#tft for stays

Reign of Lies: Chapter 1 (SKZ Royal Fantasy AU)
Author: thestayway90
WC: 2873
Warnings: None
Characters: Stray Kids OT8 Royal Family, Alexis (OFC), Elora (OFC)
Relationships: Changbin x Alexis (OFC)
Summary: An angsty Royal AU where Alexis (OFC), as her fathers only daughter and therefore the kingdoms only Princess, is sent to marry a Prince of their rival Kingdom to ensure Peace. However, after arriving at her new home, Alexis quickly finds out not all is what it seems…
Author’s Note: Hello lovelies! Did I start another series even though I’ve already got one still ongoing??? yes yes I did...
But in my defence I've had this idea sitting for a while and finally got round to doing something with it!!! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
Also a side note this will contain SKZxSKZ relationships... obviously these are written for fanfic and not based on reality so please don't take them seriously... this is all just for fun and entertainments sake :)
I’m a little nervous about posting this one but enjoy <3
Alexis straightened her skirts nervously. Her outfit felt heavy and suffocating in the warm sunlight that streamed through a large side window. The climate was so much warmer here than the cooler weather she was used to back home.
Elora stepped in front of her, deft fingers fixing Alexis’ collar as she told the older girl briskly, “Walk in there with your head held high and show them what you’re made of.”
Alexis smiled down at her sister and best friend, grasping one of her hands tightly. “What would I do without you?” She asked rhetorically as Elora took a step back, staying on Alexis’ right where she would always be within sight.
“You would be a mess,” Elora replied unnecessarily in a deadpan voice, drawing a surprised laugh from her sister.
Suddenly the double doors in front of the two girls was flung wide open and a herald bellowed loudly into the large space behind. “Princess Alexis, Duchess of Vitova and Alzilicia, beloved Daughter of King Tobias of Mava.” He took a breath then continued as the girls took their first steps through the doorway. “And her companion, Lady Elora.”
Alexis concentrated on not tripping over her cumbersome skirts, keeping her eyes on the floor until she reached the foot of a set of stairs that led up onto a low platform.
Pausing at the end, she sunk into a low curtesy, seeing Elora copy the movement in her peripheral vision, and finally looked up.
She sucked in a breath, wobbling a little in the curtsey she was still holding, as her eyes swept over eight imposing figures ranged around the front of the room.
Standing proud in the centre was who, she imagined must be, the King she had heard so much about. King Chan didn’t look as imposing as his reputation would suggest, an easy smile gracing his lips, his black hair cut short and shockingly coloured a bright ruby red on top.
Standing slightly back from his right shoulder was a man with the sculptured looks of a statue, and to the kings left stood four boys, who Alexis assumed were the Kings younger brothers, the Princes of Roalun. Alexis let her eyes linger on the four figures, wondering which one was Prince Changbin, her soon to be husband.
Finally her gaze fell on two boys, standing to the side of the platform, her eyes widening as she took in the most beautiful people she had ever seen. One was tall and lean, long blonde locks falling over his forehead, partly covering intense liquid brown eyes. The other was shorter with a petite figure and silvery blonde hair that seemed to shine even in the shadows he stood in. But it was his eyes that drew the most attention. One was such a dark brown that it looked black, the other, in stark contrast was a shockingly bright light blue. The pair made such an achingly beautiful sight that Alexis had to advert her eyes but couldn’t stop herself continuing to steal glances in their direction.
Alexis straightened from her curtesy and, heeding her sisters advice, held her head high, fixing the King with an unwavering gaze.
To her surprise King Chan smiled even wider at her and launched himself down the stairs, wrapping her in a tight hug when he reached the bottom.
“Welcome, Princess Alexis. The Kingdom of Roalun is so pleased to have you here at last.”
The King pulled back and kissed her on both cheeks.
Alexis startled a little, feeling unbalanced as she replied slightly stiffly, “Thank you for the kind welcome, Your Majesty.”
“Oh none of that,” the King scoffed, waving a hand at her. “We are soon to be Brother and Sister. Chan will do just fine.” Chan motioned for the five boys still up on the platform to join him.
He grabbed the sculpted man first, pulling him to his side and wrapping an arm lovingly around his waist. “Let me introduce you to my Husband, Prince Minho.”
Minho inclined his head, his feelings hidden behind his cool expression. “It’s wonderful to meet you, Princess Alexis.”
“Just Alexis please,” Alexis insisted, getting the feeling that this court preferred a less formal approach to their Royalty.
“And these three are my baby brothers.” The boys grimaced at the title, none of them looking even close to being babies. “Prince Jisung, Prince Seungmin and the youngest, Prince Jeongin.”
Alexis’ eyes drifted over the three very different brothers but her gaze settled at the last boy, standing silently, head bowed.
“And this is Prince Changbin, Heir to Roalun and your future spouse,” Chan introduced so casually that Alexis fought not to wince at the informality.
Changbin finally looked up, bowing low to her. “It is a great pleasure to meet you, Princess. I hope your time here will be agreeable.”
Alexis felt her heart drop at his distant but polite distant tone. His greeting made it sound like she was only visiting for a holiday, not moving to a completely foreign kingdom to become his wife.
Before she could speak to him at all, Changbin gave her another quick bow and then turned to Chan. “I really must be going, brother. The Generals are waiting for me.”
Chan’s brow creased into a frown but he nodded his consent. Changbin retreated at a brisk pace, Alexis watching after him in confusion.
Chan cleared his throat. “Unfortunately my brothers position as the Head of Military keeps him very busy.”
Alexis smiled and nodded her understanding, hiding her consternation behind what she hoped was a polite bland expression.
Chan then beckoned to the two boys still standing to one side. “And these two fine gentlemen are my brothers, Lord Hyunjin and Lord Felix.”
Hyunjin groaned in a dramatic voice, rolling his eyes as he approached. “You know how I hate being introduced as Lord, Channie,” the tall blonde complained. He reached over and grasped one of Alexis’ hands, placing a quick kiss onto the back of it, smiling crookedly up at her. “I’m so happy to meet you, Alexis. I’m very glad to finally be adding some femininity to our little family.”
Chan glared at the inappropriate words while Alexis struggled not to turn and look at Elora as she heard the other girl suppressing laughter.
Alexis concentrated her attention back on the King. “I thought you only had four brothers?” She questioned unthinkingly, her curiosity around the weird dynamic of this foreign court getting the better of her.
Chan gave a loud bark of laughter, pleased at her straight forwardness. “Hyunjin and Felix’s father was my father’s best friend and advisor. When their parents passed away my father took them in as his own. We’ve spent our whole lives together.”
Alexis turned her eyes on the two brothers, Felix having joined them, standing silently next Hyunjin. “I’m very sorry for your loss. I didn’t mean to pry.”
“It’s fine. Ask away,” Hyunjin said flippantly, waving his hands around airily. “This is to be your family as well. You have a right to ask about it.”
“Talking about family,” Alexis turned and beckoned Elora towards her, grabbing hold of the younger girls arm and holding her tight against her side, relieved at her solid presence. “This is my sister, Lady Elora.”
“Just Elora please,” Elora interrupted, shaking her head at the formal title.
“Lovely to meet you, Elora,” Chan said, smiling widely at Alexis’ sister, putting Alexis at ease.
Alexis immediately felt favourable towards anyone who treated Elora with kindness and respect. The younger girl had too often received scorn and distain from others, making Alexis very protective of her sister.
“I’m sure you are tired after your long journey,” the one called Jisung spoke up, clearly picking up the signs of exhaustion that both Alexis and Elora was exhibiting. “Should I show you to your rooms now so you can have a rest before dinner?” The kind boy posed it as a question, not wanting to impose on them.
“If His Majes…” Alexis stopped herself and continued pink staining her cheeks, unused to such informality. “If Chan does not mind us being excused. A rest sounds wonderful right now.”
Chan frowned a little, concern creasing his brow. “Oh dear. In my excitement I forgot what a long day you’ve both had. Of course you may go, please. Go rest and we can talk more over dinner.”
Chan gave both Alexis and Elora tight hugs before Jisung beckoned for them to follow him out. Alexis and Elora curtseyed to the royal family and then exited the throne room, feeling much more relaxed than when they had entered.
Jisung chatted amiably as he led them through a maze of corridors before stopping in front of a pair of large doors. Alexis looked at the masterpiece in front of her in awe as she heard Elora’s quiet exclamation of amazement.
Jisung had a smug look on his face. “Do you like them? They were specifically made for you. In fact the whole room was specifically decorated for you.”
Alexis felt her heart constrict at the startling act of thoughtfulness that she hadn’t expected when being forced into an arranged marriage in a country at war with her own.
The doors were painted a solid gold with beautifully ornate pearl and turquoise inlays making up intricate patterns of flowers and animals. Alexis raised a hand to brush against a perfect depiction of a peacock with full plumage proudly of display.
“He heard you liked animals.” Jisung’s voice pulled Alexis out of her reverie and back to the present.
“Who heard?” She asked unthinkingly, still in awe of the artwork that was simply the entrance to her rooms.
“Changbin of course,” Jisung said matter-of-factly, reaching over and pushing the doors open. “The inside is all Hyunjin though,” the boy continued as he stepped inside, Elora following close behind him.
Alexis took one more moment to admire the first sign of consideration that she’d received from her future spouse, before following the other two inside.
This time the opulence before her made Alexis’ jaw drop and eyes widen in shock, as she turned in a full 360 to try and take in every detail surrounding them.
The colour palette of the door was continued into the rooms, gold, pearl and turquoise hues mirrored throughout the furnishings and decorations.
They were standing in a large sitting area, the ceiling draped in gold and white cloth, a large brazier of gold hung from the ceiling dripping strings of pearls that sparkled in the late afternoon light. The chairs were large and comfy, their brilliant turquoise upholstery offset by gold trim. A low table stood before a fireplace, surrounded by multicoloured floor cushions and covered by an intricately embroidered table runner that depicted brightly coloured scenes of animals found in Roalun. Through a set of white shuttered doors to her right, Alexis could see an absolutely enormous fourposter bed draped with beautiful hangings of sheer gold and turquoise.
But what attracted Alexis attention the most were the doors directly in front of her that were flung wide open giving an unobstructed view of the outside. She walked over, feeling like she was in a haze, out onto a large balcony, pressing up against the railing as she took in the view.
As the Palace was built strategically at the top of a hill, the city of Epiris was laid out like a tapestry below her, extending down the slope until it hit the bank of Lake Lilies, continuing to spread along the lakes edge on either side. The lake was a breathtaking sight, glistening in the sunlight, large enough that you could barely glimpse the other side. She could see from her position the place where the Mairis River flowed into the lake and immediately took in the two garrison towers on either side, brows pinching when she remembered exactly why she was here.
“Beautiful isn’t it?” Jisung said as he came to stand beside her. Elora was still inside, already starting to unpack their trunks, always happier when things were in their proper place.
“It’s stunning,” Alexis agreed, closing her eyes for a moment and basking in the sunlight. They stood in silence for a moment, Alexis feeling slightly bewildered with how comfortable she was already feeling in her new home.
“Can I ask you something?” Jisung sounded hesitant. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t feel like it.”
Alexis opened her eyes and looked over at him. He now had his back towards the view, leaning against the railing as he fixed her with a serious look.
“Sure.”
“Did you have a choice? About coming here, I mean?”
Alexis considered the question for a moment, her silence making the other boy jittery.
“Not exactly,” Alexis finally answered. “I’m sure if I had put up more of a fuss, the King wouldn’t have sent me, but I’m also pretty sure if I’d done that he would’ve renounced my title, leaving me with no prospects and no way to keep Elora safe.”
Jisungs expression softened, pity shining in his eyes. “Not really a choice then,” he commented softly.
“Not really, no,” Alexis replied, giving him a small smile. He returned it with one of understanding, making Alexis wonder what non-choices had been given to him and the close-knit family around him.
“You know we didn’t even know Roalun had a Princess until Chan told us about you coming to marry one of us,” a voice chimed up from behind them, making both of them spin around in shock. Jeongin, the baby of the family, stood in the doorway, his face openly curious.
“Jeongin, you can’t just walk into other peoples rooms,” Jisung berated his younger brother, looking ready to throttle the boy.
“The door was open.” Jeongin shrugged slightly, not seemingly bothered by the scolding.
He fixed his gaze back on Alexis. “Are you really a Princess? Because I learnt in History that King Tobias only had sons.”
Jisung whacked the younger boy over the head. “You don’t ask questions like that you dimwit!”
“It’s okay. He should know if I’m to be his sister-in-law,” Alexis consoled the embarrassed elder boy.
She turned her gaze back to Jeongin. “My father is the King but my mother isn’t Queen Lillian. My mother is her sister, Lady Edelyn, the former Duchess of Vitova and Alzilicia. The Princes are my half-brothers. The reason you didn’t know that Roalun had a Princess is because up until a month ago there wasn’t one. Although the King had claimed me as his daughter, I was still only a Lady, one day to be Duchess of my mother lands. However, when the King saw an opportunity to seal the Peace Treaty with Roalun by connecting our two Kingdoms through marriage, he gave me the title of Princess and shipped me off here, and as my mother is dead there was no one to stop him doing it.”
Jeongin looked shocked, eyes wide as he tried to make sense of Alexis’ story. Jisung on the other hand didn’t look surprised, his expression empathetic, which made the newly made Princess feel a little bit better about exposing her complicated past.
“Does that make you a Princess as well?” Jeongin unthinkingly asked Elora as the other girl joined them.
Alexis stiffened, immediately shooting Jeongin a glare, even though she knew he didn’t mean any harm by it.
Elora grimaced and shook her head, quickly blurting out, “No, I will never be a Princess,” before quickly disappearing back inside.
Jisung slapped Jeongin over the head once again. “Idiot!”
“Wait, what did I say?” Jeongin was genuinely confused which made Alexis soften her irritation at the younger boy slightly.
“It’s a sensitive topic for Elora. Just leave it alone, alright,” she told him, a hand going to her forehead and her exhaustion finally caught up with her.
“If you don’t mind, I think I might go lay down for a bit,” she told the two boys, walking back inside.
“Of course. Someone will come and get get you when it’s time for dinner,” Jisung said, taking Jeongins arm and dragging him out of the room with him. Jeongin smiled widely and gave Alexis a cute wave goodbye before the door slammed shut in his face.
Alexis smiled and gave a chuckle at the cute boy, shaking her head as she went to check on Elora.
She found her sister already asleep on top of the covers of her bed in her own slightly smaller room. Her face was still scrunched in distress and Alexis reached out a hand to smooth the hair off of her forehead, Elora immediately relaxing at her touch. Sighing, Alexis grabbed a rug and covered her up, quietly tiptoeing out of the room and softly closing the door behind her.
Fighting to keep her eyes open, she stumbled into her own room and crawled into the massive bed, burrowing deep under the covers.
The last thing she saw before succumbing to sleep was the detailed picture of a Mountain Lion painted onto the ceiling of her room, the sparkling afternoon sunlight making it look alive.

KPOP FIGHT CLUB #6
Disclaimer: I do not hate these idols or know them personally. Nor do I have any intention of living out these scenarios. These are purely a work of fiction and imagination.
Challenger: Hwang Hyunjin (황현진)
Group: Stray Kids (SKZ)
Height: 179 cm (5’10.5″)
Weight: –
Reason: 1) So beautiful he makes me mad. 2) Flirts with other Stays when he should be coming home to me.
And...FIGHT! 🔔 🔔
> I can picture it clearly: I storm into the practice room after finding out that he’s been flirting with other Stays behind my back.
> He’d definitely look at me like he’s disgusted (you know the look)
> I can see him covering my mouth to shut me up.
> I’d pull his hand off of my face and then push his shoulder.
> He would immediately clutch his shoulder, stumble backwards and then fling himself onto the ground. (have you seen how dramatic this man is???)
> I’d probably start to complain about him being dramatic, only to have him groan out in “pain” every time I open my mouth.
> I’d eventually just leave him on the ground after I tell him to be home early, and that I’m not cooking him dinner.
> I’d...win? 🥇
Let me know who you think actually won.

Goodbye 2019. Hello 2020.
To celebrate the new year - which a lot of people are celebrating right now, I’m sure, unfortunately not me yet - I decided to create this post. I don’t know how to explain it but if you like kpop, keep reading!
My Top 3 Songs of 2019
1. SKZ - Miroh
This song got me into my now ult group, Stray Kids. Those 9 boys have honestly made this year 10x better for me. Chan’s VLives definitely helped me when I was upset, and the members made me feel emotions by their side. I’m so glad that add of Miroh appeared and I chose to watch it because I may have not gotten into Stray Kids without it.
2. ATEEZ - Wave
Again, another song that got me into the group. I heard the song in a video where they played huge jenga at Kcon... I think? Anyways, this song is another banger and you completely fall in love with it first listen. You won’t regret listening to this.
3. TWICE - Fancy
I got into TWICE when they released YES OR YES, but FANCY is the song that you can’t not fall in love with. I did on my 2nd listen and man, if you’re saying you didn’t learn the dance and bopped to this song, you are LYING because- let’s be honest - everyone said FANCY SOTY.
Groups I began stanning in 2019 its felt like forever tho
Stray Kids - March 26th. You think I would forget?
ATEEZ - August 18th. Another date I remember, because I spent a good 2 hours getting to memorize the members name and faces. Was so happy when I finally did it.
iKON - Honestly, I was more of a Double B stan since January until Hanbin left. I loved their songs but I never got to know the rest of the members, except for Jinhwan.
ChungHa - Snapping dragged me in. That’s all I gotta say. Although, ngl, Gotta Go was something I always tried to dance to.
KARD - Again, Bomb Bomb just pulled me into the fandom. The rest of their discography made me stay. I sang along to Bomb Bomb everyday for a good 3 months. It was honestly EVERYTHING to me and then Dumb Litty came and stole my heart and KARD did it AGAIN.
Mamamoo - gogobebe. Do I really need to say anything else?
GOT7 - I’m pretty sure I got into them because, well everyone knows GOT7. They’re a name everyone knows if you like kpop, so I just wanted to get into them. Eclipse and You Calling My Name are songs I’ll dance and singalong to in the right mood and right part of the song. But their personalities dragged me in. I’m pretty sure BamBam also attracted me when he was on Stray Kids reality show.
Day6 - Time Of Our Life. I decided to listen to it because Seungmin of Stray Kids was a big fan of them and I was like, it shouldn’t hurt to try. Seungmin made me want to watch and Day6 made me want to stay. They don’t make ANY bad songs.
Everglow - March 18. Listened to Bon Bon Chocolat when it came out, and I was honestly scared ppl were gonna sleep on them cause ITZY debuted a month before. Fortunately, everyone noticed their talent.
BigBang - I dunno just listened to one of their songs. And, of course, I fell in love. Too late to stan them while they were active, but I’m expecting something in 2020... just saaying.
NCT - All of the subunits. Honestly there were so many of them, I spent time taking tests to tell them apart. The struggle to stan these boys. Instantly fell in with the Dreamies. And then I found out they weren’t a fixed unit... My heart shattered. It’s still breaking because 4 OF THEM ARE LEAVING. or left. I dunno.
Tomorrow by Together - They were probably the most anticipated group of this year. I remember ppl hyping them up in October of 2018! Predebut stan right here. (I just remembered that I thought the preview of each member was coming out in age order and thinking that Beomgyu was the youngest. And I was just like WHERE IS HEUNINGKAI FROM?!?!)
ITZY - remember when everyone thought that itzy’s debut was rushed because info about them was leaked. yeah, i forgot too. anyways, again I was a predebut stan.
(G)- idle - i always listened to their title tracks and I began stanning them during Queendom after their Fire cover im listening to 2ne1 2015 mama fire performance rn lol.... omg bom’s han cover just started playing. spotify is watching me guys.
Somi - Birthday was a bop. fight me. outfits sucked, gotta agree with that opinion I didn’t rlly know much about IOI but I started stanning because Jenchu were fangirling to it i mean jennie twerked for it!
Jimin Park - I’m out here still streaming STAY BEAUTIFUL. honestly she’s so loveable. her personality and her voice are everything. how can you not like her
My Top 5 Groups of the Year
1. STRAY KIDS - A lot of the reasons I luv them are the same as ATEEZ. That’s why ateez are close to being my number one, but honestly these 9 boys are everything to me. 9 or NONE FOREVER. They have been through so much this year and I hope they STAY strong for 2020. In their 2020 seasons greeting they announced a full album next year, so I’m ready to follow these boys on their journey no matter how many stay or leave. I’m a STAY for a reason.
2. ATEEZ - PERSONALITY. I’m also a sucker for groups that shove their love for each other in your face. 8 makes 1 team, y’know? Hongjoong and Mingi are amazing rappers, Jongho, Wooyoung and San’s vocals tho, Yunho and Seonghwa’s deep voices are the death of me, and Yeosang dancing. They’re talented and luvable and that’s all I need for an ult group. also all their songs are bops
3. Mamamoo - Honestly would’ve tied with Twice but these I’m a sucker for them as ppl as well, and I need that to luv a group. they ain’t fake, they slap information in your face and they are POWERFUL WOMAN. (Not saying twice aren’t ofcourse) And these girls vocals are on POINT. Moonbyul is rapper material, but have you heard the girl song? What an angel. Their songs are all slaps, especially the most recent ones.
4. TWICE - This was their year? yes or yes. Fancy soty. Feel Special was a great title track, don’t get me wrong, bUT HAVE YOU HEARD THE FULL ALBUM. Every song is my AMAZING. omg rainbow is playing
5. NCT DREAM - These boys stole my heart, I only stanned nct because of them. Honestly seeing the 00 line leave breaks my heart.
My Top 5 girl group and boy group songs
gg songs were honestly so hard to pick, they thrived and SO many good songs were made in 2019. But here is my list.
1. Fancy - soty
2. Hip - this song was everything from the choreo to the song itself to the girls energy performing it
3. Psycho - came out like last week but it’s in everyone's top 10 of this year. Beautiful song that won’t get outta my head. getwellsoonwendy.
4.Violeta - this is another song that won’t get out of my head. honestly none of these songs will. ok so the final dance part after the drop of violeta pisses me off because the dance could is so powerful and that part comes and it’s such a disappointment but it’s the only part I can do so i shouldn't complain but the song itself is very catchy. I don’t want these girls to disband even if the votes were rigged because they make a good group and sing bangers. i don't want them to leeeave.
5.Lion - the song is just so powerful. other songs they’ve made are good, but the chorus is usually a disappointment because the pre chorus is so good but EVERYTHING is great about Lion. Didn’t like it at first for some reason, i dunno why, but once you give it a few more listens you’ll fall in love.
Now onto the boy groups. They made quite a few bangers this year as well.
1. Miroh - It’s my no.1 of the year. watchu expect?
2. Wave - and this is my no.2. Again, what else would I put here?
3. Run Away - what. a. bop. still can’t get out of my head. Crown was a disappointment to me after 1000 listens but not Run Away. A bonus is the Harry Potter references. With that I just was head over heels in love. Txt didn’t fail to disappoint with their comeback even if it was pushed back.
4. Boom - This song made me fall in love with the talent that NCT DREAM holds despite being so young. Sang along for a few months. Actually, it’s still in my head.
5. Make It Right - I was doing title tracks for all these but then I realised there has to be an exception because I just really like this song, especially the one featuring Lauv. Boy with luv wasn’t it for me but every other song on Persona is a straight up masterpiece (ok an exaggeration but u get what i mean)
Now onto the soloists (they’re all female, sry not sry)
1. Chica - I was debating whether to put Snapping or this but decided with Chica. Honestly the vocals, the song, the dance, the MESSAGE, is everything. I love it, it empowers woman, it makes ME feel good, and it’s what some people really need sometimes. So, thank you ChungHa.
2. Gotta Go - another bop by our queen ChungHa, she really ruled this year. I didn’t stan her when it came out but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do the ‘deulshi’ part whenever I heard it. iconic.
3. Twit - Again another iconic bop from this year. (i thought this masterpiece came out last year, i dunno why but it just is so 2018 for some reason? I dunno) Hwasa’s solo debut really was everything. So was Moonbyul’s which unfortunately didn't make it on the list but I would say it’s in between 5th to 7th for me.
4. Stay Beautiful - Such a beautiful song, it was a shame Jamie had to leave but she left JYP saying that they lost smth PRECIOUS and they would regret it and she conveyed all that in one song without hinting at it. So many quote worthy lyrics were in the song and it just bring up my mood and my standard for vocals. Don’t sleep on this girl, y’all.
5. Birthday - the song brought out mixed reactions from everyone but i LOVED IT. It did get a bit old but it’s still something you’ll find me singing along to every now and then.
ARTISTS THAT STOOD OUT TO ME THIS YEAR
1. Bang Chan of Stray Kids. I love him. He’s such a great leader, he’s a loveable person, he’s all rounded and he fucks up sometimes but he acknowledges it and fixes it. He went through so much shit this year and he deserves so much more. I, along with many other STAYs are gonna make 2020 a better year for him and all of his group. Stay strong Chan! But besides his personality his stage presence, his rapping, his singing, his producing, his energy, his personality, it all made him someone who was always on my mind.
2. Yeonjun of Tomorrow x Together. He’s also very well rounded and he really stands out to me from all the other 4th gens. Whenever I see a performance by TXT he always grabs my attention even when he’s not the main focus. I love his dancing, it’s very eye catching to me, along with his stage presence. He never loses his energy on stage and I expect a lot from him in 2020! His rapping and singing are amazing as well, especially for a rookie. Also when they first debuted he cried a lot, which was very heartwarming to me because idols showing emotion other than happy is something I appreciate, because it lets me remember they’re human too.
3. Seulgi of Red Velvet. She’s, again, very well rounded. I’m not really a Reveluv, but Wendy and Seulgi are vocalists who really stand out to me so those to kind of make me want to listen to Red Velvet’s songs. She’s an amazing vocalist, like words can’t express how much a love this woman's voice. Her stage presence is amazing as well, she’s just a really good performer imo.
4. Jihyo and Nayeon of TWICE. First of all I really like their personality and how powerful they are. Honestly a wink from them and I’m falling of my chair. Secondly, I don’t know if anyone's noticed but I really like powerful female vocals, and these two have extremely POWERFUL vocals. Have you heard them sing? Just... POWERFUL, that’s all I can really say to describe their voices.
5. Mingi and Hongjoong of ATEEZ. They are rapper that are gonna blow away the whole industry with 3racha, I mean they already have. Did y’all see their performance in MAMA. The RAWEST vocals I heard that whole show. They were obviously not lip syncing, you could hear Mingi panting and he didn’t rap a whole line, and I LOVE that because it is RAW and we need more raw vocals or atleast breaths heard when the artists are dancing because it makes the performance more REAL. also stage presence is amazing from these two, they really know how to hype up a crowd.
ROOKIE GROUPS I EXPECT A LOT FROM NEXT YEAR
sorry my expectations are high for them, but they have stood out tome so much and i couldn’t stand to see them flop.
1. TOMORROW X TOGETHER - they’ve been on this list quite a lot, and I really appreciate their individual talents along with them as a group. I REALLY want to see them improve and grow more next year because they were really pushed this year, being BTS’s juniors. I’m sure they were really stressed but I want them to become TOMORROW BY TOGETHER not BTS’s juniors. Probably won’t happen in a year but hopefully in the next decade.
2. ITZY - another group really known for theing the juniors of TWICE this time. The title tracks they released so far have all been listen to it the first time, you don;t like it, but listen to it the 2nd time and it’s stuck in your head for the next 7 months. Honestly if they keep going like this, it would be like a ITZY thing, and I honestly wouldn’t mind.
3. EVERGLOW - i think everyone just saw bon bon chocolat, gave it a listen, and loved it. but i also heard it was produced by someone who helped produce Crown by TXT and Spring Day by BTS, so there’s another reason ppl may have liked it so much. Adios wasn’t a disappointment at all. Of course, I would also love it if Everglow kept up the “nanana” thing in each of their title tracks.
4. ATEEZ - I don’t think they’ll flop at all next year. I know they just had their 1st year anniversary, but I wouldn’t mind a full album... either way, Imma stick with them because they’ve only released that good shit so far and I’m honestly expecting a somewhat mediocre song at least once in their career next year. Not expecting it though.
5. ONEUS - I haven’t’t talked about them yet but all of oneus’s title tracks are absolute gold. I am a mess for Valkyrie, Twilight AND Lit. They’re all just AMAZING songs. I mean, what did we expect from Mamamoo’s juniors but. They are REALLY good. Just go listen to all their title tracks rn.
And finally, wishes for 2020
- Of course, Wendy to recover after her tragic incident at SBS. Again, I hope she recovers well
- Mina to come back from her hiatus, only if she’s ready to, of course
- BLACKPINK FULL ALBUM. ROSE SOLO. PLEASE.
- Of course, 4th gen to thrive along with 3rd gen and 2nd gen groups
- A full album from stray kids (which was confirmed) and again, maybe for ATEEZ? just maybe?
- More attention for Mamamoo. They are underrated queens.
- Less hate for Tomorrow By Together. People bash them just because they’re BTS’s juniors. they would be praised a less but definitely not doubted way more if they weren’t under Bighit. Yeah, they get luxuries other groups won’t but that doesn’t mean people should degrade them for it.
And with that
I wish everyone a Happy New Year. May your next decade be filled with happiness and joy! omg fancy started playing
also i didn’t have time to properly edit this. then again i am a rambling blog, so what are you expecting?

↭ genre: mafia au; fluff, angst
↭ word count: 3.2k
↭ description: After being caught up in situations you didn’t want to be in, you vowed you’d never play hero again. But will your conviction hold throughout?
↭ a/n: whew it’s the first time i’m writing action and i’m not very good at it, but i hope it worked for y’all! x it’s just the first part and i’m not so sure how many parts i’ll be writing but do look out for it!! <3
↭ warnings: explicit language, violence (?)
Sitting at the back of the lecture theatre always had its perks; eagle-eye view of everything that was happening below, nap sessions whenever you needed it, and best of all, not being followed by two hundred pairs of eyes when you have to use the main door to leave mid-lecture because your bladder decides that it has reached its maximum capacity.
You settle into your seat and make yourself comfortable as students stream into the area; your heightened status making others seem like little ants. A few minutes in and you get bored of staring at unfamiliar faces, resorting to doodling flowers and stickmen on the first page of your clean notebook.
“Maybe I should have applied to be an art major,” you mutter to yourself, admiring your doodle when a voice speaks up from the left of you.
“You’d have to submit a portfolio during application and no one in their right mind is going to let you into the course.”
Rolling your eyes, you shut your notebook with a ‘snap’, turning to face the person who had the guts to insult your masterpiece.
“You’re one to talk, Mr. Seo ‘Shit Hands’ Changbin,” you scoff, taking a good look at the boy beside you, staring him down as he puts his bag onto the ground and takes his seat beside you. “You’re early to lecture today. That’s a first.”
"I can be responsible sometimes,” was the answer you received.
Seo Changbin—your friend from college whom you had the same classes with—never turned up more than necessary. He wasn’t what you would consider a close friend, who you shared insignificant feelings and problems to, but he was friend enough that you could complain about your lecturer’s horrible skills and terrible planning when it came to assignments.
He was also friend enough for you to be worried about the bruises that covered his knuckles and cheekbone. The colour of the bruises was a clear purplish-blue, indicating that he had acquired them very recently; most probably a day or two before.
“Are you alright?” you ask, eyes filling with worry as you run them over his bruises. “Those look nasty.”
Immediately realising that you had set eyes on his bruises, he turned his face away and hid his hand in his lap, letting out a quick “it’s nothing” before turning the pages of his notes—in hopes of making it look like he was busy studying the material—and you were smart enough to drop the topic as quickly as you had brought it up because it was clear to you that he didn’t want to talk about it.
With perfect timing, you hear the boring voice of your professor flood the lecture hall, making you sigh out loud.
“I swear, he has to be a siren or something. His voice puts you right to sleep but then he also tries to kill you because of it,” you say, hoping your lame joke was enough to extinguish the awkward silence that was hanging in the air between Changbin and you. And it worked.
It was only for a second, but you were sure you saw the corners of his lips lifting.
✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼
It was a Thursday night; which also meant that it was grocery night.
The only reason you chose to go grocery shopping on Thursdays was so that you could spend your Friday and weekends snacking and binge-watching your favourite shows without any unneeded movements. Thursdays were also the best day for grocery shopping because of the many sales the store was offering, to get rid of old stocks before replacing them with new items so that they can increase prices over the weekend. After all, you were a broke college student who was just trying to save money whenever you could.
"That would be 25.30." The cashier’s monotonous voice reaches your ears, putting robots to shame. Poor chap—he was probably doing a full day shift, dealing with snobby idiots and bratty children.
Usually, you wouldn’t have bothered when someone else was in a bad mood, but thinking of your favourite show that was waiting for you paired with a miraculous lack of assignments, you throw the cashier a smile and wish him a good night, earning a surprised glance from him. It definitely wasn’t everyday cashiers were wished a good day; usually people just tapped their foot impatiently, waiting to whisk their bags and leave.
Satisfied with the surprised look on his face, you collect your bags and walk out of the store, a bounce evident in your step as you swing your bags back and forth. With nothing else to entertain you for the 15-minute walk back to your apartment, you start to sing your favourite songs. Loudly.
Halfway through your self-concert, you start to take notice of the smallest things happening around you: It is a breezy night out; branches on trees swaying side to side freely with the trust that it was safely attached to the sturdy trunk anchored deep down into the soil. The wind combs through your hair as the stars twinkle brightly in the night sky, seemingly winking at everyone cheekily as they walk under them. The moon, seemingly irritated by the stars, illuminates the area brightly, causing the stars to disappear momentarily, but providing the people who were out on the streets with more comfort and a higher sense of security. Simply put, it is a beautiful night.
But while you were busy admiring the smallest things around you, you fail to notice that your beautiful night was about to be destroyed.
“So should I give up but really can I give up we live in a -” You’re abruptly cut off as someone roughly shoves you out of the way, causing you to drop your grocery bags, your groceries spilling out of the bag. You cursed under your breath when you realised you were just a few metres away from your home.
If only I had walked slightly faster... Maybe it’s time to hit the gym.
Just then, from the corner of your eyes, you manage to catch flashes of black running past you, each shouting incoherent words.
With the annoyance of being pushed out of the way so close to your home and seeing your groceries spilt all out on the road, you open your mouth to shout at the group of men when you finally grasp what one of the men was saying, causing your blood to run cold.
“I think he ran into that alley! Quickly, fuck, we’ve got to finish him today or we won’t get another chance to!”
Finish..... him?
You stand rooted to the ground as the words continuously echo in your ears. There was going to be a murder happening in the alleyway seven metres away from you and you were going to be the only one who knows about it.
The rational part of your brain was screaming at you to just walk straight ahead and into the safety of your home which meant that you were less likely to be murdered; but the other reckless part of your brain was tapping into the humane part of you, telling you that you would be as bad as the murderers if you left the poor soul alone without even trying to help.
Damn you, rational part of my brain.
With your mind clearly made up, you walk slowly towards the alleyway, gripping your grocery bags tightly so that the plastic does not create any rustling noises that would give away your unwanted presence. Sticking out your head as much as you could without being seen, you slowly take in the sight in front of you.
There were four men—who very much resembled heavyweight champions— crowding around a shorter man, who fell short by a large margin in comparison to the other four. His blonde hair blending in effortlessly with his pale skin, almost making it seem like he was emitting a glow in contrast to the dark alleyway. With the way you saw the four men cornering the smaller man, you knew that he stood no chance that night.
At the sound of the men’s voices, your ears perk up, trying to catch as much as you could.
“...Boss is going to be really happy...”
“...there is no way you can escape now since you’re alone...”
“... SKZ is about to lose their leader...”
Panic fills you once again as you realise that you were running out of time to help the blonde man. Unable to hear his response (”it was probably just him begging for mercy,” you thought), you bravely—or some would say, dumbly—call out to the group in the alleyway, finally revealing yourself at the entrance, hands gripping the plastic bags.
“Hey!”
At the sound of your voice, five heads turn towards you almost simultaneously. If this was any other situation, you were sure you would have laughed out loud. But now that you knew the gravity of the situation, all you could do was gulp and pretend you were strong so that some miracle could happen and you could live to the ripe old age of 80 with the love of your life and five children.
“What the fuck do you want?”
Starting to freak out at the tone of one of the men, you curse yourself out in your head for not thinking of a proper plan before jumping in to save that man. Frantically, your hands search your jeans and jacket when you feel a bottle in the jacket that you didn’t bother to clear out before wearing it out for grocery shopping.
Pepper spray.
Feeling braver almost instantaneously, you clear your throat and call out to the men loudly, making sure they couldn’t hear the distinct quiver in your voice.
“Let the man go,” you say as loudly as you could, fists curling into balls to make sure no part of you gave away the fact that you were shaking on the spot. “Now.”
Unsurprisingly, you’re met with loud guffawing, the four men clearly thinking you were a joke. A pawn that could be destroyed with just one move.
And they weren’t wrong.
“Let the man go or what? What are you gonna do, little bitch? Go cry to mummy?” one thug asked, triggering another round of laughter from the other three. “Well now that you’re you’ve seen us, we’ll just have to take care of you after we’re done with this scum over here.”
As he says that, you see another thug pull out what looked a lot like a knife, the silver glimmering under the strong moonlight. All you had to do was turn on your heel and run out as fast as you could without looking back and you had a chance of surviving, but your feet were not cooperating. It was like all thought was wiped out from your brain—including the knowledge of how to coordinate your limbs to get you the fuck out of there.
As the knife was passed to the thug holding the blonde man down, you instinctively rush forward, swinging your bags around in hopes of inflicting some kind of pain that will give the both of you some leeway to get out of that alley.
The resounding sound of metal hitting a surface rings in your ear, followed by a loud “Ouch”, satisfying you as your planned seemed to be working.
Dropping your groceries and grabbing the blonde man’s hand, your other free hand grabs the pepper spray out of your pocket, and you blindly spray it around in unnecessary amounts, running out of the alley with the man when you’re sure you’ve blinded at least one of the thugs.
Dragging the man behind you, you run as fast you can towards your apartment, not sparing a second glance behind you in fear that the thugs would be there.
You fumble with your keys and practically jam the right one into the keyhole, throwing the door open and locking yourselves in.
Hunching over in pain due to a nasty stitch you acquired from the sudden exercise, you finally get a good look at the blonde standing in front of you.
He wasn’t very tall—definitely average—albeit still taller than you. Some might have mistaken him for Snow White with how pale he was. He was wearing an all black outfit, causing his skin and hair to stand out a lot more than usual.
With how much you were analysing him, you fail to notice the hard stare he was giving you.
“Are you stupid?” is the first thing that comes out of his mouth. No heartfelt “thank you for saving my life”. None of that. Just him questioning the functionality of your brain.
“Excuse me?!”
Stitch forgotten, you straighten your back while staring at the ungrateful idiot in front of you, mouth agape. You risked your life to save this asshole, and this is the gratitude you receive?
“I said what I said. I could’ve easily taken care of them and you ruined everything,” he deadpans, walking up and down your carpeted floor, massaging his temple. “Are you always this dumb, or did you just forget to drink your smart juice today? I mean, which dumbass just rushes into a dark alleyway without any help whatsoever?”
“Hey, you better watch it!” you finally retort loudly. “Of course I didn’t stop to think, you were in fucking danger! Be grateful I even stepped in to try and help when I could have just walked away and let you take those 4 thugs by yourself. You wouldn’t even have stood a chance.”
He looks at you with flashing eyes right as you finish your angry speech; and you don’t have to try too hard to imagine the steam shooting out of his ears.
Just as he opens his mouth to fire another sarcastic comment, a series of loud bangs resound throughout your apartment. Your head shoots up towards your door, as the realisation dawns on you
Someone was trying to break down your door.
You rush over to the window and peek through the curtain and to your horror, you see the four thugs you had encountered—together with another four new men. They were back and definitely angrier than before.
“We’re gonna die!” you whisper-shout, shaking the man’s hand frantically as you look up at him. “I should’ve just left you in the alleyway.”
He rolls his eyes as he looks at you, pushing your hand off of him as he surveys your apartment.
“You go over and hide under that table over there.” he says, as he points to your desk that was tucked away far into the corner. “Don’t come out until I tell you to do so.”
You obediently nod and rush over to your table, wincing as you hear the door struggling to keep itself together, pieces of wood dropping onto your carpeted floor.
It’s gonna cost me a bomb to fix that...
Quickly crouching under your table as far as you could, you watch as blondie (that’s what you decided to call him until you find out his name) opens the door for the eight men, smirk ever-present on his face.
Why is that idiot smirking?! He’s about to get killed and he’s smirking?
“Now, why don’t we skip the part where you yack till my ear bleeds and get on with the fight?” blondie asks, an air of confidence and pride surrounding him.
Without any warning three men rush towards him at the same time, flicking out knives and other weapons that you had never before seen in your life. Unable to watch the gruesome scene that was awaiting to happen, you shut your eyes tight, relying on your sense of hearing to alert you.
You hear the clattering of knives, shortly followed by the sound of skin on bone contact, and finally, you hear the thud of human bodies hitting your floor.
Without opening your eyes, you hear the sound of feet walking towards you, causing you to push yourself against the wall, hoping the thugs don’t find you under the table. You weren’t the best at handling pain, and you definitely didn’t want to know what was going to happen if they catch you.
Instead of rough hands pulling you out from your hiding place as you had expected, you are met with soft hands grabbing your wrist, slowly pulling you out of your hiding place. You finally open your eyes, and you’re shocked by the scene that met you.
All eight thugs were laying on the ground, some groaning in pain, while some were deadly still. You really didn’t want to know what had happened to those who weren’t moving.
“I told you I could handle it.”
Your eyes snap up towards the man beside you, your perspective of him completely changing as you view him in a different light.
He no longer looked like a man who needed saving in your eyes. Instead, you could sense an aura of danger surrounding him. You imagine him sitting at the top of the throne, crown high on his head, as he ordered people left and right. Suddenly, you’re not sure who the most dangerous man standing in the room was anymore.
“W-who are you?” you finally manage to stutter out, unconsciously taking a few steps away from him, wanting to put more distance between the both of you.
“I’m the man that just saved your life, so some gratitude would be nice,” he taunts, hinting at your earlier conversation. “My name is Bang Chan, and I am also the leader of the most sought after gang, SKZ. But you can call me Chan.”
Taking in as much as you could from that few words he had just uttered, the last thing you remember is whispering an “oh my God”, before falling to the ground, your surroundings turning black.
✼ •• ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ •• ✼
You wake up to the sound of whispering all around you, your eyes squinting because of the bright light situated right above you. You whine out loud— annoyed that your rest had been interrupted by the constant whispering— abruptly being met with silence.
Raising your head slowly, you look around the place, expecting to be met with your blue curtains drawn fully, and your cluttered vanity, but instead you’re met with deep red curtains and nine people staring down at you; seven very unfamiliar and curious faces, and two familiar and worried faces.
As your brain registers the two familiar faces in front of you, you sit up quickly, dread filling you as memories of what happened before you passed out comes rushing in.
Just then, you realise who that one familiar face belonged to.
“They kidnapped you too?!” you scream at your college friend, immediately rushing over to him and pulling him away from the rest of them. “Are you hurt?”
As you are busy running your eyes over him, Changbin shifts around uncomfortably, trying to think of ways to break the news to you.
“U-uh Y/n... They didn’t kidnap me,” he starts, catching your attention. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion, waiting for him to then explain what the fuck he was doing there if he wasn’t kidnapped like you were. “I’m part of the gang, Y/n. I’m part of SKZ.”

- Young Wings - A song that encourages people to tke their time and not be pressured by those around them. Also, even if they are not ready as long as they try their best, they will do great.
- My Pace - Similar message from Young Wings, the song is about how everyone has their own successes at their own times and they shouldn’t be discouraged if those around them are completing more than them because their time will come.

8. Countless media outlets have done a story on Stray Kids and their comeback. Including BillBoard and MTV. These articles go over the meticulous details in the music video and the deep meaning behind the song, “Double Knot.” They also note how this is Stray Kids’ third comeback of the year and this concept is different from the two comebacks they have had earlier in the year and will have one followup comeback after this one. Stray Kids have not had a break this year, which their comebacks and world tour in Asia and North America.
Stray Kids may seem like any other K-pop group, as there was a trend of the expansion on k-pop through the years, talked about here. But Stray Kids is different from other groups because they self-produce their music and have helped a lot of their fans through tough times. Their deep meanings behind their music is what draws their fans to listen to Stray Kids’ music. I hope that this little rundown of who Stray Kids is and some links to their content will convince you to listen to their music. They are one of the biggest inspirations in my life and have influenced my viewpoint of life. As a fan of this k-pop group, I was able to understand that I am not the only one who struggles, and that those around me struggle as well. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one with struggles, because if someone else is able to overcome their struggles, I can overcome my own struggles.
