It had taken about half an hour to gather everyone in your group, after you, with the help of Minho and Chan had eventually reeled them all in and got to the stage location safely, you gave them the chance to explore, only now for some reason none of them wanted to leave your side. Seungmin and Chan because they were waiting for Ateez with you, Han because he didn’t like all the people around, Changbin who wanted to stick with you all, Minho who hasn't left your side ever since you told him about Sanni a few weeks ago. Then there was Felix and Hyunjin, who kept looking at you and giggling like little school girls, for reasons beyond your understanding, and I.N who just didn’t want to be left out by being the only one to walk around.

You were busy having a conversation with Chan, Minho standing silently by your side, arm hooked to yours, he’s been very touchy lately, and you can’t complain about it, you made sure to keep an eye on Han as well, he had been jittery ever since you arrived, his social anxiety spiking.

Everything was relatively quiet, there were stalls that served some coffee and treats, it was almost as if the school was setting up for this showcase to be like a fun carnival. While your conversation with Chan went on, you saw his eyes widen as he pulled Minho to his side, you were confused until you felt a body colliding with your back, legs wrapped around your torso, arms wrapped around your neck. Your hands instinctively flew to support the person's legs as you stumbled a little before finding your balance. “BLUE I MISSED YOU SO MUCH OH MY WORD YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE HOW UNBEARABLE IT WAS WITHOUT YOU” the voice shouted in your ear, it’s San, you recognize his voice and a smile blooms on your face. 

You don't register the confused look on your friends faces, or the weird one on Minho’s as you let San off your back and turn around to hug him, the smile on your face brighter than Minho’s ever seen and he doesn’t like the way his stomach churns in jealousy at not being the reason for your smile, but he doesn't act on it.

San kisses you on the cheek while wrapping his arms around you once again, he starts jumping up and down and makes you jump with him, “I’ve missed you too San” you look down at the shorter male with a smile, before you can ask him to let go of you, two more bodies collide with your own, accompanied by a shriek of excitement and a shout of “MY CHILD”, you recognize it as both Wooyoung and Seonghwa, and laugh to yourself at their antics.

“YAH LET OTHERS HAVE A CHANCE TO SAY HI TO” Hongjoong’s yell is heard from a few feet away as the three males that surround you let you go, when you look at him, you see Mingi and Yunho standing next to him. Yunho with a smile and Mingi looking as if he’s practically buzzing where he stands, you can't help but run up to them both, forgetting about the friends around you. Your arms wrap around both the males arms, bringing them close to you, their faces snuggle into your neck as their arms wrap around your waist. “I’m happy to see you again” You breathe out, as if it's a sigh of relief. “We saw each other two days ago Azure” Yunho reminds you as you step away from them, “That doesn’t count though, it was nighttime and all of us were tired” you reply, before turning and hugging Hongjoong, Jongho and Yeosang as well. 

After greeting you Jongho instantly walks over to Seungmin, the two engaging in conversation, you see Wooyoung talking animatedly with Changbin, Hongjoong who has somehow slipped from right next to you over to Minho, and Chan, Seonghwa standing next to him. Mingi throws his arm around your shoulder, Yunho not missing the way Minho’s eye’s zero in on the action. “Now, why don’t you tell me which one of them is the boy toy?” Mingi whispers into your ear, and you slap his chest before dragging the giants over to your new friends.

“Wait so you guys were already a group before the contest started?” Hyunjin questions, looking at San for confirmation, San, nods his head in response “Yeah, we were mainly focused on dancing but started making our own music along the way, Hongjoong and Mingi are mostly incharge of the production” San explains, “Yeah, they’re really good too” Chan supplied after him. “I think, wait actually Hongjoong You told me Felix was your fan right?” Chan turns to Hongjoong and he nods his head “Yeah, or at least that's what he told me” Hongjoong supplied, before seeing Felix’s confused face, “ Oh yeah you don’t know, Im MatZ from the group chat” 

Felix nods his head in realization before it turns to confusion again “But-” “We’re Ateez” Hongjoong said as if it was the most casual thing on earth. As if he didn't just turn both Felix and Hyunjin’s world upside down. “You’re what now?”

“Hey, have you guys seen Blue?” Yunho asks as he and Mingi walk up to the group, instantly Minho is on high alert. “Wasn’t he supposed to be with you two?” 

“Yeah, but he said he wanted to walk back to you guys and we were still in line waiting for our coffee, but he’s not answering his phone” Yunho spoke, looking directly at Minho. Minho took out his phone, trying to call you himself only to be met with your voicemail. At the top of his screen he sees a twitter notification, and he would have ignored it if it wasn't for the person that posted it. Minho stares at the words, it's as if they’re taunting him, as if she’s taunting him. 

He stands up before looking Yunho and Mingi in the eye, despite being a head shorter than both of them, “She’s back” his words confuse them for a moment, who is he talking about, before it hits Hongjoong, who stands up from his own seat. “What do you mean Sanni is back?” After his sentence it stills, those who know what he's talking about grow quiet and hold their breath, those who don’t look on in confusion, not daring to interrupt whatever it is the rest are talking about.

“She came to the cafe a few days ago, and I think she has Blue” Minho turns his phone around and show’s Yunho and Mingi. On his screen is a tweet Sanni made about 10 minutes ago, the words “I reunited with my soulmate!” staring back at them.

Instantly everything turns into chaos around them, Mingi whips out his phone to start calling someone, Minho doesn’t know who, Chan is trying to explain what is happening while calming down Seungmin and I.n.

Yunho shares a look with Mingi before storming off, but Minho follows him, grabbing his arm and forcing him to turn around “Where are you going?” he questions. “ I’m going to save my best friend, I think I know where they are” I all he says, “I'm coming with you” Minho’s gaze is made of steel, the determination behind it would have intimidated Yunho under normal circumstances, but right now Yunho is mad himself, and a mad Yunho is not someone you want to be around. He rips his arm out of Minho’s hold staring down at him “Look, I know you have this little crush on Blue or whatever, but this is my best friend, You don’t have a right to come with me”

Minho scoffs before lifting up his sleeve, showing the mark situated there, the heart being pitch black. “ He may be your best friend, but he’s my fucking soulmate.”
