i asked you a few months ago about meeting katie mitroff and i loved your response >w<

this might just be the journalism major in me but i’ve been meaning to ask if you’ve met any other members of the steven universe crew / cast and what they were like!

awww omg thank you!!! i have had limited experience meeting the crew unfortunately, i was going to say that chance encounter with katie at flamecon was all i had, but i had completely forgotten i had met rebecca sugar themselves briefly at a barnes and noble signing in 2019!

it was over 5 years ago, so forgive me for my memory being spotty, but it was shortly after steven universe the movie released, and su future had been announced, which rebecca answered questions about (thank goodness i wrote some of it down in this post!)

she also played "drift away" on her ukelele and sang (someone recorded it here!), which made me very emotional. that song was my favorite in the movie, because it had come out mere days after the passing of a childhood friend i had lost touch with. i told them this as i got my autograph, thanking them for the touching representation of grief in spinel. i don't remember their exact words in response but they were extremely kind and warm.

2024 had its ups and downs and I learned many things but I will always be grateful for who it brought me too.

Meeting my girlfriend changed my life for the better. She is the most wonderful person I've ever met. She's so kind and caring and makes me swoon without even trying. She was there for me and helped me drop and get out of hurtful situations.

Her voice is so calming and soft. She finds a way to make me laugh even on harder days. She cares so deeply and gently, it feels like a warm, soft blanket. She makes everyday so much easier.

So thank you @strawberryquartzes, for being in my life. Love you more than anything <3
