Raimi, Astin, 'Mandalorian,’ ’Harry Potter’ Q&As Among Top Programming at FAN EXPO New Orleans

From celebrity Q&As to industry, cosplay, gaming, anime and entertaining, informative sessions from all areas of pop culture, FAN EXPO New Orleans presents its collection of nearly 150 programing panels and meetups during the event, Friday through Sunday, January 6-8 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. There’s truly something for every fan and every taste every hour of the show into the evening throughout all three days of the convention, right until Sunday’s 5 p.m. finish.

FAN EXPO New Orleans celebrity guests like Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead franchise); Matthew Lewis (“Neville Longbottom”) and Bonnie Wright (“Ginny Weasley”) of the Harry Potter franchise; Giancarlo Esposito (“The Mandalorian,” “Breaking Bad”); Carl Weathers (“The Mandalorian,” “Predator”); Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, The Goonies); Henry Winkler (“Happy Days,” “Barry”); Emily Swallow (“The Mandalorian,” “Supernatural”) and many others will conduct interactive sessions with fans, headlining the thorough slate.

There are dozens of informative, entertaining panels by superstar creators as well as cosplay, gaming, trivia, film, horror and other pop culture themed sessions.

Nightcrawler! I love this cosplay so much.  It takes a really long time to do all the facepaint, but it’s totally worth it.  Also featuring my lovely other-half as Quicksilver!   I even climbed a tree! :D Here’s a post to let people know I am, in fact, still here. Ghosts!! Victor and I cosplayed our own Pokemon gijinka designs of Haunter and Chandelure at Naka-kon 2017! The staff is based on the Pokeapon weapon designs, but all other designs are our own. Flip Wizard shenanigans. I had such a great time cosplaying Taako at Naka-Kon 2017! It’s surprising how many people actually recognized me in this.   “Are.... are you Taako?  From TV?” -turns around, delighted- “Hail and well met my dude!”  The top photo credit goes to Lizzy Schlicht!   (I’m not sure of what your tumblr is, if you can see this let me know so I can tag)

Planet Comicon was fun!  I met Troy Baker as Rhys and I may have freaked out a bit. Also Jack is a huge nerd who took a picture of me sleeping on his shoulder.

Naka-kon Photos part one! Friday I was Napstabot, and Swag was Mettaton Ex Sunday we threw together some closet Borderlands cosplays of Rhys and Jack.  (I really like being Rhys and I’m working on a better version of him; our wigs definitely need work, lol) Saturday can be found here.
