a rare morning. miguel x reader

Stirring awake, your hands rub at your eyes, trying to adjust to the new day that lies ahead of you. The coldness of the room makes you shuffle your feet against his calves, attempting to derive some warmth from his body.

He’s still asleep, his chest rising and falling, light— no, heavy snores leaving his mouth. Miguel’s hands are loosely wrapped around your waist, his face buried into the crook of your neck. And with every exhale your skin tingles from his breath.

Selfishly, you desire to move. You want to stretch your limbs to escape from the past restraint of sleep. But you hesitate, desperately trying to think of a way to do so without disturbing your lover from his sleep. He’s been working till late recently and waking up at times that no human possibly should be waking up at.

But, this morning was a rare morning. A rare morning where he’s promised to stay in and spend some time with you.

And he can tell that you’ve been missing him lately. Your failed attempts to stay up and wait for him were obvious, he’d often find you asleep on the couch with a book opened on its spine adjacent.

Becoming restless with every second, you decide to get up for a glass of water. Now you knew that you would have to be stragtegic. One wrong move and you’ll wake up him up. You first problem was the hands that held your waist.

Carefully, you begin guide one hand off. His large hands severely contrasting your own. You freeze at the sound of a groan, then an inaudible murmur.

‘Is he awake?’ You think to yourself. Anxiously, you wait a few seconds until his breathing returns to normal and place his hand away from you.

Now you just had to remove the other one and you’d be ‘free’ to go, that is if you don’t wake him up. Your hand only seem to make it to his wrist before you’re stopped.

“Baby?”

shit.

Another groan leaves Miguel’s throat and simulatenously, his hand wraps around your waist again.

“M’just going for a glass of water.” You whisper.

“Stay.”

“M’ really thirsty, I’ll come back.”

He mumbles again and you can’t make out what he’s saying, his mouth slightly covered by his pillow.

“baby I can’t hear you.”

“I’ll go, you stay.” He mumbles.

“Mig’-“

“Just five more minutes.”

And with that, his hands are all over you again, caging you back with him. mission unaccomplished.

You settle back into his arms, accepting your fate. You guess you can wait a few more hours.

After a few minutes of silence, a muffled voice is heard by your shoulder.

“are you still thirsty, nena? Because I can go get you that glass—“

“no miggy, m’fine.” you smile. Perhaps if it was any other morning you’d still be restless but this?

You rarely got to experience this. his arms around you, his bare skin on yours, his naked soul entwined with your own. Upon meeting him for the first time you would have never thought that this is how you’d end up. Being one of the only people that he feels comfortable around. So much so, that he feels comfortable being vulnerable with you.

and you wouldn’t take it for granted. not anymore.

The importance of personal marketing, branding and your unique value proposition. What is your brand and what areas do you need to improve?

Throughout out this course I have learned the importance of personal marketing and branding. To acquire opportunities and become successful at your job, it is imperative to promote your marketing brands channels; Such as LinkedIn, social media channel and Resume. These must be done in a professional manner due to the competitive nature of society and demonstrating a strong personal brand can be the necessary tool in personal success, according to Rangaajan et al, (2017). Through this subject I have learned the importance of professionalism and the significance personable branding can have on an individual in societies competitive and brutal environment.   

Personal Marketing and branding are having a Unique Value Proposition which are vital in today’s competitive landscape. Personal branding is the process of effectively promoting and positioning an individual as a brand using one’s strengths and skills to create a solitary image and reputation to market themselves (Khedher 2014) . This includes creating a strong online presence, through platforms like Linkedln, social media and networking conferences. According to Ioana (2018) personal branding is crucial as it’s “the starting point of a successful career” (p. 44). Furthermore, effective personal branding can be the differentiation which can assist an individual to stand out from their competitors highlighting their qualities, skills and experience. 

Furthermore, in modern society an individuals online presence and reputation via social media platforms is monitored by business and Human Resource teams. Human Resource teams are able to analyse and grasp a gauge on the type of person you are based on social media posts and platforms which can be useful information to hire candidates (2017, as cited in Grasz, 2016). 

In today’s competitive landscape its paramount to portray yourself as a person who stands out from a crowd, whilst also maintaining and following an organisations belief. I have learned throughout this subject that you need to construct a Resume or CV in a manner that aligns with your values and with an organisations value, whilst also maintaining your own individual and unique quirks. 

I believe my brand is very outgoing, confident, polite character who displays personable and likeable characteristics. Providing a professional photo of myself smiling depicts a social, easy-going happy person. The areas I wish to focus and improve on would be my time management and writing skills. I hope to over the course of my final year of academic studies to master being a early to my classes and interstrip whilst also not needing extensions for my work. Additionally, I would like to sound more professional and mature in my writing.

Ok so I've been reading a lot of bsd theories and analysis these days and it got me thinking-

What if Light Yagami(Death note) and Dazai Osamu &/or Fyodor Dostoevsky (bsd)were to engage in a conversation?

Like Kira(Yagami) is an extreme idealist who dreams to create an utopian society by killing off dangerous criminals without giving them a second chance and develops a God complex in the process.

And Dazai Osamu is an ex-executive of the Port Mafia and a dangerous criminals who has committed the following acts-138 cases of murder,312 cases of extortion,625 cases of fraud along with other crimes.And Fyodor Dostoevsky,well nothing much is known about him but he's a dangerous ability user who has killed and manipulated several people and is part of a dangerous organization.

In a way Light and Fyodor can be considered similar cuz both of them have a somewhat questionable sense of Justice.Just like Kira thought of the world as rotten,Fyodor thought of humans as sinful creatures.So if these two were to ever engage in a conversation it would be really interesting to listen to.

Light and Osamu are like opposites so their conversation would be pretty interesting too because Dazai is highly stragtegical and intelligent and so is Light and when two highly intelligent people engage in a conversation,yk that good stuff can be expected.I'd like to think they'd be at each other throats by the first 20 mins of the conversation.Dazai's a really mysterious guy and is a terrific planner who can predict his enemy's moves so the question is would he be able to predict Kira? Since Kira himself is highly intelligent and predictive as well.

Well, thats me rambling again😅

Please point out any flaws in this and again this is just my opinion.
