Last night was a late one for me, not just because of the fireworks... And the thunderstorm... And more fireworks... And the fly in the house that needed to be hunted down because Anubis hates buzzing things and even after the fly was dead and gone, he needed to patrol, just in case... And then, you know, some 130AM fireworks. But because, once I got into bed, my brain suddenly decided to switch from TIRED to "You know what you could do with that pack of cocktail umbrellas you bought? You could make all kinds of sea animals holding them! Like a starfish... Or a seal... Or a whale... Let's just name every sea creature we can think of!" Thanks, brain. 🧵 WIP Wednesday 🧵 NFS This is a personal piece I'm working on to wear to a wedding this weekend. Swipe to see progress photos! I had to start over 3 times because this was a new design and I struggled a bit. But the outcome is beautiful! I am going to make matching earrings and possibly a hair clip if I have time. There's a store in Maumee called Scrap4Art that I like visiting from time to time. It's one of those places you don't go into with anything particular in mind, you just look through what they have and get inspired. The last time I went there, I found an organizer box with all kinds of beads in there, as well as two stone donut pendants. So, the red/gold clear beads and the donut bead on this necklace came from that trip! I've gotten so many cool things there!
