MinusShift - Coral Highways Main Cast

Frisk - 8th Fallen human, carries the red soul trait, with a little differential on it. They're very clumsy.

Initial equipment :

Umbrella - Your only piece from home. Can't be unequipped.

Band-Aid - Sticky. It is double-faced, while on inventory can be used to restore 10 HP.

Galah - Three beings for the price of one! They want to be the coolest on the underground . . . You're an obstacle.

Undyne - Vice president and commander of the underground military. Her mission is coordinate everyone to take your soul. Don't feed a shark by hand.

Dummy - An authentic training dummy. The middle part of it's body rotates, being able to attack you in battle.

Asriel - Problematic teenager, but with a good heart. Goes to the Coral Highways to help his father with flower deliveries.

A take on storyspin

Gaster -> Frisk (comic)

Papyrus -> Asriel (puppy)

In general, I like that almost every main character in Undertale has a resemblance to at least one character.

Papyrus for example:

1. With Asriel. I think this would explain why one of the reasons why Flowey is so interested in spending time with Papyrus. Therefore, he also sees his past self in him. The same friendly, hopeful monster who wants to make friends with everyone and show his strengths(StoryShift moment). They both have images where they are presented in a more powerful guise(there was photo of Papyrus with muscles and wearing sunglasses,and Asriel literally drew himself as a God of Hyperdeath lol). Both are, in the fandom's mind, "too pure for this world."

2.With Mettaton. There are basically no questions here. Papyrus is a fan of Mettaton and his show. Both love to cook and in a rather strange way. Both love to be the center of attention. And also, of course, loves making the puzzles that our main kid had to solve. If we also take into account that Mettaton, like Papyrus, has a relative who is his complete opposite (the same story with Asriel and Chara), (StorySpin moment..).

3.Flowey. Sight… StorySpin moment again.. Yeah lol, just look into those “empty and lifeless” eyes of Papyrus. That universe where Papyrus switch places with Flowey/Asriel(only on Papyrus’s side) already says a lot. All these similarities and parallels… I think the phrase ���you become what you once hated” would be perfect.

Comparing Papyrus and Asriel was the most interesting for me. And no wonder. After all, these guys really have a lot in common. When I look at art or comic where Papyrus is a child, he seriously reminds me of Asriel.

Storyspin Part 2

Asriel is Napstablook's role and likes to garden. Instead of a snail farm he has a garden of Floweys (tho a bit friendlier). His outfit is inspired by Ralsei as well as Chakri from my Deltarune Chapter Rewritten take. He mixes Flowey and Asriels personalities. Being friendly and welcoming like Asriel but also a bit snarky and pessimistic like Flowey. His fight uses red soul and he uses fire magic and some plant magic. To spare him you have to play with him until he tires out

Chara takes Mettatons role. They were killed after accidentally consuming buttercups but their soul persisted and was placed in a robot body resembling a human. They star as a horror movie monster in anti-human propaganda movies while also referencing how many people view Chara as evil. But it's all an act and they're real friendly and like to garden. They use red soul in battle and attack with weapons and minor plant magic. To spare them disable all their weapons

Alphys takes Asgore's role. She became the queen of monsters and captured human souls to experiment with them. She imbued herself with small doses of determination to make her stronger and partially amalgamate. She just wants everyone to be happy. Her weapon is a Gaster Blaster staff (like my storyshift) but one that resembles the determination extractor machine and shoots red attacks which will change your soul mode while also poisoning you. Kinda like Sans karma but will last the whole attack but stop once the attack ends. It's as if you get an overdose of determination. She uses yellow soul but her red attack will switch it back to red for the duration of the attack

And now the two skeletons that started all this..... The event that set storyspin into motion. Sans and Papyrus were two skeletons and the sons of Dr. Gaster but they were attacked by an evil Human. Sans was killed due to his low HP and papyrus was fatally wounded. Gaster managed to transfer his soul into a dog body but he remained in a coma for years until he was awoken by Napstablook after they took over as royal scientist. Undyne retired as head of the Royal Guard after this tragedy and went to the Ruins where she made peace with the next fallen human and swore to never let another human harm anyone but to also never harm a human as violence breeds violence. Asgore and Toriel would retire as the king and queen and hide out in Hometown with both striving to fight for peace between humans and monsters. Alphys was left to take over as queen and tried to help the humans but after finding research left behind by gaster on their powers began secretly killing them to experiment on their souls. She hid this from everyone even Undyne because this was her duty and her duty alone. The underground is split between anti-human and peace between the two races and the players choices will decide the future of humans and monsters.

Papyrus takes Asriels role and after gaining the souls and becoming his true form he becomes a god. His outfit is modeled after skeletors. Hed use blue soul and bone magic+gaster blasters. Fight him until he tires and allows you to save his soul. He also will still have the gimmick of stopping the fight when you're at low HP and would reset the fight. His "kid" form has him wear his cool dude shirt striped to look like Claus's shirt from Earthbound. He appears as a kid but when he died he was his age in Undertale he just appears this way to look more friendly to frisk

Sans takes Chara's role and watches your journey and will judge you after every ending. He has two shirts. A skull and crossbones one for any route but in pacifist his shirt resembles Lucas's from Earthbound

Storyspin Asriel

Behold what I believe Storyspin Asriel looks like.

Undertale belongs to Toby Fox. Storyspin is an Undertale AU created by RousJuice back in 2016, which was later adopted by Keno9988. So, far from what I’ve found, development on the AU has slowed down due to a lack of interest. Within this AU Asriel takes over the role of Napstablook.

From what I could find I couldn’t figure out if Storyspin Asgore and Toriel were together as husband and wife or if the two of them are just siblings. So, I went with them being siblings. Which makes Asriel not related to them directly. They just so happen to all be goats.  I wanted to toy around with the idea that Asirel was some type of ghost but more along the lines of a half ghost half goat monster. It was a fun idea to play around with.

I like to imagine Storyspin Asriel as this kind caring monster, but is still a shy and nervous kid. Floating around with a blanket to wrap himself in and hide himself in.

If Frisk were to do a genocide route they wouldn’t be able to do much damage to Asriel thanks to him being part ghost. When Frisk later encounters Asriel in the Underground I like to think that Asriel would make a flower crown for Frisk. This item could be used later on for a different section of the underground. Asriel would also offer up some tea and ghost candy.

Decided to draw Paps and Sans from the AU Storyspin (and yes I made Paps a human since- if Papyrus is in Asriels role and Sans is in Chara and- I mean I ASSUME they both died the same way Azzy and Chara do then it makes no sense if Paps was also a skeleton monster to get through the barrier since it needs one human soul fused with a monster to pass through it, soooooooooo yeah)

I STARTED THE BASIC CONCEPT OF IT BACK IN LIKE 2020 AS, A SWAP VERSION OF THE AU STORYSPIN AND IT KINDA STAYED THAT WAY FOR. A WHILE, I PLANNED OUT A WHOLE SOUNDTRACK FOR IT LIKE, THINKING IF IT WERE TO BE A GAME SOMEHOW WHICH PROBABLY WILL NEVER HAPPEN BUT IT'S FUN ANYWAY AND SHJSGFJHSGHJSD I'VE ONLY GOT A FEW SONGS DONE SO FAR (AND THEY'RE, KINDA OLD AND I'M NOT ENTIRELY HAPPY WITH THEM ANYMORE SO I'LL PROBABLY REDO THEM???)

I DID END UP PUTTING MY OWN SPIN (PUN INTENDED??) ON IT BECAUSE I DON'T THINK THE, CREATOR WANTED FANFIC OF IT OR ANYTHING SIMILAR AND I REARRANGED SOME OF THE CHARACTERS AND STORY EVEN MORE SO LIKE. -Shift Asriel

ROLE: Asriel -> Napstablook role

DESCRIPTION: Son of Asgore and Toriel, he goes to the coral highways to water flowers and help his father with orders (Since Asgore here is a florist). You two have a hangout at his father's house, in the Echoing City.

Asriel here is a lot more reserved, due to the death of his sibling, Chara, but is still the same kind hearted crybaby... at least with others than Vari (That one being a robot made to realize tests in Chara's soul once they died). RELATED OST LIST: 019 - Watering Dreams | Ghost Fight replacement: you two bump into each others in the main HighWay road to Larimar, and how everyone is warned that there's an human running away from Undyne, he got scared and the fight starts. Once he sees that you aren't a treat he'll let you go, just for Undyne appear a bit after. And if you try to kill him undyne will get into you, interrupting the fight. 019 S- Bump into: In the Sinful route, Asriel tries to confront you, even being really weak, but Undyne appears and defends he from the hit, making him go away.

Hope is inspired by the concept of toxic positivity.

After Hope escaped the Antivoid, he decided the best way to bring positivity to the multiverse was to destroy all the negative AUs.

Core Frisk wasn’t particularly on board with this idea since some of those AUs had innocent people in them, however they also didn’t want to turn Hope into an enemy, given that the two had been friends for quite a while.

That friendship was destroyed however, when Hope realized how effective his aura of positivity was in not only making those around him feel positivity, but how desperate the inhabitants of the Omega Timeline could be to keep feeling that positivity.

It reached a point where he was able to sway over a dozen people to his cause before Core Frisk stepped in and told him to get out. Hope reluctantly agreed, taking his new followers with him to the ruins of DreamTale to create a new base of operations, with the intention of spreading his new form of positivity across the multiverse and destroy every negative AU in existence.

My take on Storyspin

Roles are the same

Annoying Dog isn't too different besides having a rainbow scarf and Papyrus's face

Undyne former captain of the Royal Guard who retired to the Ruins. Her armor is old and rusted. Tries to peacefully bring you to the queen as her duty

Asgore is a hippie. Drinks iced tea and has a little garden. Hates confrontation and likes to be chill and laid back until you hurt those he cares about. Then you'll have a bummer time.

Toriel is a Mary Poppins figure. She wants to protect the human and guide them through Snowdin while also showing them some whimsy and fun. She uses an umbrella to fight and fly

Mettacrit is the new captain of the Royal Guard. Only took up the role for the fame and popularity. Wears a blocky suit of armor and has a helmet to reference box Mettaton. Outside the armor his ghost form resembles ex. And undying obviously resembles neo.

Napstablook is the Royal scientist and has an invisible man thing. They make music in their free time and enjoy the piano and saxophone.

Also all the soul fight and mechanics remain the same

Doggy uses bones instead of pellets but doesn't use the blue soul since he's not fully Papyrus

Undyne uses green soul and forces you to run away from her until she gets tired and lets you go.

Asgore uses red soul, orange and blue attacks, and destroys the mercy and fight buttons forcing you to stall rather than him dodging attacks like Sans. He also still has the gimmick of how his attacks damage (idk how to explain it but if you've fought him you'll know probably and how he gets faster as it continues)

Toriel uses red soul and will avoid hitting you of your HP gets low. She uses fire magic and her umbrella which will mimic Asgore's trident attack but is only ever blue. You have to repeatedly spare her.

Mettacrit is interesting since Mettaton himself doesn't actually turn your soul yellow in Undertale rather Alphys does for you to fight him so he uses a unique soul mode: Pink which doesn't change movement but will make white attacks not do damage and pink attacks do damage while in normal it's the other way around. He'll switch between the two throughout the fight and mid attack to keep you on your toes. Rather than ratings you got to gather an audience (done the same way tho) and his armor will fall apart throughout the fight. When the audience is big enough they'll convince him to let you live

Asriel, Chara, Sans, and Papyrus will be saved for later

Storyspin Sans

I'm still slowly posting all the art I'm uploaded over on my DA page for the past year. Here is another little series that I've been slowly working on. This series of art work is basically what I think all the character in the Undertale AU Storyspin looks like. Starting off with Sans as he was the first character I started off with in the series. Here's the description I made in the original post.

Undertale belongs to Toby Fox. Storyspin is an Undertale AU created by RousJuice back in 2016, which was later adopted by Keno9988. So, far from what I’ve found, development on the AU has slowed down due to a lack of interest. Within this AU Sans takes over the role as Chara, while Chara is Mettaton. Sans becomes the ghost that follows the fallen child around, translating monster writing, helping to translate the froggets and what other monsters say, and so on. I wanted to show what I believe Storyspin Sans would looks like.

When I first stumbled upon and read about this AU the mental image I had of the worlds Sans was this small, sick, child skeleton. From there other ideas and possibilities came to mind until the design you see came to light. Like as a child he’d love warm, soft, fluffy things, outer space, and his family. Which is why he wears a large, over sized, jacket that has soft fluffy fur lining on the inside. He also has a specific flower that he likes. This flower taking the place of the underground buttercups. These flowers are called anemone. The symbolism of these flowers (that I found when researching different flower meanings) best defines the situation Sans is in. The symbol anemones represent is forsaken or faded hope. When the player finally gets to see Sans (not a photo of him), during the genocide run, Sans is holding a bouquet of seven flowers. One to represent each of the seven soul traits.

My idea is that during the genocide run, throughout the game Sans tries to be nice and convince Frisk/the player to stop and reset to undo all the damage they have done, but when the world is about to be deleted, Sans tries to stop them nicely one last time. When that doesn’t work he uses the seven souls of each of the monsters that Frisk killed. Undyne, Toriel, Mettaton, Asriel (or Napstablook I haven’t decided on which one to put here completely yet), Chara, Asgore, and Alphys. Using not only his own magic but also their souls to fight back and to try and get Frisk/the player to realize that what they're doing is wrong and to go back.

This is just a jumble of my ideas and possibilities for the AU. I've got a one other design I've made and I'm working on designing all the others as well. So I do hope you all enjoy this one.
