Petition for the people who make fair rides to make them plus size accessible.

Earlier tonight, I went to a fair with my bestie. I couldn't go on any but two rides, one of them being the carousel. It was humiliating every time I got onto a ride and get strapped in, only to realize I can't fit. No matter how the ride operators pushed and pulled, the bar wouldn't click, or the seatbelt wouldn't buckle, then I had to do the embarrassing walk of shame behind the barrier, and watch my friend have all the fun.

And I don't wanna hear anyone's arguments about, "Well, if they just exercised, they wouldn't be plus size! 🤓☝️" Or, "Well it's unhealthy anyway! Why should we promote that by accommodating them? 🤡" Because I've heard it all, and I'm sick of it. There are so many reasons why someone may be plus size! And even if they are plus size because they're "lazy", does that mean they can't have fun? Also, literally EXISTING isn't promoting shit. If you look at me and worry about your kids looking like that, then that's your own issue you need to talk with a therapist about.

In conclusion, fuck fairs. What a waste of 40$.

I had a fun conversation with my mom and I'm sharing it here

Me: Can hear Mom complaining about my grandma and decide to go investigate

Me: What did Grandma do now?

Mom: 😂 Oh I was just telling them how when I was 18 I got a belly button pircing because they were all the rage when I was a teen and Grandma wouldn't sign off on it. And she said 'at least it's not a tattoo' and then when I was 19 I got a tattoo. Grandma was horrified which added to my enjoyment of it.

Me a week ago: Pointing out to my friends that dispite my Mom's worries nome of them noticed my legs weren't shaved until I called it out and mentioning the fact it mom is horrified by it makes me smile a bit.

Me now, to my mom: See aren't you glad the worst thing I've ever done is refuse to shave my legs?

Mom: ...Fair Enough.
