Battening down the hatches - Storm Gertrude

So, it's pretty windy here on Easdale Island amidst 'Storm Gertrude', the ferry is not running today, so we're battening down the hatches and cooking up some warming Chilli Jam. We had a busy run up to Hogmanay creating lots of hampers to be sent all over the UK, right down to Devon, across to London and lots in Scotland too! We had lot's of fun with the community of Easdale, parties, pantomimes and even a new year dip in the sea!

We kick started the new year with a trip to Scotland's Speciality Food Show is Glasgow, and met some great Scottish Producers that we hope to work with for but the bar and restaurant and the food company too. The first wholesale order of the new year is packaged and ready to go (once Gertrude calms down a bit) and there are new products being tested as we speak!

Keep your eyes peeled for an update on an exciting calendar of events we've put together to be hosted in The Puffer Bar and Restaurant from a murder mystery through to special evenings meeting our local producers where we will be showcasing their wonderful Scottish Produce in a delicious 5 course dinner! Of course there will be Seafood buffets, special roasts to celebrate mothers and fathers day, and lots more fun squeezed in too.

Stay safe in this crazy winter storm, and we look forward to you all trying our new preserves in 2016.
