Thinking about the new episode of cr and about Dorian and Orym but I’ve seen a lot of people making jokes about Dorian’s dad seeing everyone intrusive themselves and is like ‘wtf is that my son’ and so true so valid but consider.

Several years ago your youngest left, likely against your wishes, and just a short period of time ago your oldest dies, and now all of the worlds leaders are gathering to develop a plan to deal with a potential Calamity level event. You spot someone who looks similar to your only living son. He is then a part of the group of, frankly, hooligans who are fucked in the head brave and are gonna be the main task force against this event and summons your goddamn wyvern dragon horse, while wearing the sluttiest outfit you’ve ever seen, as well as a sending stone that matches with the halfling who approached you after who very clearly is fond of your son. Not to mention he doesn’t go by his birth name and title but is wearing gold to symbolize the death of his older brother. What would you do then

Efenity and her most notable powers/abiities (that aren't just Lightning):

She's a Storm Sorcerer who mostly channels lightning and thunder. She got her powers as a young teen (around 12) and it was really a traumatic experience. It also marked the day everything changed for her. Living on a ship at sea with her father her whole life, the pair were on deck during a large and strange lightning storm that struck the ship. It knocked both of them into the water and instantly killed her father. However, while she was knocked out, Efenity came to as she hit the water and found that the storm awakened her powers. But she couldn't save her dad. Not that he was much of a dad anyway.

But with the drowning of her only direct protection on the ship, Efenity was made an indentured servant to the crew until she could pay off her father's debts. Just as she received her powers, they were locked away. She was only allowed to use them for only the purposes that benefited the crew and ship (airflow, clearing rain/fog/clouds, making the ship go faster with wind, striking down other ships with her powers, etc). Efenity was forced to wear a bracelet that damped her connection to the arcane and quieted the magic inside. But there was a storm brewing within her anyway.

After escaping the crew and running away in Baldur's Gate, Efenity met a fellow storm sorcerer (ice and water channeling) named Rytinna who took pity upon the girl. She took her in and began to train her. She helped Efenity learn the basics of magic and discover that her strongest storm connection was lightning and thunder.

But sorcerer magic comes from within, and if that is not in control, neither will the magic be.

Efenity eventually mastered her emotions enough to master her magic and be an effective criminal. It was far from what Rytinna had dreamed Efenity would be doing as an adult... but what can ya do?
