Marvel Comics has announced a special Marvel's Voices for Black History Month as well as Storm / Ororo Monroe's 50th anniversary. Storm: Lifedream #1 is an anthology one-shot that will be spearheaded by Angélique Roché and includes works from creatives Roché, Curtis Baxter, Brittney Morris, John Jennings, Karen S. Darboe, Edwin Galmon, and more.

I've really really missed Hellfire Gala levels of gowns and outfits, so this scratches a specific itch for me lol. But we always knew that Ororo would be walking out in glamorous dresses as long as Werneck would be on interiors 🥲🔥

The pattern on the bodice/corset screams high fashion but I'm hesitant to say what specific name in case I'm wrong 😂 but look at her??? gorgeous 😭

also.. I think what this solo is doing in a neat way is making sure we know she's connected to different parts of the greater marvel setting without necessarily calling back to the X-Men which, has both pros and cons! I like it tlso far though because at least #3 will be giving us X-Team time and Lifedream will be giving us back-to-her-roots time. Eager to see what's up next for her!
