Day 919
The air cooled as she walked into the office. Everyone waited in bated breath to see how her majesty would react to the new interviewee being sent home early due to schedule changes. Hushed whispers talked of the impending tirade.
Just as she walked in, the third in command rushed to her to give the news. It was met with rolled eyes and a huff of indignation.
“What do you mean she left early?” cried her royal highness.
With a shaky breath, her third in command stated “Everyone met with the new recruit and they didn’t need all the time that was allotted… sent her home early.”
“Don’t know know I MUST meet everyone before they are hired here?” She sighed with contempt. Did everyone just forget who she was? After all, she inherited this company after her husband passed so that meant she was now the most important person in this company. “ Well I leave on the 20th so get her back here so I can meet her. “
The only thing heard in the quiet office was the sound of heals clicking as they walked out the door. Breathing resumed in the office once the sound of the door slamming shut.
“We didn’t even know she was in the country let alone going to be here” cried the third in command as tears started to well up in their eyes.
“We know” is all the second could say. “We know”
