I used to learn and see how people make their rugs by using fabrics. This time I challenged myself to only pick up some leftover materials at home and tried to achieve that similar texture and pattern in my mind. Benji is a wire puppet. His head and limbs are covered with beige baked sculpey. I put soft clay on the joints and belly so they are replaceable and bendable. The most challenging thing is to make the puppet "on model." I tried to make sure of that by checking with my partner Ben and also observing his face more...
