Hello, this is a series I am doing based on the Netflix adaptation. I have included my own character introduction below). You can find the series in book form on quotev under my second account stopdat.

Age: 30; 18 physically

Social Power: Fire Manipulation

Occupation: Scientist

Hobbies: dancing, reading, jogging, learning languages

Mother's origin: Asuan, Egypt

Hair: dark brown and slightly curly

Eyes: green

Height: 160cm - 5'5

Special physical features: immense amount of freckles, always long nails (inspired by the picture), scars from failed machine tests

Tattoos: patchwork on whole body (there is no order or logic to it), all in black ink

Piercings: left ear: 2 lobe, 1 conch, 1 industrial; right ear: 3 lobe, 2 helix; nose: septum

Character: antisocial, reserved, snarky, sarcastic, kind hearted, introverted

Background for before the series:

Nailah wasn't the strongest of the siblings and didn't enjoy the missions their father send them on. She did as she was told and never did more than necessary. She was an underdog for most of her life and liked to keep it that way. She developed the interest for dance and sciences early and Grace soon organised classes for her. She became pretty good at ballet but never considered it a career option. She graduated early from high school and got into Harvard University which she also graduated without any problems. She works for a science company that helps develop prosthetics for Maritech Prostetics where she doesn't have to go to work, just check in from time to time. Nailah and Five had always had a certain rivalry between them. Nailah's earliest project was to invent a machine that could stop the aging process for a certain time. After Five had disappeared Nailah had taken it upon herself to make it happen and she did. Three years after Five's disappearance she managed to stop her agin process when she was using the machine. She now uses it nearly constantly. She sleeps in it for over a year at a time and so her mind has aged normally while her body remains little older than 17. She hopes to slow her agin so much that she can live up to the time to when Five has jumped. In Vanya's book Nailah is described as a silent and arrogant know-it all that felt she was better than anyone else. Nailah of course is offended by this but tries to ignore this feeling because she sees that Vanya had it hard in her youth.
