Some of you hb criticals are really fucking weird and ableist towards people with mental illness ngl. I haven’t interacted much in the community myself because i have been working on my own mental health snd getting a diagnosis and proper meds(aytypical anti psychotics) and jesus fuck why are people claiming vivziepop is ‘delusional’ and viv fans are ‘mentally ill’ just because they’re being an asshole or lying or have slightly weird ideas. And dont fucking give me ‘ohhj i grew up around mental illness so i know this is it’ or ‘ohh the hb fans are impacting my mrntal health’ grow the fuck up or delete your account. Vivziepop isnt ‘delusional’ just because she has a shitty, stupid discourse opinion that a ton of 30 year old bisexual women on the internet share. She’s just a person who falls for bad retoric, she doesn’t have a condition that causes delusions and your shithead words would be way fucking worse and so much more dangerous if she genuinely did, i can tell you that.

And if not liking hb is giving you mental health problems maybe try not being so stubborn and fixated on that? Get consueling if it’s too too much for your poor hater mind?

Because i can guarantee that it isn’t giving you an actual psychological condition, and if it’s enhancimg one you already had, you should totally stop engaging with anyone involved and log out. Focus on ocs or something maybe.

Trust me, my autism gave me a SPINTREST on hb critique and even i am not as much of a fucking weirdo and loser as these people who are claiming vivziepop has a condition that makes her have delusions. Seriously fuck off you are poisoning the hb critical community. This is the reason i’ve been posting nearly nothing related to hb you guys. Too tired. The fans think narracustic abuse is a real term and the criticals think everyone who wrote it is mentally ill for no reason.

I actually thought the next episode was the best one of the season. I liked that blitz finally fully apolgized for something hes done wrong, i liked that even though stolas was there he felt like an actual side character, and i liked that blitz had class conciousness(lol). Ialso kinda appriecated that they remebered some previous villians. I also appriecated fizzmodeus being a good rekationship but with as,odeus still having some condescendingness towards fizz (hopefully they’ll treat it as a flaw!) i also liked the blitzfizz moments and the fact fizz is surprisingly good disabled rep for a show where the main character said the r slur. Also the interesting character bit of striker finally working for a imp like he probably wants! I also like that hopefully blitz will get that asmodean crystal soon, and be free!

Stuff i didn’t like: the fact there’s literally no women in this episode, the fact they called striker a supremiscist just for him calling out blitz and fizz as class traitors, the total destruction of blitzstrike(sorry i caught a soft spot for it lol! And this episode convinced me even more viv REALLY REALLY hates most ships of blitz with anyone except soft uwu owlboi), the fact that theres no exploration of strikers thoughts and feeling about finally working for someone of the same class/species as him, the feeling i got that the writers probably wanted us to think fizz was right during the classism discussion(like, ‚oooh some rich people are good!’ Shut up fizz if your bf was a decent person he wouldnt own a factory. Lol)

I want to stress this last con especially, as it’s my most hated idea touted in the fandom and the show.

it also was especially gross how there was some implication that if stolas ‘truely loved blitz’ that stolases fetishization of both the lower class, blitz’s species, and blitz having different anatomy would all be ok. Thanks, viv: Being a classist chaser prick is totes fine! Just make sure to have romantic attraction about it!

I am critical of hb, i really am, but the undercurrents of abelism in the critical community REALLY need to change. Me and a mutual have noticed it, and so far until now its only been small stuff, but this is really fucked up.

How? Simple. This person obviously has no idea what schizophrenia is, because this post is really just about the characters having goals that contradict snd don’t make sense. It is not at all related to schizophrenia, and i can think of a billion different ways to describe characters being ooc and having hypocrisy, all of which DONT INCLUDE A STIGMATIZED MENTAL CONDITION.

To make it worse! One of the most popular hb critical blogs reblogged this and agreed with it! I can understand not knowing what word to use, but jfc, if the first word that speings to mind is a mental condition, maybe consult a dictionary!!!

I don’t care if you are neurodivergent. You can still cause harm to other members of your community!

Tbh a lot of my gripes with hb would be over if they stopped treatimg stolas as a woobie that never did anything wrong.

I wish they brought up the issue of his coercive consent. When he calls blitz and blitz is running away from danger. It is very very heavily implied stolas knows when blitz is in danger in episode 6. Therefore either

A)he knew that blitz was being chased by someone who wanted to kill him and used this to leverage a deal against him

Or

B) blitz normally tells stolas things are at bad times, as he does not like stolas, and stolas ignores him.

People say i only dislike stolitz because it is kinky and queer and thats simply not true. I am ok with kink if it is Safe Sane And Consensual. Stolitz fails the last part misrebly, especially in the first season, except for ep 6 . And even so with ep 6 it seems like blitz is traumabonded to stolas. I don’t know why blitz x striker isn’t more popular, it could easily be as kink and queer positive a ship as stolitz, with the added bonus of being a bit anti capitalist.

Stolas is a fricken royal after all, and everyone making him punk on twitter is disgusting. That isn’t what punk is, that’s like queen elizibeth saying she likes AJJ. People in the hb fandom seem to be unaware of class dynamics and struggle, instead prefering a rather neoliberal 'its ok if a gay person has a billion dollars because they are gay’ thing. It really bothers me that somehow they only see oppresion as being either misogyny or queerphobia.

+on the topic of the last reblog, i think that most of the rewrites i actually enjoy are by people who actually appreciate in the interesting and cool aspects!

It’s meant to be a queer show, and it is, but usually only in a certain way? Tweak a few characters just a little, just in terms of sexuality and or gender.

It could be a scathing critique on capitalism if there were only a few tweaks to dialogue and narrative framing choices, and that bugs you? Go for it!

But like, man. Some of these rewrites make all of the demons a bunch of anthropomorphic horses or dragons or whatever? And they erase the class system and the assassin bit and make the characters more friendly and smooth out all the edges of these fucked up characters.

And it’s like. Dude. Do you really like the shows potential or just want to remake it with your ocs for the sweet sweet notes? Because if you make an oc story slightly based on it, thats totes ok, and you probably should do that instead.

Of course when you’re rewriting things you might get a little self indulgent, but man, sometimes you just gotta realize when something is completely different , N not even in a way that improves on the original

And like! I don’t care about some of these ‘plot holes’ people tout about! You are not the nostalgia critic! I literally would not give a shit how many plot holes the show had or how much it strayed from the assassin plot as long as it properly adressed the classism and coercion inherent to stolitz, and maybe focused on the women more. that is literally the only thing in the canon of the show that majorly bugs me, if they did that i have faith it would certainly be much more enjoyable to me! It doesn’t matter how cerebus syndrome’d a show is as long as its done in an enjoyable and tactful way! There, thats my hot hb take . See ya
