Helluva Boss: Stolas Demon Form

Yay first upload of the year! It was a struggle to draw his demon form since a) He has different forms and b) I don't know how to draw an owl. But I feel proud of myself with this art. I was going to draw Blitz here too but it didn't fit. So here's my take on Stolas's demon form and hope you like it!

I like to think that, since Lucifer was literally playing with Adam for most of that fight, he wasn't using his full powers when he beat him.

So I like to imagine that the form he had at the time wasn't like... His full, powered-up form.

Like it's a partial transformation deal

And when he is using his full powers, he looks terrifying. Like a biblically accurate angel that got demonized. Absolutely horrifying and scarring to perceive.

Of course there are times when he does too much and you get upset.

"Forgive me my darling.", he kisses the top of your head. "You know I like taking care of you, but as you wish."

He shows off his demon form because he knows you like it.

Teases you about it later in your shared hotel room, until you're hiding your blushing face.

"I thought you liked my radio dial eyes?", he leans closer, purposefully turning them into radio dials. "￦as ¡ wr¤Ω&?", he asks, static more noticeable in his voice.

"D-don't!", you'll stutter and shiver, peeking through your fingers.

His smile widens and he'll continue transforming. "What's the matter my love?", he chuckles as he looms over you. "Trouble holding back?"

Falls in love all over again when you get pissed at someone.

Watches as you tear up said demon and cheers for you. "Save me a piece or two darling!"

Man worships and adores you.

No one will ever see you make the Radio Demon blush, but you don't mind. That's only for you to see.

I don't remember if here or on twitter, but someone pointed out that while we know when Stolas fell in love with Blitzø (when he first met him at the circus) we don't know when Blitzø fell in love with Stolas so, as the sane person I am, I rewatched (again) season one and I think that

while by Harvest Moon Festival he had already clearly catched feelings (being flustered when Millie said he was Stolas' boyfriend and then getting quite mad when he found out Striker wanted to kill him - justifying everything with the "We have a deal" thing), I think this is what changed things for him

Like, you kidding? The demon Prince you're "fucking just for a deal" comes saving your ass (and the people you love most in the world) in the most creepy and badass way possible, in full demon form and by possessing one of your captors? And then gently cups your face in his hands to check if you're hurt? Oh I know he finally fell down bad precisely there and then

Okie, it's time to shitpost speculate a bit on my favorite moment in the whole show: the end of the Truth Seekers episode.

Do you think this was the first time Blitzø was protected? Taken care of? Saved?

Just look at how in awe he is, eyes wide open, jaw dropped. I doubt we've ever seen a face like this before or after. Of course, it might also have something to do with seeing Stolas in his true form for the first time. It was eerie and terrifying, but also sublime and exalting. Oddly attractive even, maybe?

This owl demon, with eldritch ancient powers and two dozen legions, was there just for him. Stopped in his tracks of whatever royal deeds he was attending to and came to stand up for Blitzø, to scare the shit out of his... well, fuckbuddy's (or not really?) perpetrators. Stolas watched after him, knew he was in trouble! So he... cared?

I am going to repeat my starting statement - he is not used to being worried about. Here, Moxxie clearly prioritizes Millie (no blame here, it's completely valid!), and helps Blitzø to get up only after the latter sarcastically sneered, "Oh, yeah, thanks, I am fine!"

And Loona, at least until the Queen Bee episode, which happens later, was very hesitant to show even a grain of affection toward Blitzø. We know she cares, but it's not always enough to just have it in mind and not demonstrate it.

And here is Stolas, caressing Blitzø, asking if he is alright, calling him 'darling' - another first in their relationship, at least on screen. Look how confused he is for a moment; he looks away and up (defensive? scared? annoyed?) - has he ever been asked things like that before? Notice how his face relaxes after Stolas strokes his forehead. Our guy is tough, no doubt, but I bet he just realized how nice it is when there's someone who cares.

Hell knows, these five seconds are a single thread holding my mental health together after the shitshow in the Full Moon and Apology Tour episodes.

Of course, there's the second part where Stolas tones down the grandiosity of his gesture. He scolds the crew for not being careful and jeopardizing him along with them, implying that the book exchange should remain a secret. Then he negates it himself - luckily for them, demon-obsessed lunatics are not taken seriously in the human world.

I don't think this changes anything. The first thing he did was to ask if Blitzø is okay. Only after he was reassured Blitzø is fine did he begin to rant, and even then his concern addressed both the crew letting themselves into trouble and his own safety. Again, why wouldn't it be valid? However I look at it, I don't think the book is his primary interest here.

And is this the first time we see Blitzø blushing?

This blush! I bet my life that Mister Blitzø 'boring-as-fuck-monogamy' Buckzo hasn't even internalized it yet, but oh, did his heart just do a big somersault.

Listen to my voice: This is the moment he fell, even though he didn't know it himself yet. Poor boy has a lot of work to do to unlearn his coping mechanisms and let his walls down.

His most loyal friend its Stolas who wants to meet you asap!! He is going go bring lots of gifts to you. If you ever express some kind of liking towards the space then Stolas its going to teach you all about them.

Calls Charlie to let her know she is a big sis now and while she is confused she is happy to hear her father being so hyped. She breaks down after knowing how you ended in hell and wants to cuddle you.

Alastor its so off limits. The radio Demon its curious about you and wants to piss Lucifer off by also "adopting".

"You can call me Dad" Alastor with a grind seeing Lucifer get angrier as the seconds pass.

Your fav thing to do its make ducks!! Lucifer made sure to lock down the ones that could hurt you.

Cries when you made a duck that represents him. He now has it in his office.

Gets proud of you by doing whatever. He wants you to learn lots of things so he ends calling the best demons.

The only Demon who can play violin besides him in the nine circles.

Gets you some type of hell pet thats really tiny till it detects danger then it changes into a full beast.

The maid (Xin) its worried you may end hurt by how much you run in the royal gardens.

Most likely you wont develope any type of special power due to your soul not being tainted. Thats why Lucifer teaches you ways to fight.

He wants to see your full Demon form. Even if you are cute and innocent right now he dies to see what you can become.

Asks you about your life and takes care of you when you get sad about your death and your mom.

Lucifer still wants to kill your mom and swears he will have a special chat if she ends in hell.

If she goes to heaven then he is going to be so angry but at least he does not have to deal with her.

Its so scared you will think he is not cool or good as a dad so he tries his best.

Wants you to have Friends but even the kid demons are more violent than you so he decides to keep a distance from them. For now at least.

You are banned from going outside without him or someone he trusts.

If someone dares to touch you then its big game over for them.
