The voice of his sister brought Byakuya to a halt through one of the many hallways in the manor. It was true his absence had been extended to an unknown number of days and this was one of those rare moments he seemed to be a presence more than a ghost in his own home.

“  I could say the same thing. I hope you are doing well Rukia.”

—[ 氷の女王]—  She has not seen him in a long time and every day she had resisted to accustom to his absence in the manor, she did not want to revive the feeling to see him as a mere strange.  Rukia was more than delighted with his presence in the hallways again. Surely he has fulfilled duties concerning the Kuchiki Clan and has done his paperwork.

Most of them you couldn’t see, since the hair always over it up. Thank the lord, but it was simply. It was a fight between him and Captain Unohana—- he was going to leave the part out where she wasn’t the person they say today. They got into a fight. Shunsui being the flirty child he was, hitting on some of the people around the division and with that, she was tried of him being rude and she got mad— and then got into a fight. It was harder to explain how it went around, since Shunsui doesn’t remember it very much. 

        Let’s say she knocked him out pretty good. Leaving him in bed for days afterword; in pain and learn his lesson for at least three weeks.

Rukia was looking the city from one of the balcony of the royal palace, something she adores, was a shiny and cloudless morning. The duties of the princess should start in some minutes once the violin instructor arrives. In that, she heard the voice of her elder brother. For several years she has wondered the same, nonetheless one day the curiosity to know the city and their habitants was bigger than her prudence and secretly she left the palace, something forbidden for her, and the adrenaline to be against the laws, the sympathy of the people and the magnificent and dazzling beauty of the town made her return four times more, but she has always been frightened be found or recognized and been punished by her behaviour. 

His query has made her thought that maybe he suspects about her activities, he is really smart and even if she only left it a few times and in hours when everyone is busy or in the dawn, it is feasible that she made a mistake and Byakuya has realized about it. However she cannot admit she has been outside, even if he is her brother, she cannot tell him what she has done. What could happen if he tells someone that she has broken the laws? Would be able to even see the city again? Even from the balcony where she was? The princess prefers do not know the answer to her questions. 

Her gaze searched him and gently turned herself to do not give him the back. Softly she replied. “I wonder it too. I’ve never had the possibility to be in the city and I’d really like meet it.           Was there any more of a difference between social status among the Taichou’s then that between Sanbantai and Rokubantai, certainly one not need look too much further comparatively speaking. As it stood it was a favored topic to prod at for the silver-haired serpent on occasion. The way the shining beacon of the head to the Kuchiki clan so very obviously loathed having to stand along side anyone so low on the rungs, straight from the outward slums of Rukongai themselves, considered taichou material, there was no mistaking the searing burn it inflicted once the nobleman’s eyes closed, each and every time it was expected but it never did get old, causing that type of revulsion.

All the better when there were visible and readable signs.

          So it was regardless, that within Gotei ranks, Ichimaru did stand as an equal, same duties, same responsibilities, same power. Naturally, there were times words did exchange between the two. More often times then naught prompted by Gin, in attempts to banter on in some form or another for the simple reason of leaving the other feeling like some foreign presence had infiltrated his very own skin, crawling around as it pleased. And how funny a thing it was, to see words do so many sordid deeds. Most times it really didn’t take much at all.

Matters of persuasion were a delightful form of entertainment.

          This time it was he who would be approached the days following one such encounter. Had he dropped subtle hints, mentioned references in a misleading undertone, perhaps. 

"How can I possibly trust you?" the prideful dark-haired man demanded suddenly.

          Surprising as it was to so suddenly be called out, he would turn slowly, offering a grin that would tell no tales in and of itself. 

"Ano, do ya seek trust from meh, Rokubantai-taicho? I must say this is quite th’surprisin’ revelation~"

"Would you really believe me if I told you that I didn't, Kuchiki taichou~?" He really doubted it, he was one of the first out of the captains to have a finger pointed at him after all.

  A greeting along with a slow respectful nod was spoken as the two met within passing. It was something that took place nearly daily and Hitsugaya was certain the elder of the two concerned himself very little over something so trivial. However, there were times when Toshiro got lost in his own thoughts over these matters, possibly hoping some understanding existed between the two and that perhaps the respect might be mutual. Not just some projected and forced veil as was so often the case between most everyone in the Gotei 13.

  It would more than likely never be verbally exchanged but for the Jubantai-Taichou, Byakuya Kuchiki was someone, out of the many within Soul Society that he had come to find more than a deep respect for. From demeanor to outlook the young shinigami felt some kind of attunement to the other, in some way, if only quietly and to himself.

Rukia’s eyes opened wide when her brother gave her a lovely and great Wakame Taishi. She simply cannot believe it, probably because she did not expect him with that wonderful and cute surprise.  He was aware of how much she loves The Wakame Ambassador and she was really excited, she has never owned a Seaweed Ambassador before.

She received the seaweed stuffed and with a bright smile and with a cheerful tone said “Oh, thank you so much Nii-sama! I love it so much.  It’s a beautiful and gentle gesture of you.”
