Coronavirus Pandemic: Trump Asserts ‘Total’ Power to Lift Lockdown
Donald Trump, going against the governors and legal experts, has asserted ‘total’ authority to lift the nationwide lockdown owing to the Coronavirus Pandemic. “The President of the United States calls the shots,” said Mr. Trump arguing with reporters during a combative press conference. Contrary to that the U.S. Constitution proposes the states to maintain public safety and order.
