We have a very interesting whisky for review for this whisky Wednesday: The award-winning single malt scotch whisky from Glencadam, a Highland single malt aged in Oroloso sherry casks for 14-years, is an excellent example of centuries of craftsmanship and tradition. A "rather delicate" malt with a rich and refined aroma. . Glencadam was founded in 1825, in the old town of Brechin. It was the year in which the first horse-drawn omnibuses appeared in London, when the first modern railway line in the world was inaugurated, with the first passenger train pulled by steam locomotives, Cox cultivated the first Orange Pippin apples and London became the largest city ​​in the world, surpassing Beijing. It was less than a year after distillation was legalized by the Excise Act of 1823. . Glencadam is now the only distillery in the Angus subdivision, an area in the hilly region of Scotland. The first owner was a certain 'Mr Coopera', who sold the distillery in 1827. The name "Glencadama" comes from the area known as "The Tenements of Caldhamea". There were plots of land given to the boroughs of Brechin for food production, located north and southeast of Den Burn, where the distillery was located. .
