RG @stjosemaria A MAGNIFICENT REALITY – “We must be convinced, therefore, that work is a magnificent reality, and that…work is not a consequence of original sin, nor is it just a discovery of modern times. It is an indispensable means which God has entrusted to us here on this earth.” : St. Josemaria Escriva “Friends of God”, no. 57 : : #WorkingforGod #FriendsofGod #StJosemaria #CalledtoHolliness #FindingGodinDailyLife #josemariaescriva #stjosemariaescriva #OpusDei #dailyquote #catholic #catholiclife #instagood #waytruthlife #GodinEverydayLife #CatholicConnect #BeaSaint #faith #instacatholic #igerscatholic #instaquote https://www.instagram.com/p/BnjAVldFUHA/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=9s0xas71dfa5

“Make it a habit to raise your heart to God, in acts of thanksgiving, many times a day. Because he gives you this and that… Because someone has despised you… Because you don’t have what you need, or because you do have it. And because he made his Mother, who is also your Mother, so beautiful. Because he created the sun and the moon and this animal or that plant. Because he made that man eloquent and you he left slow of speech… Thank him for everything, because everything is good” (St. Josemaría Escrivá, The Way, 268). #happythanksgiving #thanksgiving #stjosemariaescriva #theway #quote

Reposted from @stjosemaria - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ST. JOSEMARIA! St. Josemaria Escriva was born on this day (January 9, 1902) in Spain. To learn more about his life and works visit www.stjosemaria.org : : BRIEF INDEED IS OUR TIME… : “How short indeed is the time of our passing through this world! For the true Christian these words ring deep down in his heart as a reproach to his lack of generosity, and as a constant invitation to be loyal. Brief indeed is our time for loving, for giving, for making atonement. It would be very wrong, therefore, for us to waste it, or to cast this treasure irresponsibly overboard. We mustn't squander this period of the world's history which God has entrusted to each one of us.” : St. Josemaria Escriva “Friends of God”, no. 39 : : #FriendsofGod #HappyBirthday #OnThisDay #StJosemaria #CalledtoHolliness #FindingGodinDailyLife #josemariaescriva #stjosemariaescriva #OpusDei #dailyquote #catholic #catholiclife #instagood #waytruthlife #GodinEverydayLife #CatholicConnect #BeaSaint #faith #instacatholic #igerscatholic #instaquote ____________________ @jm.andradecuadra @iqeconomico @libertyadvocateve @globalmft ---------------------------------- - #regrann — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2VFo0KP

"Gossip is a very human thing, they say. And I reply: we have to live in a divine manner. The evil or flippant word of only one man can create a climate of opinion, and even make it fashionable to speak badly about somebody… Then that thin mist of slander rises from below, reaches a high level and perhaps condenses into black clouds. But when the man persecuted in this way is a soul of God, the clouds shower down a beneficial rain, come what may; and the Lord ensures that he is exalted by the very means with which they tried to humiliate or defame him" (St. Josemaría Escrivá, Furrow, 909). #quote #gossip #faith #stjosemariaescriva #human #divine #persecution

@Regran_ed from @traditian_order - “Never correct anyone while you are still indignant about a fault committed. Wait until the next day or even longer. And then calmly, and with purer intention, make your reprimand. You will gain more by one friendly word than a three hour-quarrel. Control your temper. “ St Josemaria Escriva. I am guilty of this error. My then non-Catholic husband was beginning to attend church with me. During Easter we ended up at a Norvus Ordo Mass. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, he informed that when he went up to get a blessing, he received communion. I exploded. Our argument was so bad that the kids tried to get out to walk home. My husband stopped going to church for the next five years. It took a priest during a bible study to explain to him why a non-Catholic cannot take communion and how Catholics viewed such an action. My husband did finally become Catholic. If I had controlled my temper, he would have become Catholic sooner. My failure to control my temper almost drove him away permanently. If I had taken the time to calm down, we could have discussed it and not had a topic that we could not peacefully discussed for several years. My husband did not realize the gravity of his error at the time. Our emotions need to be controlled or Satan will turn them against us. We are to help lead everyone to Christ. After 16 years, I still regret not having better control of my tongue that day. #traditionalcatholic #catholichurch #catholic #romancatholic #traditianorder #stjosemariaescriva #[email protected] - #regrann — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2A4LgZz
