Yesterday, The Princess Royal joined a virtual meeting with our Prior and the first intake of young people for the NHS Cadets programme. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young #StJohnPeople to talk about the programme, with the Commander-in-Chief, Youth for St John.

We’d like to thank HRH for taking the time to talk to them and for continuing to be such a passionate ambassador for our youth volunteers and their leaders 💚

This time last year I was in Torbay, Devon with @stjohn_ambulance supporting the #nhs at #Torbay hospital with a great team of volunteers and staff. Even as an experienced first aider you go in one person and come out another, 4 weeks of 5 x 12 hour shifts caring for patients on wards, helping screen and triage patients arriving at the ED, dealing with upset and worried relatives, difficult people, tragic circumstances...
