[looking up how to paint autumn trees in watercolors] .... hm. you know maybe this is just really hard to do for everyone
#the ones that look good are all one color... most of the paintings of multicolor ones also look like kind of messy smush lmao#the tree I tried to paint is still green on the inside and going yellow and orange around the outside edges#not that I would do a good job anyway but I can imagine easily how one would manage this with an opaque paint--#starting with the darker shadowed green and building the layers of leaves up and out into 3D space#trying to manage the shading AND the color changes AND the textures in WATERCOLOR when I am Not Good At Painting This Kind Of Thing... lol#still very annoying not to be instantly good at this btw. like c'mon I already know how to do art... just fast track me on this.....#about me#my art
